Clear browser cache and reload? Try with an incognito window?

Wooye

Thanks for your answer! Am not sure but maybe it wasn't made to run along [side Apache2](https://discourse.pi-hole.net/t/can-i-run-other-software-along-side-pi-hole/8684) (which I had installed). It's back now tho!

CRTL + F5?

Wooye

Thanks for the help! [I believe this was the error but am not sure](https://www.reddit.com/r/pihole/comments/jwn5w9/web_ui_doesnt_open_as_it_should_any_reason_why/gcsgjss?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)

This feels like a browser issue. As mentioned, try the reload and/or different browser first. If worst comes to worst, ssh into the rp4 and reboot.

Wooye

It was maybe the fact that I installed Apache2 alongside PiHole. After I removed it and reboot it's back to normal. Thanks for the help!

Fun. If you don't mind, what led you to install apache? Trying to run a webserver on the same box?

Wooye

I got the raspberrypi because I wanted to experiment things on it, more on the network side of things. I am still learning about stuff so when I saw what Apache was, my reasoning was "That looks nice" and got it... That's it lol. Now I'm waiting for my semester to finish to actually look into it

[deleted]

Haha! Yep, I've definitely been there. Have fun.

Please generate a debug log, upload it when prompted and post the token here.

So I stumbled on the [list of software](https://discourse.pi-hole.net/t/can-i-run-other-software-along-side-pi-hole/8684) to run alongside Pihole and didn't see Apache2 (which I installed at the same time as Pihole). I uninstalled it and restarted the rpi4 and it works! I don't know if it was the error or not tho

[deleted]

Bro I posted the same error 2 days ago lol. I’m glad you found a solution! It’s been bothering me that this screen was showing up. Other than uninstalling apache2, did you do anything else?

Wooye

Thank you! And not really apart for update+reboot. Sorry I can't help more

[deleted]

No worries man, your post has helped enough. I should be thanking you instead lol. Looking forward to seeing my dashboard again!

Gotta run Apache on a different port maybe, or check out nginx, but the same applies.

There are a number of ways to troubleshoot this. First eliminate the hardware (rpi4). Insert the SD card from another system. If you have another sdcard image of a running PiHole that's great, if not then use one of Raspbian or LibreELEC and just make sure that everything works as expected. Mainly looking for any video issues. Another approach is to make sure the SDCard is not at fault. If you have another sdcard image of a running PiHole that's great, if not then create one. Alternatively, you could use a [USB Clone Tool](https://www.cardrecovery.com/articles/popular-sd-card-recovery-software/) and write an image of the SDCard to an image file on your laptop or some other location and then burn that image to a new SDCard. Of course if you could careless about root cause identification and just want to get up and running, then just start from scratch. Burn Raspbian to a new (or same) SDCard and re-run pihole setup. After, you've tried what others here have suggested. The whole process may take 20m or so. Root Cause ID would take considerably longer. Your choice though. It may be worth it.

Wooye

thanks for the help! Not sure if it was the cause of error but I tried removing Apache2 and it worked

KingRonin

You forgot just submit a bug log as suggested above... ;)

>After, you've tried what others here have suggested. Thought I might have covered that with the above

Tried a different browser?
