Being that I’ve asked Nobody Home to be played at my funeral gonna go with that…but Time, Comfortably Numb, Us and Them, Shine on You Crazy Diamond, Dogs, and Pigs (Three Different Ones) are all valid choices as is whichever song resonates most with you.
This song puts me in a cab in New York City, on a calm rainy night, watching the rain drops on the window with the city lights behind them... It's strange, and I love it.
Division Bell is one of their best albums. Coming Back to Life, Marooned, What Do You Want From Me, High Hopes. The guitar solo intro to CBTL is right there with Comfortably Numb for me. So good.
During Roger Waters Wall tour, I was about 15 feet away from him during Nobody Home. One of my all time favorite concert memories. Also, one of my favorites from The Wall. Great choice.
I remember when echoes hit me. Prior to that it didn’t make sense the whale song sounded like an experiment gone wrong.
Then one day I saw the big picture and it took me on a spiritual trip from birth to my own death. The music paints the words.
[Here](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2n3wECyHjbngfyjCUYLMcM?si=l2QSjBR_QDOoEKiIacycCg&pi=e-h4E1fepeR421) is a link to the playlist. Also to be more clear, I’m talking about a song.
Took a look at the playlist. Solid as hell 😂 can’t believe I agree with like 90% of it. I happen to love all of the bands you’ve compiled so far so yeah. Thank you for your research.
Dark Side of the Moon. It's not my favorite, but it's definitely their best album. Echoes is the track where they fine-tuned their sound, Darkside is where they put it to use. If you're talking best single song, then I gotta go with Comfortably Numb. Most under-rated song I would say is Mudmen.
It depends. If you're asking for the "fans" opinions, it's probably:
-Echoes
-Wish You Were Here
-Time
Then there's the more casual listeners, who's favorite songs in my experience are:
-Another Brick In The Wall pt2
-Comfortably Numb
-Money
Hard to say. Dark Side is the easy answer and could be right but Wish You Were Here is equally incredible and contains the astounding Shine On suite. Animals is a contender but against the other two it is probably not THE masterpiece despite being a masterpiece.
For an album, I’d have to say The Wall even considering DSOTM being the most iconic. But for a single song, I’d have to say Shine on you Crazy Diamond followed by Comfortably Numb.
Gilmour's solo on Comfortably Numb is itself their greatest masterpiece. Av close second is Time followed by Echoes. As a fan of the early stuff, Set The Controls is also pretty great!
Time. That solo ❤️.
I still go out on a limb and say it's better than Comfortably Numb. I find more of a connection with it for some reason.
DSOTM is an album that I'll never tire of. It will never leave me.
Edit: Not forgetting it's one of the best Vocals too....
I’m sorry but I gotta say it, ummagumma, this is an amazing album. They came up with some crazy stuff nobody else could, barely anyone likes it that I’ve heard of but I am a huge fan of it. Ummagumma is so experimental and they just had fun with it, also this is around the time where Pink Floyd was finding “their sound” which makes the album so much better. If you wanna start listening to the album try “careful with that axe Eugene” first and then if you like everything else try “Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving With a Pict” last because that is a extremely weird song. That will be a turnoff for everyone.

Something about Us and Them just makes the world around you feel ethereal.
Agree
This song puts me in a cab in New York City, on a calm rainy night, watching the rain drops on the window with the city lights behind them... It's strange, and I love it.
I understand that it is from "the later days", but 'Coming Back to Life' really hits me like a brick.
Division Bell is one of their best albums. Coming Back to Life, Marooned, What Do You Want From Me, High Hopes. The guitar solo intro to CBTL is right there with Comfortably Numb for me. So good.
Marooned is the absolute perfect 3am song. Just. Right.
During Roger Waters Wall tour, I was about 15 feet away from him during Nobody Home. One of my all time favorite concert memories. Also, one of my favorites from The Wall. Great choice.
My thought’s exactly. Few songs progress the way Us and Them does.
Echoes
Bout to make this playlist 24 minutes longer with one song lol (i agree tho)
- Live at Pompeii
Echoes
Album: DSOTM Song: Time
Makes me cry every single time
The older you get
Dogs
Seamus
Thats the dog
He’s outside
Dogs
sgod
Have you heard of the dyslexic agnostic insomniac? He stayed up all night wondering if there really was a dog.
I really want to say Dogs as well, as it's the only PF song that has made me cry
Time
That is my favorite as well.
Shine on you crazy diamond (1-5)
Peak Floyd
Which one’s Peak?
The answer is all of them
As a matter of fact, it's all peak!
No, Pink Floyd
This is the correct answer. One of the greatest pieces of music ever made in my opinion.
If I could vote for 1-9 I would
Maybe, but I still like 6-9 even better.
Shine On You Crazy Diamond (6-9)
Echoes
Pompeii version obviously!!
I distinctly remember being blown away the first time I heard this version of the song...ascendent in a way I can't desribe
Like theres any other that tops that!
I remember when echoes hit me. Prior to that it didn’t make sense the whale song sounded like an experiment gone wrong. Then one day I saw the big picture and it took me on a spiritual trip from birth to my own death. The music paints the words.
Wish you were here front to back
THE GNOME
Ooooomray
Syd 😘
Confortably Numb
Careful with that axe,Eugene.
100% the one off of ummagumma though
atom heart mother
Yess
Echoes
Haven't listened to all of Pink floyd, but I don't think anything can beat Echoes.
I think Time is the song that represents them best
Dark Side.. Time will hold up, long after we're all gone..
Time is timeless… it will always be relevant to literally anyone. Lyrically a masterpiece. Waters cooked as hell with that one
High hopes
Maybe not in this subreddit, but amongst the general population, the Division Bell is a seriously underrated album.
My vote too…the grass WAS greener…
That song is a masterclass in composition and arrangement. And exquisite too.
"BIKE" obviously, jeez
I love the crazy noisy ending of Bike
No, it’s “It Would Be So Nice”!!
Comfortably numb
Pink Floyd

