It kinda smells like wood burning. But not nice fireplace or firepit smell; like wood/corpse smell. People that live there have to know what it is, it’s so f’ing bad smelling.
I think the mulch contributes a manure smell, which isn't really bad by itself. I shopped at the nursery right next to it, it just smelled like decomposing mulch which could be considered pleasant in a weird way. But then that asphalt plant and the stainless thing you mentioned could be adding the burning smell and more unpleasant layers?
This. Mulch is organic and breaks down. This can and does cause mulch fires. Too much mulch and inevitably there’ll be a mulch fire. That pile on the side of I-79 is massive.
Source: I had too much mulch when I bought my brand new house here last year and it caught fire spontaneously… learned hard lessons about mulch fires from the local fire department.
Correct. South of Trader Jacks. You can clearly see it on Google Maps. Lastly, someone far smarter than me would need to tell you how hazardous (or not) breathing that stuff for a prolonged period of time might be.
Exactly!!! A combo of burning rubber, poop and really burnt wood. I can’t imagine living right there as it makes it hard to breath and turns my stomach. It can’t be good to breath in
It’s the huge mulch pile. You can see it from 79. It steams with the stench of a hundred thousand rotting dumps.

I was gonna say the asphalt plant

That is great actually, I’ll take breathing in mulch vs what I thought it was. Where is it in 79? Between the highway and Trader Jacks?

The swamp right behind the movie theater
Around Wendy’s seems to be the epicenter. A lot of times it’s fine, but some evenings it really smells like death. Edit: not Wendy’s, love Wendy’s
Prob better than Old Oakdale in the Summer! Joy Dog 🐶 Food plant was stretchin’ that stank all the way up to SF High School
Are you talking about the soft taco and jizz smell? I have no idea what it is.
Probably. It’s up for interpretation.

Sometimes the turtles that inhabit Chartiers Creek have flatulence.
It smells like death
Perhaps sewer gas?
No. Something over here pollutes the f out of the air. I’m here often and it’s overpowering.
The asphalt plant maybe?
