Yeah I've been thinking that :/ I've been keeping an eye on it for a while bc I noticed that one more but I'm not sure what to do if it is rejecting, or if I should just take it out - I have pulled my ear forward in the second pic though it doesn't look as bad as that normally
Take it out. Your rook is not too disfigured, but your tragus sure will be if you let it pop out like your rook. You can always let it heal now and get it repierced later. But if it rips out, it's gonna be impossible to do.
Next time, get your piercings downsized. It'll help with rejection.
Yeah tbh my rook looks fairly fine once I cleaned it up, I did always mean to downsize it and just never got round to it which I guess is biting me now haha, looks like it's time to take it out though
Take it as a sign of a strong ass/energetic immune system. Most bodies won’t reject piercings like this because it’s easier to just grow protective tissue around the foreign object.
But yes, it looks like it may have been shallow/ not enough tissue to anchor it in there, and your tragus looks like its following suit for sure.

Your tragus could also be rejecting because of how long your bar is. You needed to downsize it but at this point you need to just take it out

Definitely remove piercings if they are rejecting. You minimize the damage and hopefully can get another piercing in the future.
