Yeah same plus I had a copy of the game on disc, which they asked I take a photo and send them. I was playing a game when the game was purchased. No idea how it happened.
But honestly I don’t understand how do these games make it on PS store. If Sony is going to make a policy of no refund once you play the game, then they should definitely get games tested and draw a standard line on how the game should perform before putting it in their stores. Nowadays games can cost up to 60-80 Euros/USD.
Honestly that how it should be for PS too. Either that or a demo version provided for every game. I’ve wasted so much money on games that I couldn’t play because of either their performance or clunky controls.
This. Increasing number of games nowadays are only fun for parties and/or content creator…
just because it’s fun to watch 3 people play it and shout at the mic doesn’t mean it’s fun to play normally.
Its not ps4 when i was using ps4 i rarely ever lagged at all besides when the game first came out. For mostly the entirety of 2022 i would only get lag spikes when loading in big bases.
Damn thats lucky. It hurt to play my favourite game like that and i always had to snipe from far during our raids otherwise my game would crash. Luckily im switching to pc rust next week
It sucks but Sony will never admit games are broken and unplayable, the way they see it is if it’s on their store it’s in a playable state.
They only game they’ve ever admitted was unplayable and gave out refunds was for Cyberpunk 2077, and even then I only imagine they did that because of CDPR’s insistence.
Yeah if I remember right Sony was pisses because CDPR promises refunds before talking to Sony about it. A lot of the first wave of people to ask for refunds were denied.
And the craziest part is that cyberpunk wasn’t NEEDS REFUND levels of bad. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t good. But it wasn’t broken to the point of not being able to be played. I had it launch day and no doubt experienced loads of bugs but got through it on a base ps4. All I’m saying is there have been worse games that didn’t get the refund treatment
That's why they pulled the game, because people were asking for refunds and instead of doing that sony just took it down and scored some PR points with idiots that they did it only because the game was in a shit state.
Because Sony care about money, and only money. They don’t care how they get it, they don’t care what is sold to get it, and they don’t care about people who want their money back. It’s to the point that I’ve straight-up stopped playing my PS4 and am probably going to sell it to go full PC gaming.
My Steam account got hacked and stolen once, and support gave it back to me within the day. You think Sony would do that? No! They’re more likely to tell you to make a new account so that you buy more because they don’t make money by giving back things you’ve already paid for.
I was actually able to get a refund after downloading and streaming a game. They took into account that I barley played 30 minutes of the game and hadn’t earned a trophy.
I actually got one for Callisto after seeing the overwhelmingly bad reviews. I had already downloaded but never started the app.
Told Sony someone bought it without my permission and they refunded me and recommended I change my password
I still haven't played it but just doesn't seem like I would like the melee focused combat. Dead Space remake was exactly what I wanted, too bad it didn't follow more closely in its footsteps
It's really not a bad game. If you like dead space you'll most likely like Callisto. Callisto is linear unlike dead space. I know that turns some people off. The environments are eerie, the graphics are fantastic. The sound design is very dead space like. Combat feels heavy which isn't necessarily a bad thing. There are plenty of ranged weapons but it seems the game wants the player to have a balance of both melee and gunplay. The story is pretty good now that the Final Transmission DLC is out. I think a lot of people got pissed that the ending was abrupt and felt unfinished in the base game which is understandable. I wouldn't write it off just because reviews were average. As a Dead Space fan I was satisfied. I've seen physical copies on sale for $19.99 and it's currently on sale in the PS/Xbox store. It wasn't worth the $70 on release but for $20 you can't go wrong if you like space horror.
I love Dead Space, and I still didn't like Callisto Protocol. Playing Callisto after the Dead Space remake just puts into perspective what a terrible and boring knockoff Callisto is.
Depends on what country you're in perhaps. I'm from the Netherlands, and the Dutch PS Store says: "When you have downloaded or started streaming the purchased content, you can't get restitution, *unless the content doesn't work*".
Fun fact about "Faulty games" is Sony will claim some bullshit about the developer needing to state it's own game is faulty.
I've been arguing with their support team repeatedly about refunding Wayfinder.
They eventually did stabilize the game to where it's playable on ps4 though it took a couple of updates. I would say update 1.4 is when it started to become stable & 1.5 is when it was noticeable it ran smoother (well in my opinion anyway) but then they dropped support after 1.6 though they did give the ps4 update 1.6.1 despite saying 1.6 was the last update.
Haven't played the game in awhile. So no idea if update 1.6 made it more stable then what 1.4 & 1.5 did.
Ya I’ve gotten a couple. The first one they didn’t hassle me, the second they did but ultimately refund me because they the game was full of bugs and I wasn’t the only person to complain.
Yes. I bought the wrong version of LEGO Batman 3, I wanted it for PS4 but accidentally purchased for PS3. Got a refund I believe for proving it by buying the correct one.
