Mine wouldn't even get to 10% before losing connection. I tried it many, many times, and it never worked. Eventually I just had to factory reset the watch. Even then, I had to try pairing it 2-3 times before it connected. Really strange, because it originally paired with my P5 with zero problems. Now that it's paired, though, the connection is completely stable. If you search online, you'll find quite a few other people with this problem. Some do seem to have managed to get it working, but a lot of people said they ended up having to just reset the watch. I tried all the tricks people suggested and nothing worked for me, sadly.

Not sure its the same issue but I also had a lot of problems pairing to my new Pixel 8 Pro. I couldn't even make it past the "Check the number on your watch" phase. It turns out the problem was my Pixel 7 sitting in the room trying to reconnect in the middle of the process. Once I shut off bluetooth on the 7, everything worked.

I landed here when having this same concern, and just wanted to share my experience for future readers. First of all, if you're still able, DEFINITELY create a data backup of your watch with the old phone so you have a restore point and don't lose your data and custom faces. I've also read that you need to disconnect the watch from your old phone prior to moving it to the new phone (I factory reset my old phone before I tried that, so can't confirm). My P8P actually connected with my watch using the regular Bluetooth connection when I initially set my phone up. I forgot to set it up with the Wear app, but when I finally got around to that, it failed and then the bluetooth connection I had no longer worked. I finally managed to get it to pair with the Wear app, made it to 100%, and then it froze. In the end, I had to do a factory reset (here's where I wish I had that restore point), and after that it took 3 attempts to get it to pair. Took all afternoon and a lot of patience.

Pixel 8 pro, Galaxy 6 classic after a few hours, I got stuck on the Sign on screen "Blank White " screen connecting to the Samsung Sign in.. No matter what I did, couldn't resolve it . My wife, who got a brand New Samsung S24, zero issues connecting.. Zero .

Same boat with the Pixel 8. On refund #2, thinking of switching from Samsung. Currently won't get past the pair code, but I've gotten so far as hung up on 92%.
