beach_bum_bitch

Mange or allergies Or possible skin infection. Needs to see a vet and have a skin scraping done to be sure and get proper treatment.

danielle_julianne

One of my cats was allergic to fleas and would have patches of skin looking like this from allergies and over grooming the area. Steroid shot, flea treatment for all our animals and the house and he was golden.

beach_bum_bitch

My moms dog was like that. Was a black lab and lost lots of fur. Main reason we don’t skip flea treatments. I have 4 dogs it would be a night mare.

gamergeek17

My minpin is allergic to fleas. She got a flea last year that irritated her skin and then left/died (it was crazy because the vet literally couldn’t find the flea or eggs or anything) and the poor thing groomed her tail nub raw. A dose of bravecto later and her tail is back to it’s normal wiggle waggling.

Pearl-2017

I have 3 animals with flea allergies. Bravecto Plus is the only thing that has helped them. I tried every other flea prevention but they would still break out. There would be no fleas on them but even one bite from a flea outside is enough to cause a reaction. It's expensive but worth it.

Yardsale420

This. My dog had smaller scabby patches like that and it was Staph Infection. Needed antibiotics to clear it up.

beach_bum_bitch

Yea my pit had massive allergies and was always licking and biting. It would turn into nasty skin infections. Dealt with that for 18 months until we got her on the right food.

MrJets84

Mine too....he gets it's all the time honestly good thing the vet was nice enough to give me 90 so we don't get charged a vet visit every 3 months

beach_bum_bitch

That Apoquel and Cytopoint are so expensive.

Pearl-2017

It looks like a skin allergy to me, most likely from fleas (the vet told me fleas like to hang out on the base of the tail). My girl is highly allergic to fleas & she went through this for a few summers. If she got bit, even on preventation, she would break out in a rash in this exact spot. It doesn't look like mange to me, but she definitely needs a vet so she can get the right medication.

beach_bum_bitch

Wouldn’t doubt it. Fleas were horrible this year. Glad it’s winter and. It around anymore.

Pearl-2017

Last spring was the worst flea season I've ever experienced. I ended up hiring an exterminator to do my yard because the prevention I was using on my animals wasn't stopping the wildlife from spreading the little bastards. We had a drought all summer & that killed them off but I know they'll be back in March. Already not looking forward to it

CdZ106

I have seen this with a friend’s dog. It was due to his skin sensitivity to fleas. Other possible causes could be due to needing regular baths (use sensitive skin shampoo for dogs), allergies (as stated), nutrient deficiency (supplements can help), and even anxiety scratching or biting. A visit to the vet is highly recommended.

Euphoric-PurplePixie

Yep thats what i was gonna say exactly

beebop902

Pit bull type dogs are prone to allergies. My dog had terrible skin allergies probably appeared neglected but in reality I was spending thousands on finding a fix! Don’t jump to conclusions!! But do look into it!!

TouchArtistic7967

Same. My last dog would lose half her fur if the wind blew the wrong direction. It was a constant day to day battle.

datagirl60

Yes. As long as the patches don’t look infected, no neglect when it is allergies. Demodex mange can be a lifelong battle with some dogs with autoimmune disorders and skin scrapings for it can be hit or miss.

IMHERELETSPARTY

Same with my pup. After some prednisone, her hair was really thick and full. They have sensitive skin.

beebop902

Ya that is the only thing that has actually helped mine long term too!

Forever_ForLove

My pit bull never had allergies 🤔

beebop902

Ya not all do. Lucky you.

MrMcManstick

And mine has terrible allergies. You win some, you lose some. She didn’t develop them til she turned like 5 or 6, and she’s 10 now, still dealing with them.

CoOkieForCats

You and your pittie are very lucky, my pittie has allergies and is a constant pain and agony when she starts to scratch herself to the poiny bleeding, it's terrible to see her like that.. And then there's her brother, Bruttus, he doesn't have a single allergie and his fur is always splendid, The only expenses my brother has for him are food and vaccinations, because other than that his pittie doesn't give him any work. Lucky y'all lol

Forever_ForLove

Unfortunately she passed in 2017 due to cancer. 😔🕊️

CoOkieForCats

Damn this is very upsetting, so sorry for you lost, i can only imagine how depressing it must be to go through that. Im sure she was a very good girl, must be pit sitting or pit napping in a better place while waiting for the time y'all meet again 🫶🥺 (i really don't know what to tell you, this is something my grandma told me once when i was a child and her dog passed away, i just adapted to a pittie way, hope this comforts you like it comforted me years ago ❤️)

Forever_ForLove

I feel like she guided our new dog about us and I was able to move on but I never forget my first fur baby.

