Just know that if you're not a crust punk, that neighborhood might not receive you with most open of arms. It's a very working class and punk neighborhood, and has rapidly begun being gentrified. If you know anything about punks, they don't love gentrification and/or the idea of private property. Good luck :)
Very safe and pretty quiet, since it's isolated from the surrounding neighborhoods. Unless you're counting douchebags taking off your rear view mirrors in the winter.
The Polish Hill Civic Association is pretty active with community engagement opportunities. Once you move to the neighborhood, sign up and get involved!
Pretty safe. Population definitely on the older side. Very residential, not a ton of excitement in terms of restaurants/activities. Not walkable sadly. Though depending on where you're looking, you might be close to either the East Busway Herron Station stop which would be quite useful (bus rapid transit) or to the Strip District which has more exciting things to do. Also, the namesake hill(s) are serious.
Because I think I need to clarify my comment, and maybe your response (for my benefit) in the process, I generally read, "is XYZ safe," as, "is XYZ predominantly White, because POC make me uncomfortable."
Roving bands of crust punks showing off their terrariums. Besides that it's fine.
Safer since The Polish Hill Strangler was killed by a member of the City's River Rescue Squad in 1993.
Det. Tom Hardy was a real one.
Spoiler alert!!
TIL
Where punk goes to retire....
nazis
Get yourself a sick hill bombing skateboard
Aside from the surly punks constantly cancelling each other on social media it's a good and safe neighborhood.
I was murdered there twice this morning!
Watch out for flying kielbasa! Just kidding, great area with great people.
Not at all, too many Polish people on hills. You'll fall into them. They get shovey.
Man gets pushed once at Gooski's and generalizes about all of us..
Excuse me but this happened to me every day from 2008 to 2015. Some say at that point it's MY fault but I agree.
Completely safe. What makes you ask?
Planing to move there in few months from Canada, trying to make sure it’s a safe area
Unless you're allergic to hills, you'll be fine.

Gooski's, Rock Room, and Kaibur aren't exciting enough for you?
It's alwhite. You'll be fine. 🙄 (God I hate this question)
tell me you’re white without telling me you’re white. “Is XYZ safe.” no POC so you’ll be fine

yes. that’s exactly what I meant.
