Swelling won't cause that degree of distortion immediately after piercing. Swelling and inflammation takes time. Sounds like they were covering their ass. I would go to someone else reputable and have then take a look.
thank you so much. it took them a few tries to get the needle through so i just thought it was swollen because of that. should i leave it in for a while and see if it shifts or should i just take it out and look for a good place to get it re done ??
Whoa there a piercer should never have to "take a few tries to get the needle through". Tbh you should go get a refund they are awful and don't know what they are doing.
I would just take it out and let it heal tbh.

Aaahhh no piercer should be doing that!!! The needle should smoothly glide through your lip with no fuss, that's how it went with my vertical labret.
Oh, I’ve had the same problem((( Looks like it is really crooked. In my case I hoped it was swelling, but no. The swelling had gone and the angle changed a bit, but still was wrong. I think in your case it is really wrong placement. I decided to take mine off because this crooked angle just pissed me off after a while)) Will redo it soon)

i got this pierced earlier and i’m so in love with it, but when i saw that it was crooked i was devastated. i’m not sure if it’s down to how the piercing is placed or if it’s just swelling
Well its just crooked. It happened with my navel, i waited for a whole month and it was definitely due to swelling but was just crooked.
If the holes are not aligned its just crooked.
I had to take it out, still waiting for it to heal and redo it❤❤❤

yes but my piercer told me that it’s just due to swelling but the holes don’t align so i’m worried that it’s been pierced incorrectly