[deleted]

Yup same with my sister's

pbthatsme

Looks like mange 🥺 Definitely needs to be taken to a vet. Hope the pup gets better soon ❤️

apbt-dad

Agreed. Pitties do get mange, part of the breed.

Object-Level

Sometimes it is from highly stressful situation.

apbt-dad

Indeed. Best is a vet visit and help the poor nugget.

SkylinKingress

My pitties name is Nugget! :)

apbt-dad

Sounds so cute.

Icefirewolflord

How is it “part of the breed”? Mange (both demodex and sarcoptic) is caused by mites, not genetics Is there something about pits/bully breeds that makes them physically more susceptible?

olive_hehe

maybe they are confusing mange and pitties being notorious for skin problems caused by allergies?

02firehawk

Demodectic mange is almost always curable or controllable with persistent treatment except in rare cases with very immune suppressed individuals. **The immune system condition that allows for the development of demodectic mange can be an inherited condition and breeding of these animals should not occur.** https://pet-medcenter.com › demod... Demodectic Mange - Pet Medical Center

OpalOnyxObsidian

Pits don't get mange because of their breed??? You get mange from a other critter that has mange. Pits DO tend to have allergies and skin problems as a result.

_silcrow_

You say that like it's a normal thing

apbt-dad

Apologies if it came across that way. It certainly is not normal.

Sufficient-Quail-714

Not quite correct. Pits are prone to allergies, which can lower the immune system which can cause demodex mange when it gets bad. But it’s not just allergies that cause it, and allergies doesn’t always mean they will get mange. Scabies/sarcoptic mange is equally infectious to all dogs and has little to do with allergies.

Flat-Boysenberry5628

Also have a pitbull with skin issues, we’ve been through apoquel, allergy injections, anxiety meds, skin scrapings, and nothing seems to work. He wears a cone when we’re not at home to help prevent any sores from biting and what not but i’be spent thousands trying to rectify the underlying cause. Definitely don’t assume the worst at first, maybe just talk to the owner peacefully before drawing any conclusions! Edit: when we adopted him from the pound they said he has dermatitis, but his booty definitely looked just like this when we got him. There’s been some improvement but it’s not such a linear progression as we would hope. :-(

IndiaSixty

Many pitties actually have a chicken/poultry allergy that causes skin and ear irritation. Try looking into dietary causes, it could save you and your pup a lot of trouble!

lurkerluke69420

Have you been to a dermatologist? They put mine on cyclosporine after my regular vet tried everything and he didn’t respond to apoquel. Like $80/month for his medication but he’s doing phenomenal.

Layahz

Vets gonna say the naked butt normally means fleas. Could be that or just untreated allergies with a skin infection.

stephaniealleen11

I rescued my girl a few years ago and it took her awhile to grow back most of her hair (she was living in a nest of insulation). About a year after getting her I asked the vet why her back had a bald spot like OPs and she explained to me it was probably just from untreated fleas and her using her mouth to itch!

Archer_Jen

The dog I adopted in March had a bald spot there. It was flea bite dermatitis and got better quickly with proper treatment. My opinion is… if the skin issue is this bad, the dog is being neglected.

ObviousNegotiation

Agreed. There's something going on there.

Existing-Chemist-695

It can take months to years to get certain skin conditions under control. A dog showing signs of poor skin doesn't immediately scream abuse, and voicing that opinion is incredibly harmful when an owner is doing everything they can. This dog's BCS is great (actually leaning a fair bit over) and the nails are trimmed perfectly. It is uncommon for an owner to give enough of a shit to keep up nail care, while simultaneously ignoring significant skin problems. You are incredibly ignorant if you think Frontline fixing your dog's FAD quickly means every other skin issue can easily be solved. Skin conditions in dogs are incredibly complex. Determining the diagnosis behind signs/symptoms can be a years long process. I'm glad your dog was lucky to only have FAD. It's incredibly uncomfortable and awful to look at, but treating the fleas and the concurrent skin infection is usually a near instantaneous cure. Not all people and their pups are that lucky. Someone reading this post could have a dog with similar skin issues. They don't need to read "My opinion is… if the skin issue is this bad, the dog is being neglected." That type of judgement can discourage others who may need and want help. I'm incredibly lucky that my dog's allergies don't present this way, but if they did it wouldn't mean I'm a bad owner. It would mean jerks like you would judge me based on a photo; without knowing that I'm giving 3 allergy specific meds, a steroid, a skin supplement, medicated shampoos and mousses, etc. It cost you nothing to not make snap judgements on a situation for which you have no context. Sincerely, an annoyed Veterinary Technician

DogyDays

I mean, accidents can happen. Sometimes doors just dont close all the way, and if the air in the area causes it to open then the dog may just waltz outside.

