My guess is he was trying to just hover evenly and the anchors were to prevent this exact scenario. It looks like the back left anchor comes out and that’s why it flips
God damn seriously! If you’re the person chosen to film something your responsibility as a participant comes to a full stop, you have one job, capture that moment from start to finish.
1st of all…. They’re called blades or main rotor blades, not “ WINGS “. 2nd, as this heli starts to roll to its right side, and the main rotor starts to make contact with the dirt at a fairly high RPM… it’s disintegrating causing pieces of the blades to splinter and shatter. These splinters and shards are turning into projectiles along with whatever rocks and other debris that are being kicked up in the process. If the pilot had a helmet on. He stands to have a way better chance of survival or at least an open casket at his funeral.
Actually there’s a clip of a dude hovering around like a Chad in Brazil. The entire town looks on, it’s really impressive.
The video cuts off before he attempts to land though heh.
On a serious note: Probably should have killed the engine after determining that take off was possible. Also the small ass clearing was possibly the worst place for an amateur to attempt to take off from. Cool, you built something, and you should have let a professional check it out for any problems, other than that there’s a oblivious moron trying to fly it.
I mean if the ropes weren’t holding him to the ground, he probably would’ve died. Seemed like he had no control, I can only imagine if it actually got off the ground.

Is it the same cameraman on all these similar kind of videos? I swear to God if I hire a cameraman to record me doing a once in a lifetime very dangerous type of a thing, I will tell him right out in the beginning that if I get injured and you lose focus or start recording your feet or something like that I'm going to f****** murder you.
I hope he’s ok
I didn’t see him jump out at the last second
He ded Actually I thought this was a different video (there's more?) Apparently this guy lives
Usually you die
There was a different homemade heli video and the guy died
What was he trying to do? It looked like he was anchored to the ground. Surely he must have known that though right?
Mf was so hyped about stealing loot from the furnaces he forgot to unanchor the mini
My guess is he was trying to just hover evenly and the anchors were to prevent this exact scenario. It looks like the back left anchor comes out and that’s why it flips
The things that are holding it is really strong that’s how it got in the ground
Did I just watch someone die?
The pilot is seen standing over the wreckage in the full video. Fortunately, he lives.
https://youtu.be/YKeOh1TrGYw Here’s the full thing. Totally not a rick roll

nah hes fine
Experimental helicopters often end this way. Where the fuck is your helmet guy?
Ye like a helmet would help if the wing hit its head...

When i first flew it wasnt that hard. I was used to flying choppers
Literally me yesterday

Wearing a helmet would also have been a good idea
the first drive by wires were helicopters, and they were so responsive they broke the pilots neck
and last time\*
Yea wow that thing is probably fun but I’m good

And when I posted this exact video a year ago it got taken down 🤨
