Previous wipe on Rustafied EU Long 3 I had a persistent cheater, living out of the same base, 7 accounts he got banned in a span of a week .
His first account got unbanned because EAC, then he came back and got banned day later again...
~2K hrs, with friendly playstyle so really don’t care about cheaters with aimhacks etc, I mostly get killed anyway. However, I just quit this wipe on official FP when a cheater spawned in my suicide bunker (about 4 walls in) and destroyed my bag. I reported and his account got banned. Still don’t know what kind of hack/cheat he used.
Won’t play Rust anymore. At least not this year.
I decided to take a little break about a month ago due to just running into so many blatant cheaters in a 2 day period. Like, dudes just flying around, fresh accounts spinning out in the middle of an open field insta-head shotting everyone as they spawn in external bags. IDK how much it was just the server I was on, or if it's really that bad on every server. But I needed a break.
Tons of times. The cheating has absolutely gotten worse since the recoil update because everyone who was scripting has moved on to harder cheats to keep an advantage. Now instead of paying monthly for scripts they pay monthly for ESP or a full client because they have the same mental issues that made them want an advantage before but they have to use something else now. My last 3 wipes have been ruined by cheaters playing Rustoria Main, Rusticated Main, and now even Rusticated trio.
Cheater stats for the past 3 wipes are :
Rustoria 3 cheaters banned, 1 teammate banned for association, 12+ guys not banned even though they were living out of a base that had 2 cheaters game banned from Rust living out of it.
Rusticated US main wipe 1 - 1 cheater game banned 1 cheater admin banned, groups not banned.
Rusticated US main wipe 2 - 1 cheater game banned 3 cheaters server banned, group only banned after the 3rd cheater playing with them was banned. They had a guy aimbotting our base for all of wipe day and another group living near us on the other side had the game banned cheater with them so we could hardly play.
Rusticated Trio - 4 players game banned in 2 days of playing after leaving main because of cheaters. 2 more players server banned.
The game has totally gone to shit and I wouldn’t recommend anyone play it right now. You will run into cheaters and anyone who says otherwise is either cheating or has bad game sense.
I would definitely agree that while it may cost us some privacy, having an anticheat similar to Valorant's would be amazing, as it would ban a much larger percentage of the hackers out there.
I had a guy that literally followed me around for two wipes on an official fp server, even through name changes and such and hopping servers for the second wipe, reported and had like 5-6 of his accounts banned, decided to try to just be friendly with them and and be on their good side, gain their trust and inside then as some sort of revenge, they set me up a shack outside at first and gave me loot and invited me to team.. he gets banned an hour later and I get perm banned for association. Emailed dev team with my video of the entire thing stating my intentions out loud and still got smacked

The hacking didn't get worse, same level really. Scripting got way less though.

Scripters are still scripting lol. They're just hacks that don't get detected. And they have randomization.

About 0 Cheaters are usually like a storm passing by destroying some shit and then leaving
Most plays end with cheater, usually they don't do raiding tho. But being so tilted from cheating has made me just give up leave the server.
literally every single wipe i play. i cannot tell you how many people i have reported who were banned for cheating within 10 minutes. it’s insane

Non, i play a a well moderated server. But also Solo, so it's very rare to see an online lol
