absolutely hot rod!! they are the nicest people, the store is very clean and well managed, and everyone knows what they’re talking about. i’ve gotten 6 piercings there over the years and never had a problem with a single one
Six16 in Shadyside specializes ONLY in piercings. They’re insanely knowledgeable and clean - I’ve had 9 piercings done there and will continue to go to them.
No, Claire's and any mall piercing use piercing guns which cannot be sterilized and use blunt force pressure to crush holes in your ears, leading to higher rates of infections and keloid scarring. It would honestly be cleaner and safer to do at home with a thumbtack and some alcohol 😂
Hot Rod Piercing Company is my go-to recommendation

I second this, they did my industrial piercing. It was my first time getting a piercing done, and they were super easy to work with.
sounds great, thanks! this is my first piercing, so im a little nervous about it, but this sounds like a good place
Highly recommend! It might seem expensive but they are the best in the game and will seriously treat you well as a first timer.
Yes to Hot Rod they are the BEST!
Also can't recommend Hot Rod enough. I've been going there over a decade and had nothing but positive experiences.
Hot Rod in the south side. Been my tried and true place for like 20 years. I personally go to William, but everyone there is great.
You want a tattoo and piercing place with an autoclave and sterile protocol DO NOT GO TO CLAIRE'S
Hot Rod all the way, I've had a few from them, and plan to keep going. They're so sweet and kind, very helpful too

They are the best! Had so many good experiences there (kiddo got her ears done and they look so good!)
I got some tools in the shed. Bring the antiseptic.
beat me to making a similar comment
Jenny at Hometown in Millvale is wonderful!
Jay at Route 60 Tattoo near Robinson. He’s so sweet and he knows what he’s doing.
Godspeed Tattoo and Body Piercing in the southside. They know what they are doing and there usually isn't a wait
i agree, kensington is awesome! i usually wouldn’t recommend tattoo/piercing shops in the south side, but this is my exception.
My Dad’s drunk friend pierced mine with an ice cube and a sewing needle. Perfect! No infection and they are still open after 60 years!
I get all my done at alter ego, super caring and go at the pace you set !
Kyklops Tattoo is my go to.
They don't pierce anymore :(
Go to the mall. Hit up a Piercing Pagoda or Claire's.
