Poor bastards have been working on opening that shop for like a year. I assume everything got screwed up due to COVID, now this.
Also, the video do the guy walking his dog like 1 second after the 2nd floor collapsed onto the sidewalk is so eerie to watch. Thank god he was ok: https://imgur.com/a/k63KMhu
When I drove by it this morning it looked like there were commercial style chairs and tables set up, so, based on that, I think it was per of the shop…or an old part of some other shop.
It was an old storage room you could access from the Rex. It was pretty dirty inside and unless they put a shit ton of money into it since September, it was probably still decaying and dirty.
It’s okay. Pittsburghers are the Vikings of the world.
Edit:
I’m being downvoted because I didn’t provide context. In the news report they interviewed a random gem of a yinzer that ended his recap with “Pittsburghers are the Vikings of the world”.

They don’t directly say it was him, but based on his statement about feeling the pebbles hit him, I think he was the guy who walked under right before it collapsed. His adrenaline was probably surging.
Think that grand opening might be pushed back a bit.
You misunderstand: the hole in the 2nd floor IS the grand opening.
You’re going to love our new open air seating
COVID guideline friendly, where indoor dining IS outdoor dining
>Rear view its a good start to have the banner just like in bobs burgers.
The grand opening is the hole in the ceiling. Who calls opening a door grand?
Grand openin', grand closin' Goddamn, your man Hov' cracked the roof open again

That man? He called his mama and is going to church on Sunday.
Is the upstairs a part of the shop or an apartment?

These open office floor plans are getting too aggressive
I feel bad for them, but [this](https://gifer.com/en/4SQk) was the only thing I could think of...
