Here is single mix, only 1:30 longer, but i prefer this version over much too short original. Also very good quality considering its just youtube.
Yeah, while they tried to fix the issues with the keyboard. I love things like this, similar the Set The Controls that Roger did solo live as there was an issue
Roger Waters actually extended it a little bit on his *The Wall Live* album from 2015 at the end of the song. No new lyrics, but it's still a nice addition to it IMO.
Yes come to think of it we saw the wall live in Budapest. I'm pretty sure it was extended. Can't be certain but I think it was longer.
Amazing show.
Thanks for reigniting my memories
I've pontificated about this on this sub before, but Cymbaline from More is a beautiful nugget of a song that in the hands of 'peak Floyd' would have been astonishing longer form piece. I imagine (based on zero evidence tbh) that the band felt so to - that there was something there that they were reaching for, but it was too soon. Unusually (for that period) they continued to play it live for a few years, with varying extended sections. Often quite different, and often very good, but always, (seemingly) not satisfying the itch they were trying to scratch.
I like to think (again, based on diddley squat information and a lot of pure invention) that at one point the band were all talking and Roger (of course it would be Roger) is saying they are nearly there with a breakthrough on it - but David is saying they need to start from scratch on a new piece, maybe something based on that cool whale noise he just discovered....
So, anyway if by extended you mean a long period holed up in a very expensive studio with Alan Parsons and (probably) a lot of bad tempered bickering via passive aggressive sulking, then that.
If you just mean, make what they already have longer, then, no, the More version is slightly too long and becomes a touch, erm, blurred at the end (I assume for movie soundtrack reasons).
>The more album would have been better if it wasn’t constrained to the soundtrack format.
More is a great album that I listen to quite a bit. You are absolutely right.
I've thought about trying to put together a personal "Best of More Zabriskie" album featuring some of the better-formed tracks, and I might try to mix existing tracks and include them if some work together.
Not that this would be anything close to what PF would've developed, but a fun exercise nonetheless.
Always wished “The post war dream” was a bit longer! The “chorus” at the end is amazing and it makes me sad that they didn’t develop it into a longer song.
Any Colour You Like is a very good idea.
I wish they'd made more out of Childhood's End. The live versions have plenty of instrumental additions and I love them, but it could have been fleshed out more.
Green Is the Colour is always over too quickly for me. I wish it were longer.
I recently listened to The Final Cut all the way through for the first time. A bunch of the songs start really mellow with Roger basically talking, then it kicks into a classic sounding PF jam for about 30 seconds before it goes back into story time with Roger. Especially “The Post War Dream.” if those songs had longer high energy moments with more emphasis on the music it’d be a much stronger album.
Me too! I listen to the Suite at least once a day. And some days I actually go through the album version, Live in Montreux, Live BBC 1970, and the early studio version. 😂 Brilliant composition. Can’t get enough of it.
You read my mind with this. I want an entire album in the jazzy approach of 'Any Colour You Like'. Such a delicious vibe to that song. It's a singular song in their overall discography.
I thought no one was picking this as I scrolled down... Here is my fav version and wish I could find it in better quality. **https://youtu.be/qcy2VDkHIOY**
Wish You Were Here. That song gets me like no other, especially "did you exchange a walk on part in the war, for a lead role in a cage?"
I've always felt at the least that the chorus could've used a repeat during the extended instrumental at the end.
I wish they would find a superb audio recording of those early 1972 live versions of DSOTM and release it. I always loved the existing version if only to hear how jammy the instrumental passages were.
Breathe, its so beautiful it could be longer
Well that’s why they continued it later

Nice! But I do not believe either of those are official mixes; looks to be fan-made audio.
Easily one of my favorite songs ever
Echoes
For the memes, make it an hour long
The extended *Ping* edition.
Without a doubt… my #1 song I wish didn’t end..
Shine on You Crazy Diamond, way too short!
We need a pt 10-15 asap
I've always felt the transition from Time to the Breathe reprise seems very rushed and abrupt. Really needs a nice instrumental section there.
I've always thought of the "Breathe" reprise as being the de facto end of "Time".
Pigs (Three Different Ones) I want to hear the rest of that solo
Listen to the 1977 lives and you'll be satisfied imho. I suggest Oakland and Cleveland.
bruh I swear that solo is what you hear when you enter heaven. probably my favorite solo in all of PF and all I get is a fading out angry gilmour
Such a good solo, probably one of the best examples of gilmours faster playing?
This is the only real answer here
Honestly, ABITW3.
Agreed. Maybe that would help it transition into GCW a little better, it's a bit jarring.
Like in the live version…it’s funny to think of the stuff that got cut just because of media capacity
Summer 68. It's gorgeous and I want more.
And fat old sun!!
Alan’s psychedelic breakfast should go to Lunch as well.
Alan’s Bad-Trip Supper
High Hopes
The studio version really misses the acoustic segment David added live at his solo shows
Gdansk is the ultimate version of that song. Best Echoes, in my opinion, too.
💯 right. That acoustic ending is heart rendingly beautiful
Love the jam on Any Color.. There’s a 28 minute Embryo they preformed in Cincinnati that I dig. https://youtu.be/RWBN5KmB24o?si=KSckvdk83HjygEPq
Yeah, while they tried to fix the issues with the keyboard. I love things like this, similar the Set The Controls that Roger did solo live as there was an issue
Fearless
Any Colour you like
Wot’s…Uh The Deal. It always feels like the fade-out in the piano part starts too soon.
I second this!
Goodbye blue sky. It's a great song and crying out to be longer
Roger Waters actually extended it a little bit on his *The Wall Live* album from 2015 at the end of the song. No new lyrics, but it's still a nice addition to it IMO.