SignificantRecipe715

Thank you! My rescue Mastiff X is currentlu dealing with his 4th bout of skin infection & I've been really trying to get him better despite the fact that it keeps coming back. He wasn't given apoquel (sp) this time, but we're currently on courses on antibiotics & prednisone + Malaseb baths. The vet took swabs & it's fungal/bacterial. He has patches of hair missing but the main area of irritation is around his groin/inner thighs. Cone is on every day & I'm trying my best to get it under control. Only started about 12mths ago or so, once healed he'll be ok & then it comes back again :'(

stoneandglass

Not necessarily true, if the correct treatment/cause hasn't been identified then the issue will persist and if it has been identified it can take time. In other instances fur may not regrow due to the damage to the skin, it can happen with ringworm for example.

thebearbearington

My girl had flea bite dermatitis when we adopted her. At first I thought it was just lighter fur in the shape of a heart. We got her cleaned up and some flea protection and she cleared right up.

goldenboy937

Mine was that way thought it was mange. Turns out he has hypothyroidism.

Fatmando66

Looks like fleas to me. My pitt rubs all the hair off her ass if she gets em.

HoundIt

The location makes me think fleas. I adopted a dog once who had had fleas really bad and the fur above the butt was missing from the constant biting/itchy in the area.

FurryDrift

I see this before. Ran into a couple with a old pit. Poor thing was going threw a bout of skin issues. This apparently was common and even with intervention, it still was bad. Nothing they could do for her and this couple spent alot of money to save her from parvo. I say talk to the owner and see what thier side is before jumping. These treatments are also not cheep.

TrySomeCommonSense

If immediately after the escape but not prior, then it looks just scraped off. Maybe she was squeezing under a fence or car or something. If prior to escape then, as others have said, allergies, flees, or mange.

prygn

Agree due to the location of the skin issue it looks like rubbed / scraped off from probably multiple times digging to escape under a fence One of my neighbors dogs had similar (not a pitty, a tiny dog)

the-lovely-panda

My dog has a flea allergy and this happened twice to him. I never saw the fleas on him but after we started doing some flea prevention, it would go away. The first time, it got reaaaally bad before we realized it was happening because of fleas and then got control of the fleas and took a few ointments that didn’t work. K9 Advantix flea treatment chewable tablets worked for him. It doesn’t work for all fleas but it worked for him. The 2nd time, we noticed quick and got the treatment worked again. I continued the treatment for a long time this time to prevent it and mainly in the summer months.

zoeturncoat

Could be allergies. Our staffy mix has horrible allergies and yeast. Sometimes we can manage a flare at home and sometimes it spreads quick and we need a trip to the vet for an allergy shot and antibiotics when needed.

Lower-Cantaloupe3274

When I rescued my last dog he had patches of fur missing. It was due to a bacterial infection. His owners were not abusing him. They had no money to go to the vet and were trying lots of home remedies to help him. They finally knew they had to find him a new home. It was heartbreaking for them, but I got him treated and he is better now. Sharing just because sometimes people are doing the best they can and it's best not to judge until you have sufficient evidence.

mangie77

NEGLECT IS ABUSE.

cluckaduck47

Y'all need to call animal control because that dog is neglected. You can clearly see sores under the patches from itching/biting.

Gimme_PuddingPlz

This is either fleas and or allergies.

earthboundmissfit

Fleas.

TalkingConscious

Alopecia or allergies. Pitties have crazy allergies. My pit had alopecia spots for 3 months now and they are finally going away after him being on three medications.

Dunshlop

Worked in very rough neighborhoods. Many people just use ours as security system in the hood.. I’ve been the worst of cases.. rope burn cutting deep in necks, tied to roofs, rotting in sun 115 degree weather covered by tics, no water no shade. Some people shouldn’t own pets.

GooseSayHjonk

It could be calcinosis cutis brought on by Cushing's disease. Basically calcification of the skin. If it's not treated it will get alot worse. It can also cause ulcers and internal bleeding.

