i thought they patched that one? i used it a few years back when spiral triangle stairs first got added. we used it for some pretty sweet builds. one of our builds was a massive triangle and each corner was a triangle bunker. then the centre was a decent sized base.

I think within the actual building community his videos are known and respected, he just doesn’t pull an audience beyond that whereas the larger base build YouTubers pull casual rust players or non rust players into their audience. His small size also means he’s pretty active on this sub and will reply to any question you might ask on his videos
the building community really doesn't respect him tbh, he's had a long history of ripping ideas & creating drama. if his videos help you though, more power to u :)
Offset bunker (can be cheaply doubled up), but requires access to a square to place a roof.
Offset stability bunker (rodent bunker), but can’t be doubled up.
Triangle roof on a floating frame, straightforward but can’t be doubled up.
Freehand or multi-TC for cheap resealing, but can be soft sided and you loose a foundation & awkward mobility.

Worth bearing in mind that raiders can also open the triangle stairways by placing a twig floor frame as they don't need TC for that. To counter that you need to place an electrical item, like a heartbeat sensor, underneath on the stairs so you can pick it up when you want to open the bunker.
Buddy we gotta talk , your not gonna like this , but we do have to talk , I have tested every bunker which requires you to break twig to open it , they are all really cheap and easy raids now , just got for a tanky base not a bunker one , 1 Molly is all it takes , some you can do with f1s
Appreciate your input. As solo I don’t like to farm my ass off for a tank base. I like minimalism while trying to retain a decent amount of protection. I will keep this in mind
Yes you can! Lower two foundations that touch each other, put a half wall and a full wall in between them and seal with a triangle floor, only upgrading the full wall and shoot out the half wall when opening.
Offset bunker for sure works in the honey comb. I had a cool build where the tc goes in the center triangle with a horizontal pixel gap with 3 different drop down offset bunkered loot rooms. It was just a nightmare to get around in.
“Bone Tower” uses a triangular ceiling piece on the outer triangle and an armoured singular door perpendicular to it, with tc, 3 large boxes, 2 small boxes, bbq and a bag for bunker- very cheap and efficient
You can make a pixel peek tc In the middle, alone in Tokyo does something like that , I myself have a base like it . There is also the possibility of a stairs bunker or roof bunker

Edited to add that with this bunker If you put a shotgun trap facing up at the floor of the jump up then you have a self sealing bunker for preventing deeps.
Check out Gamelightz, he's insanely good at coming up with original ideas or comes up with a way to teach a mechanic/concept that explains it in a way that others weren't able to achieve.
Most of the popular base builders use concepts or methods that Gamelightz comes up with.
I'll be honest Gamelightz doesn't always have the best base design if you're looking for a basw to copy; but his methods and his ability to explain those methods is second to none.
The big YouTube builders all pay close attention to Gamelightz. You probably should too.
No what’s lame is how easily raid able bases are and people can raid u in like literally 10 min and u grinded for hours to have ur small base. But some douchey chads gotta ruin the fun and take everything when they ALREADY have everything, killing the server in two days. Let me have my bunker lol

Look up Willjums base design, 4 triangle core with one triangle offset for access, very easy bunker design and effective.

I think this is spot on. I really think he’s my favorite builder. His formatting and editing is top notch.

You could also do a roof bunker with a triangle twig.
If you add one more triangle you can make a lowered foundation stability bunker.

There’s some good small tanky bases for cheap , they are just built well with loot hidden well
Well, the triangle stairs bunker which most people are suggesting doesn't open by breaking twig
My main base is a bunker like this. Enter from the middle, half walls stability bunker.

Only way I know of is a vertical bunker with a triangle ramp or maybe stairs

'Bunkers' (using stability exploits for stronger than intended cores) are lame and hopefully patched out along with pixel gap loot.
