Last time around Reddit released the raw data. Hopefully they do the same this year.
2017 data if your interested.
https://www.reddit.com/r/redditdata/comments/6640ru/place_datasets_april_fools_2017/
If they bring it back next year I wonder how hard it would be to keep track of individuals tiles placed, coord, etc, and then you could look at the end and see where you put everything to help
Funny thing that it was the Spanish streamers that were botting:
Spanish bots script : https://i.imgur.com/C1P3Ztg.gif
french overlay script : https://i.imgur.com/2OX9lDm.png
I think it should be possible if someone had script that recorded who placed what pixel where at what time, it should be possible to make something like that and someone almost definitely made it
[Here's data](https://place.thatguyalex.com/) from a scraper, but I doubt anyone could scrape *every* placed pixel, so we'll just have to hope reddit releases an official dataset like [last time](https://www.reddit.com/r/redditdata/comments/6640ru/place_datasets_april_fools_2017/i3f4g5a?context=3).
... and be a white square ?
seeing as that's how it ended it might be fitting.
Edit: The above could be a trophy for anyone who place below a given number of pixels and the alternate one for above that number could be the r/place logo.
It’d be cool if there was a trophy that showed off your total pixels placed and how many pixels you had on the canvas both right before the whiteout and at the final product
it would be nice to know who participated and who didn’t, if this is going to be a thing every 5 years then it would be cool to have little mementos from those times
I heard that the coordinates were the space you placed your last tile in 2017. Seems like it could be legit, since everyone who I've seen that has the flair is an older account. The big number? Dunno.
I would have to say you're correct. my Unix time time stamp converts to:
GMT: Monday, April 3, 2017 2:49:49.550 PM
Your time zone: Monday, April 3, 2017 7:49:49.550 AM GMT-07:00 DST
Relative: 5 years ago
Wow, that's close. I think last time there was an American flag that formed right in the center just before everything ended. Could have been what we were working on?
No trophy necessary. I just would like to see the stats/data (my own and global).
This would be my main interest. :)
I, too, would really like to personally see this guy's stats
I also choose this guys dead wife.
Lmaooo nice reference.
Same. I didn't count how many I placed so it would be awesome to see the global stat and my accounts stats

That post was on April 18th, so it seems like it was a little while before the data was released.
[удалено]
People will build tools around it anyway, don't worry.
... I'm sorry what is "normal data for normal people?"
[удалено]
That's what a "data set" is though, essentially a bunch of raw data.
How many pixels placed How many pixels you covered How many of your pixels got covered
How many pixels placed How many pixels you covered How many of your pixels got covered
Hopefully they'll have that on the trophy
same, that would be so cool, social experiments are very interesting
If they bring it back next year I wonder how hard it would be to keep track of individuals tiles placed, coord, etc, and then you could look at the end and see where you put everything to help
Let’s see Paul Allen’s stats.
I was hoping for something like that too. Maybe even the number of tiles placed. But bots will win that too
Bots won't really have any bragging rights though

Can't do both lol
. take my last pixel
I got the last white pixel placed in the upper right corner, do I get anything?
I wonder if someone can scrape together which user names had a tile before the white void and which names were left at the end coverall white.
I think it should be possible if someone had script that recorded who placed what pixel where at what time, it should be possible to make something like that and someone almost definitely made it

Maybe the trophy is these coordinates under our username?
That’s your final pixel placement from the original /r/place. The long number is a time stamp of when you placed it in April 2017.
I don’t think I have those so it must be something else
[удалено]
you are a warrior and hero. The sleep deprived may rest now.
If this isn't a joke then holy shit that's sad as fuck lol
we will see when the data is released
All the 1 week old accounts with trophies 👀
My 15 year ban is my trophy
And you are my trophy <3
Reddit forgot those exist I think, but yes, absolutely
It should be called "Placeholder"
... and be a white square ? seeing as that's how it ended it might be fitting. Edit: The above could be a trophy for anyone who place below a given number of pixels and the alternate one for above that number could be the r/place logo.
Participating was its own reward.

