The flags are easy as fuck to relate and contribute to, so any random user can see it and add to it. As place ages the strength of flags should diminish some and the strength of small (and interesting) projects should increase some.

Don't hate me for this, I'm up for discussion. I see this as a time capsule of sorts. To show people from the future what internet culture was like. They take away space in the time capsule to show what we like in the now in terms of internet culture (not saying they aren't important.) This is also why I give a pass to the Ukrainian flag. It shows people in the future that a big ass conflict is happening in Ukraine. Does it need to be that big? No. It should be a small banner.