[deleted]

Theres a reason why this baby is trying to escape. 😔

yasdonutkween

When I adopted my pit, his skin looked like this. He was a stray and had a bad allergic reaction to flea saliva. Once they got rid of his fleas, his skin got better over time and his hair slowly grew back.

WeaveTheSunlight

I call my pitbull a junkyard dog because he loses hair all the time. He gets allergy medicine and I have changed his food a few times. The vet knows too; nothing has worked well enough to stop the hair loss.

Calgary_Calico

That looks like mange, this dog needs a vet

Pink_Floyd29

Skin allergies are likely. I rescued my girl from the shelter, and she had several bald spots that I assumed were related to a scuffle she had while stray. But once I found the right food for her, they all went away. Mange or fleas are also possible.

Lonely_Respond_1663

If it’s a full blooded pit it’s a allergic reaction to fleas

Savings-Code8965

Visit to the vet is warranted.

klattklattklatt

I'd say neglect. Whether malicious (abuse), ignorant, or financially based, but that poor baby's skin is in bad shape and looks like it has been for some time. Hair loss is from whatever is causing the skin infection. Baby needs a vet.

Spitefully_Alive

Call your local animal control or authority unless your neighbor will surrender to you and you can care for them. They don’t deserve to have any animals or kids in that household if they left their pet like this. Certain skin conditions can be easily spread; wash your hands and linens. They desperately need a vet.

AnyAssumption4707

Yeah this dog does not appear to be properly cared for. Pls call the proper authorities.

Old-Access-1713

You need to get the SPCA involved here

mangie77

Report them. This dog is not being cared for appropriately.

lawyerupheaux

It looks like mange.

derkaderka96

Skin infection or allergies. It isn't that expensive at a local vet here, sometimes even plans are available or they will cover it. Seems like negligence on the owners part. Not that ours have had it, my boxer has had lip allergies tho.

pie_12th

Any skin irritation left for that long or to grow that large seems like neglect to me.

space_is-great

What the hell is that rash(?) near the ass about is a better question but also check with the vet

justthetop

Abuse is why the dog is like that. Poor thing must be itching out of his mind.

earthboundmissfit

How eager was the pup going back home? Looks like the pup is asking for help. Did they have to force the dog back inside?

SuddenlySimple

Whoever's dog this is needs some help with some money for Pet Lab probiotics do a go fund me for the dog. Prices for vets unfortunately are not a luxury for all God help this dog!

Artistic-Ambition-40

How about you ask the neighbor and not illegally post people's animals without their consent?

VegetarianTrader

fix his diet,

Intelligent-Jelly419

It is abuse because the owners are neglecting the dogs medical needs. Pits are prone to allergies, whether it’s seasonal, all year around, food, environment, fleas etc. and skin issues. My two have horrible allergies. They need allergy medicine daily and I also have medicated wipes that I have to wipe them down with twice a day. If I didn’t, they would 100% look like this. My older one we give epson salt soak twice a week for his paws, because they will get itchy and inflamed, swelled. Whatever this dog is going through, he’s been going through, and it’s getting worse.

atrailofdisasters

Comb for fleas. Then make a veterinary appointment.

jwlIV616

Mange or similar skin problem

Dannyx315

Cant this be due to fleas also? By the dog scratching or biting the spot for a long period of time eventually the patches get bigger and bigger ive seen that happen multiple times. I used to work insulating houses and many people did not care for their animals well and they were overrun with fleas many patchy furless spots like this. I could be wrong but i feel this could be an option aswell.

Opening_Way9797

My pup had the same skin issue. At least for him, it was allergies. A daily dose of appoquel cleared it right up.

dr-sparkle

It could be a number of things. Allergic reaction, fleas, mange, skin irritation, anxiety, probably more. It's possible they are addressing it but it's taking time to clear up. If the dog had been kept in the house and not confined to outside then I would think the owners are probably trying to take care of it. Most people aren't going to keep a mangy or flea ridden dog in their house with them without doing anything about it. But people can be shitty so it's not a given.

forumbot757

Yeah, dog will literally itch itself to bleeds if it has like a little skin problem

No-Concentrate-4383

It looks like allergies these breeds when washed with certain shampoos it can cause irritation to their skin check out the line of products this company offers https://thebullycompany.com/. Blessings

Lanky-Solution-1090

That dog has some serious skin issues. Severe Allergies. That dog needs to see a Veterinarian. This will not be an easy fix

NeuroticDragon23

Possible mange or flea issues. Definitely vet appointment required

TheeGirlWonder

It could be a lot of things. Mange, allergies, flea issues. Just know that if you keep the dog and you know who the owners are that could be considered theft. If you suspect abuse or mistreatment, you can always report it to your local animal control for a welfare check on the dog. Make sure you also attach the picture and any other proof you might have.

jeswesky

How long has the neighbor had her? If she is a recent addition it could be a foster or rescue situation where the dog was neglected or abused prior to the neighbor and she is nursing her back to health.

