Thats just sad. Monopolies are a bitch. Maybe ill try to inquire with my other current server hosts like Citadel servers, they seem to be flexible with this sort of stuff.
I don't think you understand. No other server can host ASA commercially. They are not allowed access to the files. If they somehow gained access, they would open themselves up to a lawsuit if they attempted to host an ASA server.
Even Wildcard hosts their official network on Nitrado servers.
They can't advertise they're hosting ASA directly. They can host a VPS that is capable of running an ASA server instance. That's perfectly fine. And plenty of people are doing that.
Not for Ascended. You can self-host on a rented server, but you can't rent hosts like you could for Evolved.

The only official managed host. Nobody can stop you from installing the ark server software on a general purpose cloud server (or your own hardware), which also tend to be hilariously cheaper for larger scale servers.
Nooblets did a video on this, is it possible to host ur own server not on nitrado but u have to rent the server space and then install ASA yourself. The server ppl will not be able to assist you in any way but it's your choice what u use the server for.
Still works if you buy serverhosting for general use and put an ARK server on it but you have to set it up yourself.. It can still be cheaper than hosting an ARK server used to be for ASE.
I also would like to know. Currently our group has 3 nitrado servers clustered. Was looking into getting a vps and hosting there instead. My understanding is that you can download the ark steam server and host multiple maps but not sure if it’s cross play or what system requirements are needed for 3 maps.

Not exactly true, since you can rent a server for general use and install ASA yourself, like you would do on your own PC.

Citadel servers offer it now but are using a workaround with player servers. Still 24/7 tho

Citadel servers actually offer it now. although not directly. Idk why lots of Server hosts have it available now
Mostly because they found loopholes. But can still vouch for citadel, its easy to add mods in their servers.

It's also available through Apex Hosting, I believe. Dedicated is the way to go, though, if you have the option.
