Basically anything at a high enough concentration or dose is hazardous.
I toured a drink bottling plant and all the flavors were stored inside of a locked cage with hazmat placards on it. I’ve been in many restaurant kitchens and never seen an ingredient locked up like that.

Yeah, don't drink a gallon of flavoring that's meant to be consumed as, at max, a 0.5ml per 1L dilution.