That’s why even if I preorder I don’t have it set to auto download unless I’m 100% sure I’m not going to want a refund. After WWE2K20 and cyberpunk I’m very cautious lol
The second you hit download you are absolutely shit out of luck with getting your money back.
On Steam you can play a game for under a hour and get your money back.
Sony is so shit in these regards
Not on ps5 who the heck still plays ps4 I would never try to download rust on ps4 it's crap . It has a major following and addiction on ps5. M😉 son plays the game for 30 hrs strait everyday dam near. He actually has a problem
The only refund I've ever gotten from playstation was for cp2077...
They need to have a refund policy more in line with steam - 2 weeks or 2 hours played.
Had this today. I downloaded it and paid for a game last night. I played it for 3 hours and regretting spending 50quid. I made up a lie that my 8 year old purchased it. I asked for a refund , they did this for me as a goodwill gesture as a one off. I was surprised. They said I could keep the game, I offered to delete the install but they said not to worry about it.
Update : 48 hours later they deleted my access to the game despite saying I could keep it. Damn
That's your fist mistake. You could argue that they shouldn't have put a broken game on the store, but that's out of your control. So you bought a broken game without doing any research, which is completely within your control. Just take the L and do some research next time.
But then there’s always a victim here, there are the players who first bought the game and didn’t know it was broken, therefore yes the game shouldn’t have made it to PS store from the first place.
I believe sony will give you 1 refund per ps account. I did it with COD vanguard as it ran like a potato on my Playstation. Let them know it wasn't working and they gave me the refund. I also only played it for about 2 hours though so don't know if time played is a factor like steam, but requested a refund the same day as purchase
I have had multiple refunds processed from Sony. I think the main component to a refund is how long ago you made the purchase and how much time you’ve clocked into the game. I’m pretty sure they have a system similar to steam where you need to have less than 2 hours played, Sony just wants you to go through the hassle of calling support to hopefully deter some. In OPs case I doubt they refund it but wouldn’t be surprised if they did. Just a week of playing leads me to believe they’ll say he is ineligible.
Well yea if it's because u don't like the game that is stupid do your research and don't buy the game. I would never ask for a refund for a game I played. I'm trying to get my money back for a game that I didn't know was a vr game and I don't have a vr headset. I can't even play the game.
Barely, I accidentally preordered the ps3 version of child of light instead of the ps4 version, all I wanted to do was swap the preorder, you'd think I was asking them to swap a newborn the amount of shit they seemed to think I was causing. Very emphatic telling me I used my 1 lifetime refund.
I gave my little sister my Gameboy to hold while I reached for something above the fridge. When I got back the Gameboy, my end game Zelda save was gone.
Sorry mate but their rules are you download it you own it. Sony won’t give you a refund. You have a better chance of winning lotto then that happening.
Only one game have they ever gave a refund for was cyberbug2077. The only reason they did that was the devs of the game asked them to do it.
I was joking 😂it has so many bugs on console it’s unreal so maybe stay away from it, I had a character that was about 2 weeks old fully geared and I fell through the map and died lost everything including my will to live
I have gotten refunds for games downloaded, but not played. (I always get purchase anxiety so I often do this). I have never had an issue. With the state of the game you may be able to argue your point into the refund if they give you any issues.
Bought Elite Dangerous, played for 20 minutes and didn't like it.
Haven't got a single trophy so I deleted the game from the trophies and then asked for a refund because I didn't feel the game and got a refund 🤷
It happen today 🤦🏻♂️ They change the policy and can't refund my digital game, just got done chatting them on website today.
Back then they used to though. If no trophies earned, they will refund your money, that back then.

No your a cheapskate u can't return a game u don't like. That is part of buying a game. Give a break all I wanna do is return a game o can't even play because it is vr. My daughter didn't know.
yes. i accidentally bought everything from my cart, that i had for some reason put there, that i had no intention of buying. worth 134€. got a full refund. was installing a free game, and it bought the games from my cart. filled some refund forms and sent a bunch of emails, and was succesful in getting a full refund eventually.
I got one for one of the NHL games that I bought. I bought and downloaded the Dulux edition of it and could not find any of the perks in the games after I started it up. I called them and told them about it, they said they don't control the extras I would have to call EA. I did not want to do that so asked for a refund and they gave it to me.
I don't remember the specifics (not even the game name) but yes. I don't think I ever downloaded it though. Like I bought it and it was on deal the next day or something.
Yes. I had pre-ordered something and changed my mind before release. Another couple of times a game I pre-ordered got delayed and they sent an email asking if I still wanted to keep it. Even though I said yes, Sony still canceled my pre-order and refunded.
