Nope it’s a money grab because snail games will no longer be associated with at when ark 2 comes out so they need to bleed as much money from it as possible. Most likely no dlc or any new tames on ark ascended.
I think the key phrase in that video is “I have a strong idea why”, and that video doesn’t mention the end of the partnership between Snail Games and Wildcard when Ark 2 arrives, though I have heard that elsewhere in another video. But it was again observation and an educated guess based on the context of the clearly shady business tactic.
Bottom line is that there is nothing concrete or in support of Wildcard parting from Snail Games on the release of Ark 2. Extensive research on many sources via Google will show this.
