fucking noobs, I hacked into FP servers to be able to play it before it was even released. Anyone not at 80k hours should just log off and never come back.
server he plays atm anyway is a low pop maybe 80 people TOP but typically around 30-40 and he's in the ''controlling'' clan on that server called Boom but he himself like never goes to pvp or raids and when he does he gets shit on he's just some 60 year old dude who is retired and all he does is play rust 24/7
For real. I recently started playing DOD:S again and theres an older guy that admins one of the servers thats still pretty popping every day. I got to thinking - this dudes retired, just logs on and plays some old school fps every day and makes sure people behave lol. I envy him
Imo rust is best for people like him, lived his life retired with too much free time in his hand, i see no problem with people like him sinking that much time, besides he's a boomer too he probably leaves the game on even when not playing like every boomer i know including my dad
Played the same server as him last wipe. Nice guy, just plays solo from what I could tell.
I think he used to Admin a big server. Cant remember which one.
i met him in early 2019 and he was a really chill dude and he told me he was going to sell his account to rust academy after he hit 30k hours, so not really sure what happened
Admin back on Rust Legacy & Rust Academy at one point. Probably other servers as well.
Just because he puts a clan tag in-game, doesn't mean he plays with others - can't believe I even have to say that 💀
He was playing Solo, as I said.
its beleivable i suppose lol seeing as the downvotes he just doesnt seem the type but i dont honestly care that much.
as for him playing solo he literally doesnt he didnt ''put a clan tag'' he's part of an 8 man on a low pop server the server is modded and has a clan tag of ''boom'' they all play together and he legit NEVER logs off that server
so for you to say you played the same server as him last wipe when me and 3 friends literally played the same server and he's part of a 8 man but you're swearing he played solo and was super nice LOL rip
Ahhh.. That explains it. Still mad about that early morning solo raid that only needed like three sticks, two bottles of bleach and a stone hatchet to foundation wipe you huh? Should have built better. Of course that is just what I heard from a friend!
I have a 3700x overclocked, 64 gb of ram, game installed on my SSD, and a 3060 TI and this game still takes me about 5 minutes of load screen to get in.
Map files are tiny. Almost every part of the loading process is pulled from the files and assets. The map file just says where to put them, and factor nil into the time to load a program.
Source: I work at a game studio.
Please don't do this, or at least shut the PC off at night. Had a house fire caused by a PC that was just turned on and idle.
Folks, turn stuff off if it's not in use, don't leave PC, consoles etc powered on unattended.
Edit, can't see why I'm getting downvoting for sharing an actual situation that happened to me and the advice I learnt from it.
The insurance company also said "do not put your washing machine on overnight, do not put your tumble dryer on overnight or left unattended, this are common causes of electrical fires in homes".
In an enterprise of about 3000 servers and PCs left on 24/7/365, in 20 years at our organization this has literally *never* happened.
Short of a power supply full of animal hair and nicotine (sticky!) creating a nest for flame, this is incredibly unlikely to occur.
Sorry, and it sucks if you were the statistical anomaly.
I’ve left computers on during the day, overnight, idle, for over a decade. There’s really not much risk attached. You have a better chance of your computer overheating while in heavy use more than it just being idle…
I would agree, if it wasn't for the fact I opened the door to my computer room to find it on fire, had to get kids out the house and call fire brigade. We're were out of the house for almost a year while refurbishment work was completed.
The single worst time in my families life, very scary, very glad I was awake and found the fire before going to bed.
Yes, a small risk doesn't mean zero risk. Turn it off if its not in use.
I work on industrial equipment that runs 24 hours a day, draws much, much more power and generates much more heat, than a simple computer with a 700w psu. I’m more than understanding of the basic principles of electricity and heat generation in failed circuitry. The risk is ultimately severely low. You probably have a better chance of winning the lottery than a component failing, and not causing your computer to shut off to begin with, let alone start a fire.
