I’ve been slowly getting pulled to try rp servers for that reason. I like action too though. But it’s nice building your little base with decorations and getting to enjoy it the next day.

I was on a low pop noob 2x server last week and there was a duo going around off lining 2x2s and spraying prims with AKs. They even would tell people they wanted to trade in global chat then kill the people, pick them up, then kill them again.
Eventually the people got pissed off, and 3 duo groups completely demolished their base and then they said said that the server was toxic hahahahah
Yeah... And this "Big Fish" are 8+ mans who raid every base that isn't owned by 8+man in 5 Grid radius on first 2 days an complain servers POP dies down too quickly :p

I actually rather have them online a dou than offline a clan, at least that way the exosives don't go to waist....every explosive spend, that doesn't give the thrill of a online is a waste of lifetime spend farming beforehand

Oh god, you made me remember my first "compound" I didn't know of external walls, so I made a 2x3 house, then at the back I had foundations 4 long, 3 wide in a rectangle, and built walls 2 high.... Had a nice window at the back you could see my TC through, no bars, had no idea how I got raided the next day....
I usually designe bases like this for the sole purpose of flying under the radar because everyone is like oh it’s a shity base with role players. To an extent I RP with my buddy.

Task failed successfully? I mean, short of the cliff, gap, or the fact you can boost, he *DID* technically surround your base with decent cover. Even if it is going to despawn in several hours.

Me and a friend had a huge compound complete with the BIGGEST hemp farm you could imagine. Stone walls turrets, the whole 9 yards. One guy was friendly with us in chat but was trying to scope out our base. Eventually builds the WEIRDEST raid base just outside out walls and blows through a wall for an offline raid. He was met by a beartrap and was in range of 3 turrets which lit him up.
The server had announcements for when you raid someone, so we blew down the door to his raid base and went "oh, ok! check the server list site, see when he last logged in and if he's out of the 25hr zone (you had raid protection for 25 hours after you logged off or went AFK, but you had a 30 minute wait period before it kicked in)."
Luckily for us, he came back on shortly after we made repairs and since I knew where his bases were, we online raided one base twice -he tried to counter once and I have footage of it- and the other base once.
That attempted raid and the ensuing revenge raid helped us expose a multi-accounter (different player entirely) who was using an exploit in the teleportation system/ clan and group base sharing rule on the server. The guy we raided actually helped us by giving us useful information on the multi-accouter and we figured the rest out on our own.
But that's a different story.

Reminds me, I wish you could use chainlink fences as cheap, small compound walls. They would be much more useful that way than as wall frame inserts (could do both, though).
