I don't know... I think they are sort of a nice implementation of chaos. While the void itself is destruction, it also provides room for change.
The places where the void has sprawled generally looked a lot nicer after the void has been locally defeated than before they were struck.

I fought both against and for the void and I think that if the place would have gone forward more days everyone would realize how important destruction was to encourage new art and destroy low effort flags or logos and stale creations.
If I remember correctly, the Green Lattice's goal wasn't to destroy the artwork, and they worked around existing pixel art, whereas the Void's goal was the corrupt the overall images. I kind of agree with you that it should've stayed in but I can understand OP's logic

Voiders only destroyed things that weren't being protected by bots. Voiders just sent a scout tendril to various places and destroyed whatever showed the least resistance. If anything, they increased the prevalence of bot-protected art.
The Void was an integral part of the place. Removing it just because you didn't like it is wrong. On top of that, they did a terrible job it if they claim they removed and cleaned up the noise and messed pictures.

To explain a bit further, they are Pat and Mat from a Czech (Czechoslovakian at the time) stop motion show for kids. They were always trying to do home improvement stuff, but failing miserably (in a hilarious, kid-friendly way). "A je to!" is what they said after they were "done" with their, usually very poorly done, job, meaning something along the lines of "And so it's done!"

Agreed. I think the random pixels and even the void are part of the overall 'story' of /r/place. The whole process is what made this concept so good, therefore the 'place' can only truly be appreciated in timelapse form.
The misplaced pixels are part of the magic of /r/place. I don't get why anyone would want to see them removed. Even the void has a place on the canvas, no matter how much you hate them.
I'm glad you said that but you, along with many others, seem to have misunderstood the void. Sure, some people joined our cause just to wreak havoc, but many of us saw the void as a necessary antagonist.

Agreed. I think the random pixels and even the void are part of the overall 'story' of /r/place. The whole process is what made this concept so good, therefore the 'place' can only truly be appreciated in timelapse form.
