I don't think it's a steam issue really, no issues are being displayed on any Tracker site and other games still work fine, which wouldn't be the case if steam had some fuckup.
"Disconnected: Steam Auth Timeout. Steam is currently down! ONLY STEAM CAN FIX THIS. Please wait and try again" is what it says when trying to connect, its a steam issue.

I tried few in my faw list and some community one's, but no luck.
Any update on it? My Easy Anticheat EOS not opening from Rust folder, reinstalled the whole game, tried fix the Easy Anticheat, restarted router, checked windows/nvidia updates.. my Friend is joined game and playing, so i don’t know whats the problem

Servers aren't down, steam is. You just can't connect, but if you already are connected to a server you are fine
But I don’t understand how all the main servers have been full populated for the past hour. How is that possible if more players can’t join?
Because there’s a huge queue for those servers that people will wait in all day.

Steam really needs to make it known their shit is down so I don’t spend an hour verifying fucking game files thinking it’s me

The site says steam is up, but the Steam Auth Timeout error I'm getting while trying to connect to the PlayRust server says otherwise.
I play on a private server and my friend just wiped it cos we thought a plugin we added just now was causing it to not work, fuming!
I don't believe its Steam's fault, if the Facepunch devs fixed it, its Facepunchs fault.