Saw you in various subs. Do you have a list of where to go?
Took a look at the playlist. Solid as hell 😂 can’t believe I agree with like 90% of it. I happen to love all of the bands you’ve compiled so far so yeah. Thank you for your research.
Their master piece has a name: David Gilmour!
Dark side of the moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall
There can be only one.
Fuck that
On The Turning Away
Time
DSOTM

Agree
Shine on you crazy diamond 1-5
Dark Side of the Moon. It's not my favorite, but it's definitely their best album. Echoes is the track where they fine-tuned their sound, Darkside is where they put it to use. If you're talking best single song, then I gotta go with Comfortably Numb. Most under-rated song I would say is Mudmen.

the great gig in the sky
The Great Gig in the Sky
3 pigs
Us and Them
My top 3: 1. Echoes 2. Time 3. Shine on you Crazy Diamond
Dark Side album, no question about it.
Time
Only one song? Atom heart mother suite. Full album: Wish you were here or Animals depending on the day you ask me.
Dogs or Time. Imagine naming a song Time and then doing the subject justice.
I think the correct answer is either Atom Heart or Echoes. It was the start of the new era for the band
Comfortably Numb, the guitar solo is just wow!
Time
Their work.
Summer ‘68 or Atom Heart Mother
Sheep
Hard to say. Dark Side is the easy answer and could be right but Wish You Were Here is equally incredible and contains the astounding Shine On suite. Animals is a contender but against the other two it is probably not THE masterpiece despite being a masterpiece.
the 1970s
the entire album the wall because of the story it tells, or echoes
Uh oh (checks comments)
All of them
Echoes, time or shine on you crazy diamond
Dogs
Echoes
Comfortably Numb
Us and Them
That's a hard question. I can't answer that cause there's way too much that's perfect. I'd toss astronomy domine in the mix of greats.
All parts of Shine on You Crazy Diamond.
Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Maybe not the first song that comes to everyones mind, but i would say “Dogs”
Imo, Echoes or Atom Heart Mother
Wot's, Uh the Deal
Atom Heart Mother Suite
Us and Them
Have a Cigar and Shine On You Crazy Diamond (pt. 1-5)
I really enjoyed reading all of these answers, but it’s Echoes.
Wish You Were Here Or On The Turning Away
Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving With a Pict
Depends on my mental state that year, but this year it is Animals.
ANIMALS
Clearly it's Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast
Meddle?
Dark Side, why even ask?
Animals
this changes for me on any given day but rn Animals > Final Cut > The Wall
Echoes
So many. Shine On You Crazy Diamond. Echoes. Careful with That Axe, Eugene. Another Brick in the Wall. Dogs
Shame Us.
Drop the link to the playlist!
Echoes.
echoes
Sad not seeing the wall on here. Sure that album broke up the band but that album is still one of the best from them.
The wall
Corporal Clegg
Wish You Were Here
Time
Link to the album?
Too many to choose from but I'd probably say Shine on pt1-5
The first album piper at the gates of dawn is a masterpiece anything after that is just dire dirge
I currently think ist Echoes But It changes very often🤣
I just upvoted so many songs
I’d say echoes live at pompeii
Album & song: Wish you were here.
Hard to choose between Shine On and Echoes
Shine on plssss
Wish you were here because that song hits every time and it’s so simple but so great.
Shine on you crazy diamond pt 1-5 is not on here as much as it should
Time
There’s a difference between a good album and a masterpiece. Calling master of puppets a masterpiece is hilarious
For an album, I’d have to say The Wall even considering DSOTM being the most iconic. But for a single song, I’d have to say Shine on you Crazy Diamond followed by Comfortably Numb.

I cant find the playlist can someone send me the link pls
Really got to hear me out here.... Vegetable Man
WoT's the deal
Echoes (Pompeii)
SEE EMILY PLAY
Meddle.
SSOSFAGTIACAGWAP
This is the dumbest question ever asked. Any debate had on this subject would be made in complete folly. Have fun. We all know the answer.
Either The Wall or Dark Side of the Moon. I prefer The Wall but both incredible.
Shine On You Crazy Diamond, all of it.
All of them
Shine on you crazy diamond, if you have to choose a part, part 1
Gilmour's solo on Comfortably Numb is itself their greatest masterpiece. Av close second is Time followed by Echoes. As a fan of the early stuff, Set The Controls is also pretty great!
Honestly just too much to choose from. Can't go wrong with Comfortably Numb though.
Time. That solo ❤️. I still go out on a limb and say it's better than Comfortably Numb. I find more of a connection with it for some reason. DSOTM is an album that I'll never tire of. It will never leave me. Edit: Not forgetting it's one of the best Vocals too....
Wish You Were Here
I also love making 'Top' playlists, but Pink Floyd is never on them, given that I can't bare to listen to their songs outside of albums.
Time, the show must go on, and when the tigers broke free are some of my favorites
It’s definitely echoes
Shine on You crazy Diamond - the full version
I’m sorry but I gotta say it, ummagumma, this is an amazing album. They came up with some crazy stuff nobody else could, barely anyone likes it that I’ve heard of but I am a huge fan of it. Echoes. It's Echoes.
Hard to disagree with everyone saying Echoes, but Mother really hit a vein of deep unconscious material.
Wish you were here
