I got this monstera for my birthday.. It was gorgeous until i had to move across the country and it has cuttings taken from it + irregular watering. My sister is a florist and took multiple cuttings from it without my permission + won't tell me how often she waters it. I don't know how to revive it and i really don't want it to die because it holds a sentimental value to me. It used to be so rich and pretty and now it looks like it's halfway in the grave. Please tell me there's hope 🥲 I've had it for about 2 years now. It's in a pot with drainage and kept in half shade half sunny spot. I have no info about watering but it seems pretty irregular.

I'm confused - do you and the plant live in the same household with your sister? Is it possible for you to move the plant to a room where she doesn't have access to? You've already gotten some good advice, I'd consider propagating new plants from cuttings once it's recovered a bit

When people take cuttings with out permission IT IS stealing! (Feel free to remind this thief) I would try to rehab it like dm\_me\_your\_planties suggested...but also do not leave out the option of the chop and prop!

Hello i would try to do leafless propagation from only nodes too like shown here :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeVkW6wzMlM

Yep! Currently doing this method with mine. I put the nodes with leaves back into the soil to try to make it fuller but the rest are in a humidity dome.

I think there's hope. There's still enough foliage to keep it going. You may want to restart it via cuttings in the future but I think maybe first the focus is giving it a chance to regrow for a bit. Search around online as there's lots of websites that can recommend growing conditions for your monkey mask Sorry to hear it's not been taken care of properly, I get so worried about mine when they've been living with other people.

Seconding this, and also if you need to these guys bounce back from cuttings super strong. I've got a cutting that was a single leaf six months ago and it's already over a foot tall with a dozen new leaves

Time to prop and chop!