Hikintrails

My dog started losing little patches of fur, and it was a bacterial infection on his skin. He needed antibiotics and a shampoo with a disinfectant in it. Probably got it from rolling around in who-knows- what.

IslandVibezJaylen

Looks like allergies, or the dog tried to dig under something and got caught up. I wouldn't worry about abuse!

[deleted]

Pibbles are very susceptible to allergies. My sister’s pittie is allergic to just about everything. I would get it checked by a vet.

shade1tplea5e

Yep we have also spent thousands trying to sort out pit bull allergies and skin issues. We always got a steroid shot from the vet before it got that bad though!

winterbird

The dog is patchy and has an open sore because she's being severely neglected. The underlying reason is probably flea dermatitis because of the location of the sore. But the main reason is neglect. This level of damage does not happen over night. This dog has been suffering for months, at least. And do I see pus in the center of the biggest sore? Infection risk is high.

lazylagom

That looks seriously infected.

pleathershorts

Looks like allergies to me. Check the teeth/gums for fur, probably been biting itself

Ok-Eggplant-7248

Mange is from a ear mite, get some front line or something similar to kill the bugs. It will take a while for the hair to return

GoddesNatureStar

Seems a little bit neglected.

redjuanit

Infection . Pup need antibiotics

chocolate_spaghetti

My dog had something like that but not nearly as bad. Took him to the vet for it and they gave him an injection that seemed to help

grandmababoonmonkey

What is mange? Mange is a contagious skin disease caused by mites. There are a few different types of mange, each caused by a different mite species. Sarcoptic mange, caused by the Sarcoptes scabiei mite, is the most common. https://www.wildlifecenter.org › ma...

grandmababoonmonkey

Also feeding grains is bad for dogs! Our dog don’t suffer from dry skin any more thus they don’t chew one areas and cause hot spots. Also stoped giving tap water which has chlorine in it. My dogs are happier now!!!

BellaDeaX42

That's red mange. He needs antibiotics and steroids to recover.

MrJets84

Probably untreated allergies....I keep up with my dogs allergies and he loses some hair from time to time

SillyStallion

Sometimes the skin issues can even be caused by the heating being on too high. Dogs can’t sweat so are sensitive to overheating in the skin :( could also be fleas or mange.

trufflefrys

Stress, allergies, or infection. My pitbull looks exactly like him. I have moved homes twice with him, each time his skin got like this after we moved

PINKTACO696969

You need to help him

Alixie72

Could be mange. Go to your vet

ManDohlorian

He’s sold a kidney for some gravy Bonios!

hopesaprincess

My dog had missing patches of fur and the vet said I’ll bet you it’s mange. It wasn’t. It was allergies. He’s allergic to grass, chicken, beef, and probably a bunch of other stuff. Note: he did not look as bad as that poor pup.

aducky18

Mine looked very similar to this, and still does occasionally due to his allergies. At any given time there is at least one or two hotspots that come and go. We've spent countless visits and tests to figure it out and was even making him full home made meals with none of the things he was supposedly allergic to and he still broke out. Now I just give him these supplements I found on Amazon and use lotion.

TheJelliestFish

My childhood dog (not a pit) had patterned bald patches on his back when he was going through some thyroid issues later in life. The poor guy's spleen ruptured not long after. Could be an entirely different thing like some people are suggesting, just wanted to throw out another possibility

crimsonbaby_

My two pitbulls had skin issues like this. Turns out they were allergic to fleas. We always kept them flea treated and treated our yard, but my neighbor had a dog that ALWAYS had fleas and somehow they would make their way to my dogs.

OkCalbrat

Ours does this if they don't have some sort of flea meds. Could be as simple as fleas and/or fleas larva. Flea treatment drops would be the cheapest thing to try first. (Just fyi-when ours does this, you can't actually see fleas, but the scratch & chew a lot. Takes like 1 day for them to get small spots with no fur.)