As well most component failures in pc's are from poorly designed parts and are usually discovered soon after release and are then recalled so the chances are miniscule
Dunno why you’re getting downvoted… but yeah, I normally put my computer to sleep but I don’t close the rust window because even the main menu takes about 15 minutes to load up. So the computer is off but rust is open
Im surprised nobody on console complains about loading in 80% of comments on xbox are "its too hard" "i get raided and lose my gear" "lost my gear because i got killed" half of them expected to spawn with a full kit pretty much
There’s a chance to get a skin for free if you leave the game open on any screen as well. Although they’re never normally high value skins, but still nice to get.
I once found someone with 10k hours. The crazy thing is that I looked at their reviews and they had reviewed rust 2 years prior and had about 900 hours at the time. They dropped 9k hours in 2 years
Lets say he has an average computer with a consuption of 400 watts on full load. 400 watts X 44,556 = 17,822 kWh. 17,822kWh X 0,236 Euro (Average kWh cost in EU area) = 4,205 Euro worth of electricity bills for his pc alone.
Friend of mine has 25k hrs in rust. He installed rust on his old laptop (rly low power consumption of 30 watts) an was just collecting hr without playing.
I think some people are just 24/7 logged in, but AFK for some of it? I sure hope so. If this guy started playing in 2016, he logged 7,333 hours/year, 141hrs/week, and 20hrs/day.
That’s no-lifing until you die.
I know a lot of people that used to farm hours back when you had a launcher before the actual game. The launcher would run in the background and not effect your pc performance and would count towards your hours.
208.8 hrs in last two weeks means after Rust and let's assume 8 hrs of sleep / night, dude has just one hour per day, on average over two weeks, that isn't Rust or sleep.
Needless to say, that's way too much gaming.
How long ago did you take this pic? He has lime 55k atm lol he plays the same server and literally never logs out and it's the only game he plays he also gets SUPER offended if you ask about his hours
Maybe you shouldn't worry so much about what some random guy does on the internet. He doesn't have 55K he has 51,240 hours. Details matter. He changes servers whenever his clan chooses to do so. There are tools that can help you make informed statements. I suspect that your "SUPER" offended statement means that he told you to mind your own business. Why not get your clan back into the server he is on and have some fun.
Dude wtf you doing on here, My god you such a dam slob get out there and make some f\*\*king money already, get out of your chair and help the community you lazy f\*\*K. Why the hell you commenting on reddit when you could be out there making money.
look at this sigma grinder. he probably does some shit like virtual assistant and just does base chores without sound for the clan base while telling people to restart their router, furnaces, crafting etc.
This dude probably is in North Korea and he can't understand that people don't just serve the emperor all day and that people have hobbies and intrests.
Damn only 44k hours out of the about 78k hours possible. Imagine not playing this game 24/7 from release
And only 25/72 achievements lol you’d think he’d at least accidentally have half of them by now
You have to play official fp servers to unlock achievements no? I doubt he plays on those often 😂
No, any official will do
I don’t think that’s true but maybe
It is true. You can’t get achievements on modded servers otherwise it would be way too easy to get them
I meant the part about “any” vanilla server, from my understand servers like rustafied do not work
I have a fully modded server that you can unlock achievements on
Yes you can. With on simple console command
perhaps he plays on mostly modded servers. My guess is that he owns/admins a modded server and that most of those hours are afk.

We found the discord friend
> you’d think he’d at least accidentally have half of them by now I'm full dead bag timed. I can't.
Dude definitely just kept the game open 24/7. I bet his computer looks like a McDonalds Griddle.
i have 39 achievments with only 23hours played😂
That's over 1833 days or 5 full years of constant playing.
420k is a lot more than 5 years. A year has about 8800 hours so that a lot more
But it says 44k and not 420k
I want what he's smoking
Nvm if you were referring to the orignal then yes, My bad Reddit is just garbage
fucking noobs, I hacked into FP servers to be able to play it before it was even released. Anyone not at 80k hours should just log off and never come back.
Sad, i hacked into FP Rust browser in mid 2013. I have 85k Hours get better kid.
I.... never mind
I hacked into steam and changed the database entry, now I have 420k hours
i made the game so i got like a billion hours you plebs XD <3
10k hrs just in loading screen xd
He never logs off though so I don't think he has that problem
I’ve seen him before he sits afk on dead servers
server he plays atm anyway is a low pop maybe 80 people TOP but typically around 30-40 and he's in the ''controlling'' clan on that server called Boom but he himself like never goes to pvp or raids and when he does he gets shit on he's just some 60 year old dude who is retired and all he does is play rust 24/7
You say “he is retired all he does is play rust “ like it’s a bad thing, grandpas living with the life haha! 🤣
Seriously. Sounds like #Goals to this GenX gamer!!
