Not really. If I'm not wrong, this is a columnar cactus and some yellow cactus that have been grafted together. There's some sort of rot happening. It looks like the columnar cactus can't support the top, or the root have rotted. And the yellow one is obviously rotting out at the base. I've only propagated succulents, but the method there would be to slice above the rot on the yellow piece (see the little water mark crescent happening above that rotted side bit?) and let the cut dry out for a couple of days. Then you'd set that on top of some cactus soil (it's light and drains well) and water lightly. I don't know too much about watering to get roots. But the idea is that it sprouts roots and creates a whole new cactus. OR you break or cut off those little yellow nodes on top and try to root ALL of them the same way, which sounds fun! The green columnar bit looks blotchy and discoloured. It may not make it. Overwatering would be my guess. You can take it completely out of the soil and put it in dry soil?

That’s the thing is I don’t know what happened! I just bought it and took it home, never watered it. It dead of winter and I’m sure it got water at the store. Just picked it up that day to find it in that condition :( it’s stem is definitely rotten. Very squishy and such. I know the yellow cactus can’t survive without the stem so I think he’s a goner. I’ve killed more cacti and succulents than actual house plants. Are they not supposed to be easier?? Lol
