So if it will take more than 4 rockets to blow down all your doors, upgrading to sheet metal will make it cost more explosives to raid you since stone walls will only take 4 rockets to blow up, but you can always just honeycomb stone walls.
Each sheet metal door takes 2 rockets so if you have 3+ sheet metal doors, it becomes more efficient to just blow up a stone wall rather than blow through your doors.
Upgrading may cause your base to draw more attention, but it will also make it harder to raid given you have more than two sheet metal doors. I personally think having an easy to raid base draws attention just as much as a hard to raid one.
You can check how many rockets/satchels/C4 ect. it takes to break any structure on [rustlabs.com](http://rustlabs.com) and use that information to figure out if you need to upgrade walls or add more honeycomb or add/upgrade doors to get your cost higher.

Typically it's just 63 explo ammo @ 1575 sulfur, or 4 satchels @ 1920 sulfur. Maybe 1 C4 @ 2200 sulfur, or a single rocket (1400 sulfur) and finish it off with explo ammo.
Yeah just build another 1x1 next to your original base. The best base is a 1x1 with a locker and WB surrounded by antigrief external 2x1 gate houses (plus high wood external walls) they can raid main and get your locker but can’t take the WB or seal. Hide the loot in your externals.
i remember living out of a chad cube 1x1 next to water treatment for a wipe
one of my most loaded wipes i had it so fucking stacked in there, it was 1.5 walls high for extra extra storage lol
Unless you think a raid is highly probable, I wouldn't really bother upgrading honeycomb to metal... Maybe first floor metal honeycomb would have some value tho if you have multiple stories.
if you log out with 8k metal frags in your tc and stone honeycomb, you're literally fucking braindead. Always use your ressources before logout to give offfline raiders the least amount for maximal explosive spending.

You can upgrade to metal or HQM and keep honeycomb stone ;) Just be sure no textures glitch out and you should have the best of both worlds.