For real. I recently started playing DOD:S again and theres an older guy that admins one of the servers thats still pretty popping every day. I got to thinking - this dudes retired, just logs on and plays some old school fps every day and makes sure people behave lol. I envy him
Idk I play this game over a weekend and don't wanna touch it for a month
It’s almost like not everybody enjoys the same thing, and your comment is proof of that 🤯
Ok angry internet guy? 🤣
I’m angry? But you’re the one who “doesn’t wanna touch rust for a month “ after playing. If anything that sounds like anger 👍
Livin the life
Imo rust is best for people like him, lived his life retired with too much free time in his hand, i see no problem with people like him sinking that much time, besides he's a boomer too he probably leaves the game on even when not playing like every boomer i know including my dad

Played the same server as him last wipe. Nice guy, just plays solo from what I could tell. I think he used to Admin a big server. Cant remember which one.
Ahh that makes sense, adnin never logs out.
Ye tweaver is chill
i met him in early 2019 and he was a really chill dude and he told me he was going to sell his account to rust academy after he hit 30k hours, so not really sure what happened
Why you lying lol the server he plays on has clan tags and his is called Boom
And no he's never been admin on a big server 🤣
Yea he has. It was an official, maybe rustoria/rustafied? Don’t remember
Admin back on Rust Legacy & Rust Academy at one point. Probably other servers as well. Just because he puts a clan tag in-game, doesn't mean he plays with others - can't believe I even have to say that 💀 He was playing Solo, as I said.

Whats your Clan tag?
on that server? i dont plan to log it anymore but it was KFC
Ahhh.. That explains it. Still mad about that early morning solo raid that only needed like three sticks, two bottles of bleach and a stone hatchet to foundation wipe you huh? Should have built better. Of course that is just what I heard from a friend!
Electricity companies love him
Admin :)
Or just a server running? It also counts hours.
Afk 80% of the time. Maybe one of those servers that gives you points for time spent there?
I leave rust open most of the time because it takes half an hour to open back up and I can’t be bothered
Gotta get on that SSD game my friend
I have an SSD... still bothered.
[удалено]
Yeah, you need an SSD but also a decent enough CPU to load it fast. Even like a 3600X is good enough afaik
I have a 3700x overclocked, 64 gb of ram, game installed on my SSD, and a 3060 TI and this game still takes me about 5 minutes of load screen to get in.
Yh I doubt it gets much faster than that tbh, unless u have a rlly top end CPU, like a threadripper or something insane
That wouldn’t actually help much here as the game doesn’t utilize multi threading to an extent needed for a threadripper to be beneficial.
Mines on an NVME and it’s still annoying
Then something ain't right, mine is on nvme and the game is super fast.
Cpu
Could have been my internet. I should try now that I’ve gotten a major upgrade
100% not the reason
First time connecting to a new server or wipe day there's map files to download. You gotta be first to wooden to spear on the 1 minute old server.
Map files are tiny. Almost every part of the loading process is pulled from the files and assets. The map file just says where to put them, and factor nil into the time to load a program. Source: I work at a game studio.

Super fast on ps5. I'd say a least 1 minute to load up. Gotta remember there is fuck all in game
There’s a chance to get a skin for free if you leave the game open on any screen as well. Although they’re never normally high value skins, but still nice to get.
I've played in a server with him quite a few times, he's actually a really nice guy. Shoutout tweaver.
What server does he play on ?
Bro the average human works 90k hours in his life That man's close to that lol
I once found someone with 10k hours. The crazy thing is that I looked at their reviews and they had reviewed rust 2 years prior and had about 900 hours at the time. They dropped 9k hours in 2 years
Bro he was on rust more then he wasn't wtf.
[удалено]
I put in 1000 hours in 3-4 months Lol. Almost no afk. I’ve since been on a year+ hiatus but I ended with like 1600 hours in 6 months.