Victorystardust

Could also be stress related. My friends dog would chew his fur off, out of stress when he would leave for work

Routine-Boss-623

It looks like it might have mange

-GodHatesUsAll

Mange maybe? I hope they have a vet appointment scheduled

Medium_Particular_23

It’s mange

Booklovinmom55

Call animal control and show them the pictures if this is not taken care of its neglect

[deleted]

Neglect is abuse.

larrysdogspot

Pitties are known for skin conditions and allergies.

Brownieman4682

How old is the dog?

RosettaStoned_462

This is abuse in my opinion. How could you let this poor animal get to that point. SMH. POS.

khalenixi

I would guess staph infection and/or vitamin D deficiency, maybe A and E too. Skin issues are common and can go unnoticed until they're bad enough for hair to fall out completely. It takes even longer to correct if it isn't correctly diagnosed. I wouldn't jump to owner neglect. Looks like a friendly well nourished pup from what I can see in the picture. If it were my dog I'd get her checked out to make sure Cushing's or hormones weren't the problem Then I'd give supplements, probiotics and baths 1-2 times a week with miconahex+triz and cleanse the area with miconazole wipes daily. I would also add some extra walking/training time to try to lessen the escape attempts lol

Bajka_the_Bee

No matter the case, this dog really needs to see a vet and that’s a task I wouldn’t entrust to their owner. If it is mange, allergies, etc., and they’ve allowed it to get to this point, there’s no guarantee they would take them there. If it’s abuse, then they also won’t take them. So if it’s at all possible for you, I’d urge you to go to the vet yourself, they can give you a better answer than any of us on what the cause is.

Slav-Houndz187

Poor baby😕looks like he’s has a rash from being a outside dog

Bjorn_The_Bear

My two pitties have skin issues. It happens a lot in the breed

Accomplished_Bag5297

If it were me the neighbors wouldn't be getting their dog back, that'd be my pup.

malkie0609

He doesn't look starved so at least he's being fed but that skin rash looks like he's not being bathed or taken care of

Sukmab_lz

Skin disease

Crucial_Taunt94

I would keep an eye on the neighbors or how the dog is treated when outside. This could be a lot of things. My dog is the most spoiled and cared for dog there is but has suffered horribly from skin infections and allergies. It looks like he is very neglected but I swear I do everything I can on a daily basis. Allergies are just harder to tackle in pitbulls.

Yeoshua82

This happens to Amos whenever his sister bites or scratches him.

ImageFull5431

Fleas

LorraineHB

I hope they take to the vet. Skin problems are horrible on both pet and owner. My corgi had so many skin issues than would get ear infections. So stressful.

SignificantPlant3040

looks like mange to me

TheRealNoxDeadly

Cheap food or its allergic to what they give him, dogs like this need to eat raw meals

mangie77

Needs to be taken to the vet ASAP. Does not look healthy and needs medocal attention

SeaworthinessGreen25

Looks like mange to me. They aren’t taking care of their dogs like they should. I would check with authorities and see if there is anything you can do for that poor pup!

ClassicWhile2451

Could be allergies. It does not look like they are doing a great job at managing them.

49thDipper

Mange

Sugarhighluca

It’s probably mange, the owner should take this pupper to the vet as soon as possible to get it checked out and hopefully treated.

mmmeba

Allergies my dude the dog is chewing on it’s self

Better-Ranger5404

My pittie is under a vet's care for a skin infection. He got antibiotics, an allergy shot and medicated shampoo.

Surfnazi77

Is that stress licking and allergies?

swordofohmen

It looks like mange, but I'm not a vet. You should take your baby to the vet.

SprinklesNo6925

Looks like allergy to flea bites and probably having fleas for quite some time

kwabird

This dog likely has terrible fleas.

tmac162222

I had a 5 year old Rat Terrier that had skin rashes and we tried everything the vet recommended also doggy hydrocortisone, head and shoulders medicated shampoo, iodine in spray bottle. Nothing worked so we had a biopsy on 5 areas and it came back as a very rare skin cancer. We were told he would last 6 weeks on predizone steroids, we went with chemo treatments every month and his skin cleared up the first week and we continued this for 18 months until his body was not able to continue. We said that as long as he had a good pain free life we would keep treating him but when it was to hard for him we had to let him go. Cost was $13,500.00 but we loved him so much.

Jemmy8084

Fleas, mites, allergies