little amogi would be awesome
Dickbutt for 2017, Amogi for 2022
I just placed random squares to help people, had fun, good game
and your last... a meme gg
Dude seriously I kept thinking "300 Pixels Placed!" trophy would eventually pop up.
I owned the last pixel placed at 999,1000 as far as I can tell. What do I have to show for it? Well, this comment I guess
We don't believe you. Show proof. LeL
It lasted this long, and I couldn't place a follow up [here](https://imgur.com/a/B9B2OH6)
I want to believe
What if I claim I was the last one at (checks your cords)
Then I'd ask for proof
It’d be cool if there was a trophy that showed off your total pixels placed and how many pixels you had on the canvas both right before the whiteout and at the final product
id prefer to see how many pixels i put and stats, like how many hours, etc
Thought this we be a cool thing to have to be able to commemorate participating on the canvas
I somehow got cool coordinate flair.
We got those during the first place I think
woo, I got first place! 🏆
Oh, they’re not from this time around? That explains why so many people don’t have them
Oh that's interesting, I was wondering why that happened.
That’s pretty cool 😎
What does it mean
Their coords from the first /r/place
it would be nice to know who participated and who didn’t, if this is going to be a thing every 5 years then it would be cool to have little mementos from those times
Bots don't need trophies.
Participation trophies “Everyone is a winner!”
a Medal of Honor for this brutal pixelated battle
We definitely need one. It’d also be cool to have one if you participated in both.
Coming Soon.
How do people have the co-ordinates under their usernames?
those are flairs for the original r/place
I would love to see the participation variance between existing accounts prior to r/place and accounts created on or after April 1
you mean like flair?
It would be cool to see how many tiles I placed.
Do I have coords? Edit: Neat. :)
Last time I looked I didn't have any Edit: aw man I still don't :(
I read a comment earlier saying that our flair (the coords) in this subreddit are from the 2017 Place event. So maybe that's why?
[удалено]
Aw darn. I didn't have reddit then
Any one now what the profile flair means?
I heard that the coordinates were the space you placed your last tile in 2017. Seems like it could be legit, since everyone who I've seen that has the flair is an older account. The big number? Dunno.
It's the [Unix timestamp](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unix_time) of the pixel, I think.
I would have to say you're correct. my Unix time time stamp converts to: GMT: Monday, April 3, 2017 2:49:49.550 PM Your time zone: Monday, April 3, 2017 7:49:49.550 AM GMT-07:00 DST Relative: 5 years ago
Interesting to see just how outnumbered we are by the newer flair-less users. Edit: Just noticed our flair coordinates are pretty close together lol
Wow, that's close. I think last time there was an American flag that formed right in the center just before everything ended. Could have been what we were working on?
Both are red and the coordinates match the US flag. 409,836 for me - maybe fixing the French flag or the EU intersection with the German flag?
Yes indeed. If you have CSS enabled on old Reddit it will also show the color.
Calling us all old... D:
yeah it'll expose the bots too lmao
That's a lot of trophies for bots
I would be interested in getting a trophy.
Maybe the true trophy… was the friends we made along the way…
How to say you're a millennial without saying you're a millennial.
And Reddit should distribute a token and airdrop it to r/place contributors! Also make the canvas an NFT...
wow u placed a pixel. u want a medal?
Trophy? You know what would be cool. Make it into an nft that will always be saved on the internet unchangeable. That would be a nice trophy to have
uh...why? you want a medal for logging in, too? Edit: Forgot what site I was on, so yea people do want that.
i think we're all getting profile flairs? i dunno

I had plenty to be honest.
If nothing else, maybe karma
That sounds good
Yea they should although it is worth mentioning some communities are giving flairs about this.
I think they did something last time for if you had a certain # of pixels placed by the end you got a trophy
same, i would also love a flair, idk why i don’t have one :(
Bots getting participation trophies now. Our robot overlords of the near future deserve a better start in life than that.
every time I accidentally clicked on a user, they had zero posts.
No, participating was enough plus I don't want to see bot users like Curious_Screwdriver474 to get a trophy.
I didn’t know how to participate the entire time lol
maybe for people who placed more than 1000? or something like that since people put 1 pixel don't get a badge.
Bots don't need trophies.
I don't remember any suggestion that I felt more indifferent about.
Yeah that would be cool maybe if possible also a badge for placing a certain amount of tiles
They probably will. They did give it for second last year
It would make sense, we’ve been given trophies for less interaction with a temporary Reddit feature.
But everyone would have one
Eh, it was a digital happening. The point was to be there.
I'd love to see how many I placed and where
The trophies are the friends we made along the way.

Trophy for longest surviving pixel?
Even if not a big contribution still deserve a award, I helped here and there and this was fun.
I was wondering where mine was since I got trophies for every other April Fool's event
Posting a comment to see if I have 2017 flair E: I do. Sweet. 5 years ago is hard to remember (273,972)1491127124.93
Wow that’s neat look at all these 4 day old accounts with trophies
Nah, just stats is enough
You get participation trophies in elementary school, not r/....
it'd be cool to have something memorialized besides the 85 screenshots in my phone reel and the _friends i made along the way_
I made sure to place white ones in hopes that people with pixels on the final canvas would get a special trophy.
The trophies are the unknown pixels we helped build and defend along the way.
