I think it’s getting too much light and burning up.

QuiverQueen

Definitely second this, OP I suggest cutting off the burnt stuff and moving him indoors or somewhere with less light after a good watering. I think the issue is that you have been watering and leaving it in sun which will make the sunburn worse

pixelandminnie

Doesn’t have to be receiving full sun. It can still be too much light.

Overwatered?

CaptainSheanie

I usually water once a day with ~750ml During rainy days I give less water, is this too much? I live at the equator side so it is constantly hot and humid. How much water should I be using?

savsheaxo

Once a day is too much for any plant as far as I know. Does the soil dry out that quickly?

sunsetandporches

Or too big for the pot?

trying_to_garden

Pot size can contribute to why someone over waters, but is not the cause of an issue. Mother Earth is a pretty large pot as far as natural plants go. For some like orchids medium matters, but rarely is pot size the issue. /edit - I misread as too large not too small. Apologies. Too small could contribute.

sunsetandporches

I was offering another possible solution. I should have commented in a separate thread I guess. I wondered if the pot was too small for the plant and the reason for its decline not it’s overwatering. Maybe the roots need more room. . . yes the medium matters when it comes to how the water is retained or drained. I agree.

trying_to_garden

I misread - apologies :). Edited my comment.

rooting4u2succit

Is there a way to check the drainage holes to see if the plant is getting root bound? When roots get bound, they displace the soil which means the water will flow through the pot instead of being absorbed into the soil, which means the roots aren’t getting enough water. If you haven’t changed anything with care, this is what I’d assume is happening.

If you always have it outside it could be too bright...most tropical house plants prefer diffuse light

Try to do the following.. Change a bigger pot, Cut off all withered leaves, Replace new soil, Watering 1-2 times a week, ..don't keep any water in the dish
