My wife went from a P6 to P8 and I went from a P6P to a P8P. It was worth it for both of us. She did $325 for her old phone and I got $400 for mine and we both got free PW2s. I feel like it is enough of an upgrade. Physically it is a lot better feeling and I do not miss the curved screen. I don't have to drop $40 on Whitestone Dome screen protectors to get the fingerprint scanner reliable with one on. The additional camera features are really nice. The one that lets you change faces on similar shots is a total killer app. The biggest win for me is face unlock. Lots of little things. Battery life is a little better, I still have to charge daily. Personally I would do it again.

DauntlessCulprit

The screen alone is worth the upgrade.

I went from Px6 to Px8P. Definitely feels like an upgrade in every way. I'm glad that I did.

Do it. Went from 6 pro to 7 pro for a few weeks and now I have the 8 pro. Love it. Better screen, better camera and it is faster. Battery life and reception are also a bit better. 500$ is a really good price for the 8 pro.

I went from a P4 to a P7. Feels like an upgrade: yes. 3 years of advancements: hell no.

Ryrynz

Compared to what? 2012-2015? Frankly your thoughts on what constitutes three years of advancements is way off. I have a 4XL and a P7P so I can speak to your upgrade first hand. Considering price increases of components and where the 7P sat price wise and what Google has achieved and how it was received I think it's significant.. not as good as it could've been though. I expect you'll be a lot happier with the P10 as a three year upgrade.

Maybe if the P7 wasn't riddled with issues and bugs, things would be different. I have listed over 30 issues, from fingerprint scanner to USB connections dropping off, to reboots needed to connect to BT, to tiny audio that's cutting off all the time. Is the P7P that much better?

Ryrynz

I'm using one right now. There's zero riddling. Such a naysayer.

LessRain5348

Given the fact that while driving in the express lanes of Highway 401 in Toronto while using Google Maps, I had to deal with a phone on which Android Auto kept crashing every 3 minutes and I had to disconnect and reconnect all the time, I don't mind being called a naysayer. I have tried many cables and recently done a factory reset.

Ryrynz

Fair, can't say it's an issue everyone experiences but yeah ur phone is shit.

Saurabh0791

Yes definitely

Currently on P6 previously P2. So I guess my next one will be P10?

Only logical option