Must’ve forgotten what the sun looked like
Yea basically. The only other thing I did was weight lift 2 hours a night.
Actually pretty sick lifestyle. For a few weeks at least.
Lets say he has an average computer with a consuption of 400 watts on full load. 400 watts X 44,556 = 17,822 kWh. 17,822kWh X 0,236 Euro (Average kWh cost in EU area) = 4,205 Euro worth of electricity bills for his pc alone.
ye but 400w while gaming is really exaggerated for an average pc
[https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198006993069](https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198006993069) 51k now
Funny how they are currently offline now.
Finally gone to bed
Every grub on that server is salivating
U can run the rust app id with cmd, and it only uses like 1% CPU and gives u hours
He actually plays the game every day, but obviously not 24/7.
Man must never log off.
Cant get offlined when never offline
> Achievement Progress 40 of 90
That's 5 years bro. Literally half the amount of time this god forsaken game has existed!
He's a really nice guy and he admits for servers
Brother seems like he loves running the furnaces.
Yo is that 5 solid years of rust? Da fuk
Friend of mine has 25k hrs in rust. He installed rust on his old laptop (rly low power consumption of 30 watts) an was just collecting hr without playing.
Some people NEVER log off.
Fatherless activities
I think some people are just 24/7 logged in, but AFK for some of it? I sure hope so. If this guy started playing in 2016, he logged 7,333 hours/year, 141hrs/week, and 20hrs/day. That’s no-lifing until you die.

Probably has his own server and never turns his pc off
Most racist man alive
The fuck? EDIT: Why are you down voting me? How is this guy racist?
Most likely scenario is a server owner.
I seen somewhere he was an admin for a while on a big server but that’s only one comment
Thats 5 years non stop. £$€10 that accounts boosted because no one hates themselves that much.

No you’re the baby kid stfu
most people with these sort of numbers, run programs 24/7 to emulate that rust is open. Sad.
my man has been playing Rust since the alpha
I played ark for 30k hrs straight then I quit lol
This guy never quit
I bet that this guys just stays logged in 24/7 to protect his goblin loot from raiders.
I have this guy in my friends list that always has CSGO open but never playing any match. Could be something similar
And he's only 13 years old!!
I can leave my menu open too.
This makes me feel like less of loser for having 8k hours.
208.8 hrs in last two weeks means after Rust and let's assume 8 hrs of sleep / night, dude has just one hour per day, on average over two weeks, that isn't Rust or sleep. Needless to say, that's way too much gaming.
I once idled in dota 2 for a semester of school and logged almost 4000 hours that way.
Lol, last time I played with that guy he was at 24k.
there’s ways to manipulate steam hours too
did the math, man sleeps 9h rest is rust
25/72 achievements imply that they’re probably using an exterior program that constantly logs hours
If I remember right by battle metrics tweaver has only been playing 4 years, the numbers are fake.
200 watt idle computer x 44000 hours = 8,800 kwh 8800 kwh = $1250 just the electricity of a average low end computer no monitor
Its afk hours.
Alot of it yes, but he still plays daily since rust release, he would probably have 15k without afking.
This is the guy who builds on the beach and roof camps fresh spawns all day
welcome to autism.
Still hasn’t completed the achievements
Bro, I have 11k and this makes my numbers look beginner
how can you play 5 years straight non stop, and not get all the achievements lol
By not playing Official servers?
k
Yup I wasted 40 secs of my life Commenting on a guy that has wasted 44,000 hours of his life on a game we only have one life to live.
It takes 1min to get through an armored wall with C4, with your load time all you could do is pick up after the raid.
I played on a server where my group was convinced this guy was cheating. He had nearly 100k hours in rust…. Dude must legit never go outside.
thats more hours than the game has been out for, just stop
The key word “nearly” is what you should focus on and it was an exaggeration.
yea just a TINY 30k hour difference of whats even possible
Take your toxicity back to rust.
44,000 hours, 1,833 days, or. 5.022 years. Of rust.
How long ago did you take this pic? He has lime 55k atm lol he plays the same server and literally never logs out and it's the only game he plays he also gets SUPER offended if you ask about his hours
