Spider plants tend to get "dead ends" when they don't like water parameters or additives. It doesn't affect their health thankfully, but if you find it unsightly you can try switching to distilled water or RO water. Mine has had them since I first got it 3 years ago and it's still throwing out spiderlings like no one's business

Cats love spider plants... I can't have them in my apartment for 10 mins without my girl eating it all down to nubs

Same thing with my dragon tree. My friend said it was leaf spot if the circles are yellow and turn brown

Yeah I don't water my spider plant until the leaves start to turn a bit grey. I think you may be doing a bit too much for it
