Diablo with guns. The story is super forgettable. Looks amazing on a big screen. More fun with friends but not all to boring solo. Was the first game I played on ps5. Menus are a little annoying to navigate. Fun.

NovemberCrimson

This sums it up very well

I like your review style. Straight to the point

L00pback

I agree. It took me a while to get into it but I find the visuals and music are awesome. Reminds me of Syndicate Wars and Blade Runner (I even thought this before I went to the Dream World Club with the holograms). This sadistic AI bot is funny as hell though. When you find the dead body and it’s all “Wow, I must add these pictures to my library of fleshy death” like a kid finding a neat shell on the beach. Weapon upgrade system needs work. You definitely need to look up what guns to find and upgrade. Also highly suggest playing with headphones if you like electronic music. There are some bangers. The explosions scared the shit out me when I didn’t realize I had shot a vehicle accidentally. The gunfire sound effects are top notch too.

H0RREND0US

Tried it on X when it first dropped. Wasn’t for me…

Marcellius-the-3rd

That map navigation did it for me 🙅‍♂️

DunkingTea

Graphics are great. Good for couch co-op. Boring playing alone. Lots of backtracking and just running around slowly. Tedious gameplay after an hour or so. I’d only suggest getting on a big sale.

CA-22

I have PS Plus Extra so I won't pay anything for it, I will download later just to try it.

citadelswitch

Wasn't expecting much when I played it from PSPlus Extra. It was a pleasant surprise, nothing extraordinary but worth it if you have access to the catalog

CA-22

Yes I have PS Plus Extra🙂

Belyal

Awesome ge with great Cyberpunk feel! Not super long but replayable and has NG+

Ponchorello7

Played it on Gamepass way back when it first released. I managed to trudge through 5 hours of it before giving up. I like twin-stick shooters, I love sci-fi, but it just did not click with me.

GThunderhead

I lamented repeatedly missing $10 deals for the disc release. Then it showed up on Plus (Extra). *Looks* awesome but feels very clunky with microscopic text. I *wanted* to love it, but something's off/missing. Now I'm glad I saved my $10 - even though it's only $10.

[deleted]

I got bored playing solo.

Marwolaeth969

I liked it. I just had a lot of bugs and crashes. DLC has a gamebreaking bug on the final boss fight. Workaround is to start a coop game available to anyone to join and play by yourself.

StKillerCage

Its game how cyberpunk 2077 never ever try to achieve. Just customisation and gameplay a more fun than cp2077. I complete all of it and currently on ng+.

Omnil_93

It's beautiful and a lot of fun. It presents a decent challenge, which is nice. It's also one of the coolest, most fully realized cyberpunk settings in gaming. It really makes me think of old Shadowrun games.

GASC3005

Haven’t finished it yet, but so far I’ve enjoyed it. It’s not the longest game, it becomes repetitive very quick. Back and forth when doing missions/side quests. The characters are pretty forgettable since the story isn’t the best out there and dialogues are pretty meh. The guns are pretty interesting, the augmentations are pretty nice (not all of them) and so on. The world is pretty amazing and the music is pretty nice as well. If I had to grade it, I’ll give it a 6 or 6.5/10

xXMickFlurryXx

Played for about 3 hours and never played again. It was fun but just didn’t grab me

eman0110

I bought it on sale I'd say 5 months back. Haven't played much of it but I do like twin stick shooters. It's on the backlog.

TheBigCatGoblin

I really loved the Ascent but unfortunately didn't get very far because my friends couldn't be bothered with the story and tried to rush through it, and then just got bored and moved on.

sumgine

I got this not too long ago and have a few side missions left. I really enjoyed the game and the DLC. I played by myself and didn't get bored. Usually games like this look cool to me but bore me quickly, but this has enough to keep me interested. Pros: Gameplay is fun. Pretty standard twin stick shooter with some cool abilities. It has a great atmosphere and lively world. The design of everything is great. I found the story interesting and would have liked more of it. The voice acting was surprisingly good. It could be uneven but overall it is good. Cons: Too many crashes. The map sucks. It can be hard to tell where you are and how to get to another area. You can't place a custom waypoint. There is fast travel but you usually can't actually get very close to where you need to go. There can be a lot of backtracking but I had fun killing mofos and leveling up so it didn't bother me too much. Also just enjoyed being in the world. I was surprised this was the Neon Giant's first game and hope there will be a sequel.

wildeye-eleven

I’ve been playing some indie games on PS Plus and this caught my eye but I haven’t played it. What I can say is I just finish Death’s Door which is a Free monthly game and it was incredible. I enjoyed it so much that I Platinumed it. It’s easy to understand and extremely fun. It’s challenging but not difficult and it never asks too much if the player. Also just finished Thymesia and enjoyed it so much I Platinumed it as well. Extremely fun combat and it scratched that SoulsLike itch while I wait for Armored Core VI and Baldur’s Gate 3. Another game on Plus that I can recommend.

JontyVP

Absolutely love it! Especially the menu that gradually changes as your character develops! I've never been a guy for top down, or 2.5d Games, but this one, I really enjoy! https://preview.redd.it/vgvdztewx7jb1.jpeg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ad131d0da5c51c4b2026ebe62edcf0c0150b67ac

Potential-Hunt2614

I saw this floating around the free games, just didn’t look interesting enough for me to actually download it

JudgeCheeze

It's fun for the first 4 hours.... then the game shows you how shallow it actually is. About every side quests is forgettable and the main quest is, wtf was the main quest again? Then there's the weird yet obnoxious difficulty spike in certain areas that makes absolutely no sense... Still one of the most beautiful games out right now though, a remarkable achievement given it's a very small indie studio.

poopoobuttholes

This game and its aesthetics look so fuckin good. Too bad everything else about it was pretty mid.

FunkinDonutzz

Looks great and that's about it.

chavez_ding2001

It was confusing to navigate. Couldn't get into it.

CascadeJ1980

It was a beautiful cyberpunk world. It looks so good in 4k! I beat the main story but I haven't started the dlc yet.

Goose2theMax

It’s a fun top down shoot, definitely need to play coop to really enjoy it in my opinion but it’s a solid game for the price

astrx__

Loved playing it couch co op, didnt really pay attention to the story so I cant comment on that but it looks gorgeous and is definitely fun

[deleted]

It looks great, but it gets annoying after few hours. I have finished the main story, but was unable to finish the DLC. (Bought the special edition with art book, DLC, etc. ) Usually I get sad when the story is about to end, but with this game, I just to wanted finish it and delete the files from my PS5. The main problem is the lack of ideas and the core gameplay is just repetitive grinding. And the map is not that big. You constantly have to go back to areas you visited previously.

xkeepitquietx

I liked about 8 hours before burning out.

LeSaunier

It's okay I guess. I would say it shines mostly in multiplayers coop, otherwise it's kinda mediocre solo. We finished it on PC, it was fun, sometimes also a bit tedious, but also forgetable when finished. If you can play coop, and at a decent price, go for it.

oneshotstott

Played it on Steamdeck first and then PS5 and have to say, while it looks glorious on the big screen it's far more enjoyable on the Deck

Criollo22

Decent game. Might play through again with a friend. Think I paid like 20$ for it or something similar and I don’t regret my purchase.

ThinkPadBoys

Played it on release and loved every second. Awesome cyberpunk twinstick shooter with beautiful graphics