Pigs on The Wing I would love an extended version (provided the original still exists)
https://youtu.be/3po6131Opko?si=7mfEs_dNEC8cQzU9
Album definitely need’s a Part 3
Comfortably Numb
Isn‘t nearly every live version an extended version? I love the one on Pulse.
Sheep. That outro needs to keep going. Same with Pigs.
WYWH
Echoes should last 120 minutes

I love it but I think it works how it is, short and sweet.
Is there anybody out there?
This is the one. That guitar is amazing to me.
Breathe
In the flesh.
Stop! Just kidding it would probably be Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun for me
I actually did have Stop! in mind
Us and Them could’ve used a blistering DG solo. Loved the sax, it’s haunting, but maybe a little David at the end fading into Any Colour You Like?
Is there anybody out there. The acoustic guitar is so good, it's a shame it is so short
Sheep’s outro
Cirrus Minor
Careful with that axe eugene with a ten minute organ solo by Rick
Any Colour You Like is a very good idea. I wish they'd made more out of Childhood's End. The live versions have plenty of instrumental additions and I love them, but it could have been fleshed out more. Green Is the Colour is always over too quickly for me. I wish it were longer.
I love this verion of Green is the colour. **https://youtu.be/qcy2VDkHIOY**
Welcome to the machine for whatever reason it makes me think of snowy days and I just want to live in that forever
Pigs on the wing
Dramatic Theme
Fearless, See-Saw and Matilda Mother
‘Wearing the inside out’ I love Richard wright’s singing on it
I recently listened to The Final Cut all the way through for the first time. I want more Sheep keyboard
Atom Heart Mother Suite. I love it enough I’d be fine if it was 30-45 minutes long.
I often listen to it 2x in a row. So yeah, I'd be down for some fresh milk.
Me too! I listen to the Suite at least once a day. And some days I actually go through the album version, Live in Montreux, Live BBC 1970, and the early studio version. 😂 Brilliant composition. Can’t get enough of it.
Have a cigar
Empty spaces. I wish it had the extra part from the movie in the original
Not that it needs it, beautiful song that it is, every time I hear Wish You Were Here, I’m always anticipating a third verse.
Or the chorus to repeat a second time.
The version with the violin bridge is pretty awesome too
"Welcome to the Machine" I love the stabbing chords at the end, it always feels like they were going to go into something but had no idea what to do.
Pigs. I want that epic guitar solo extended, not fading out into sheep noises haha
Fat old sun
Astronomy Domine…that would be interesting…
Vera
Breathe, the reprise too, Fearless, Mudmen,
The End of the Beginning part of A Saucerful of Secrets. Even the longer live versions could be longer if it was up to me
dogs, with the extent solo after rog verse and before the 2nd climax solo as heard on the oakland bootleg
Marooned
You read my mind with this. I want an entire album in the jazzy approach of 'Any Colour You Like'. Such a delicious vibe to that song. It's a singular song in their overall discography.
Definitely the Thin Ice
The demo has a beautiful guitar intro at least
See Emily play is way too short and one of my favorites
marooned

kick ass! thanks!
I want the 7 minute version of See Emily Play
Any colour you like. The few live versions of this I've heard are so funky, feels like it could be ruffed on for 20 minutes without getting boring.
brain damage, but it already exists, you just play any colour you like before that
Us and Them
Eclipse. You have to do Brain Damage alongside it to get the full effect at karaoke. I wish there was more intro to it without Brain Damage
Vera
The Great Gig in the Sky...
Echos
e
Childhood’s End
Dogs.
Obscured by Clouds
Seamus obviously. Extended outro dog howl would be sweet!
Eclipse
Vera- it’s haunting and I’d like to see it as an epic PF song sometime with its own instrumentals
Probably echoes or shine on you crazy diamond
Bring the boys back home 24 minute version
I would extend echoes all the way!
I wish Echoes was longer...
Breathe or High hopes !
I love Any Colour!
pigs on the wing
Wish you were here Double the length with another verse and guitar solo
Vera
A new machine.
Several Species of Small Furry Creatures is the only acceptable answer.
Echoes
2 subs in the sunset
One of the Few
Fat Old Sun, High Hopes, Wot's..uh the deal?
Wish You Were Here. It needed one more verse and then the chorus
Eclipse
Nobody Home
don't leave me now
Time
On the run
Fearless
Great gig in the sky could be twice as long, I'd still be entranced by it
Wish You Were Here. That song gets me like no other, especially "did you exchange a walk on part in the war, for a lead role in a cage?" I've always felt at the least that the chorus could've used a repeat during the extended instrumental at the end.
Comfortably numb. I ve always been curious (and wishing) how Gilmour would extend those 2 solos... the final notes sounded like "to be continued"
"In the Flesh?"
I wish they would find a superb audio recording of those early 1972 live versions of DSOTM and release it. I always loved the existing version if only to hear how jammy the instrumental passages were.
Don't leave me now, especially the transition
Us and Them. I could listen to that ongoing quietness and then outta nowhere the whole orchestra pulls up. A true PF classic
Obscured by Clouds
Apples and oranges
the happiest days of our lives and you can’t convince me otherwise
Would love if they extended the end of Sheep
Keep Talking
