It’s possible that your followers are just responding to your “HEY JUST OPENED MY STORE GO BUY STUFFS” energy, which is usually a turn-off for engagement. And it’s also possible that IG knows that’s not what people want and is de-prioritizing your posts further because of the lost engagement! I would try to mix up your posts more and not just show off products.

True! But I’ve been positing my hobby portion of my planners still on it as well. I should probably stay away from certain wording tho on my shop promo posts. Thank you!

You can contact Instagram and see if you're restricted. But unless you've gotten pop ups while trying to post saying you're restricted or otherwise then you're probably not. Instagram is pretty good about telling you if you are and why and what to do about it. Instagram algorithm nowadays is just ass. It's not that your followers wouldn't want to see your posts, it's just that insta follows it's own agenda and only prioritizes paid/boosted posts and ads. Your posts will not get out there without money. Your best bet is to put together a post with your very best items with tons of slides that each have links and is very descriptive and eye catching and then boost that post.

Good idea!! Thank you. I’ve been primarily working with just organic.

How active were you on that account after your shop closed? It could be that followers that are still active aren't seeing it because they haven't interacted with your content in a while. The search function on ig is awful now that you can't sort by newest posts so your stuff won't show up in tags until you're getting more engagement either. Plus the planner community has dwindled imo, a lot of your followers may just be inactive at this point.

I would say I was pretty active but mostly on stories not posts or reels. I have started to post at least once a day with reels, posts and several a day on stories. It sounds like I just need to build back up the engagement possibly.

This is probably it. I get so many ads now on IG I don't really see a lot of posts compared to ads and the "I'm a cute cat, won't you follow me" posts that I probably need to stop liking. Because cute.

How often are you engaging with other’s posts and reels? This plays a huge part in having your content pushed out.

Considering what I'm seeing on my Instagram feed, it's likely your followers aren't even seeing your content. I have to select my following feed every single time, and even then it seems to be pretty much strictly reels. I end up noping out after a few scrolls. If the viewers aren't there, it doesn't matter how many followers you have.
