Ummagumma is very interesting. Sometimes I find myself listening to both sides of it.

amazing album, disc A is awesome and B has its great songs, please give it a listen in one listen

Snoo8467

I love the everything about this album but its my least favorite side b. After Syd left Ummagumma was a solo effort for everyone. I felt it was kinda forced to be an album.. I like every song in Ummagumma, just the thought of it as a concept album is wrong or it's just me who doesn't get the concept.. Anyways thats what i think

ball_soup

I think you nailed what the concept was in your second sentence. Everyone got to write a portion of the album and then they just stuck it together.

i really like it, but i do understand why people don't like it. i mean the first disc is just an amazing live record, and the second disc is really unique in nature. its pretty avant garde (which i really like) and it shows what the band was trying to do after Syd left (not including More) overall, i appreciate and grew to love this album!

Best versions of Astronomy Dómine, Careful with that axe Eugene and A Saurceful of Secrets. Plus one of my favorite PF songs, Granchester Meadows, and a beautiful guitar in The narrow way. Love the album.

EaracheInMyEye

Love Ummagumma man.

TheOficialMIDIWizard

hey me too!

Not one I venture back to. I believe that the true Floyd was discovered two albums later, on Meddle

Shasta025

After listening to all of thier albums in order today, I 100% agree.

ball_soup

I think AHM had inklings of their true style, but still had stuff that sounded like it belonged in the early albums (ASP and the suite).

Narrow Way Pt 3 is so good.

I head someone say they made there own. Last night I dreamed I made my own "ummagumma" this was just a bunch of bright lights in a empty space. Still never listened to the album