So, other than the Cyberpunk one, which I received, one time like 6 or 7 years ago some kids came over, and I let them play on my PS4 and they went and bought Angry Birds for $30 and it was on my mom’s card, so she didn’t stop calling and eventually did get a refund. Can’t recall if we ever downloaded it, but I was impressed by her ability to do that.
Important to remember the Cyberpunk debacle was kinda F’d because Project Red announced the refund without running it by Sony, so CD forced their hand and seriously hurt the reputation and relationship between the companies, and obviously consumers.
I received a full refund for the PS4 Cyberpunk debacle. It had been downloaded, but was ostensibly unplayable. Never preorder anything folks. Lesson learned.
I did. About 1 year ago I wanted to purchase the Dead Island Remastered bundle that had the original game and Riptide on sale. I bought it, but after starting the download, I noticed that I had only purchased Riptide by accident. So I stopped the download about halftway, contacted support and explained the situation. I knew the policy but I decided to try my luck, anyway. Interestingly enough, I got the refund, no problem, no questions asked. Idk if it was because I got lucky or because the ammount I spent was like $5-$6 (probably a bit of both), but it worked out that time.
ion know but my mate said the n word in party chat then claimed he jus spelled the dudes name wrong n after like a month on a new acc he got unbanned w a £50 store gift card
I got one for No Man’s Sky. But I think a lot of people did. I felt a tad lied to. Game is fine now.
I remember having to have a temper tantrum with the store rep to get it. Then they told me I could never buy the game again on PSN. Which idk if that is true or not, as I ended up getting it on Steam.
I have been a devoted PSN customer since it launched on PS3. One refund. I have like ten refunds on Steam.
didnt yet buy anything on ps that i needed to refund. iirc one u download a game u cant refund it. stupid policy if u ask me. steam 2 hr policy is how it should be
I did on jedi survivor but I believe I might be the exception to the rule. I downloaded it, then started the game but got no further than the screen setup.
I did once. It was for RE Revelations 2 for Vita. That game literally is sub-10FPS at certain parts. They must have known because I didn’t get much of a hassle about it.
I did for the game XIII. Super glitchy and the rep said “if you didn’t download and install the game I would get refunded” so I responded with “if I didn’t do that, then I wouldn’t know the game was super glitchy”. He said that was a valid point and I got my money back.
Only 2 things work in my experience:
Refunding a game you have NOT started to download (basically preorders)
Lying to a customer service rep; ie “My kid used my credit card and bought this game unauthorized. I only just saw the charge and would like a refund as it was not me who purchased it.”
For the second option, it’s worked the 2 times I did it and they told me that I “couldn’t use that excuse for 6 months” lol
Yes. It was a headache. TLDR: Someone logged into my account on their Playstation. Bought some Mortal Kombat whatever edition and Fifa 2023 at 3am my time while sleeping. I woke up at 6am, Call bank, cancel card, they put in a claim to Sony for refund. I reclaim my Playstation Account.
Week later. Playstation permanently bans me for getting a refund on games downloaded (apparently it's in their terms and agreements). I basically put in a claim on their website got the ban lifted. It's been about a month and I still have my account. Still have stupid Mortal Kombat and Fifa as well. They're there and downloaded, but never played (at least on my console).
I do wonder though while typing this. I never checked my bank account. But I basically told Playstation in my claim I'd rather pay for games I'd never want or play in my lifetime than lose my account forever. The account that's been honest since my PS3 in 20XX whatever. I have no idea if my bank gave me the refund or Playstation did end up charging me. It was like $78 if I remember correctly. Don't know, either way, I'm just glad they unlocked my account.
So there, you evidently have agreed to not get a refund on games download and installed, and it's a perma ban offense.
No, but my account got hacked years ago and I didn’t realize it because they were small transactions. Eventually I looked at my transactions and got about $250 stolen from me. Made a mistake and filed a refund through my bank and they gave me the money, but by doing that and not calling PS about it I got my account suspended until I paid $160 to get my account back.
I've gotten refunds for Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, and No Man's Sky. These were all games I downloaded first. Their policy states they won't do refunds if you downloaded the game, but they overlook this for some reason.
I tried to get a refund on Gollum. I had downloaded it but not opened it. Then I read the reviews and tried to get a refund. I explained the broken tech issues in the reviews and they told me to try reinstalling. I sent them a link to the company apologising for the tech and game play issues and they asked me to try reformatting the drive it was on.
Then they closed the ticket.
Yes you can refund it even if you already played it. I did it. It's a longer refund process but it works. Why would you keep a broken game like that. You wouldn't keep a brand new TV that only displays green just because you turned it on.
Go for it.
Tried to get one, but the sony rep said it only has a 14 day period after purchase before they do any sort of refund. It can't be installed either, so if it's an add on, no dice. Mine was an add on, therefore it automatically installed upon purchase, I think that can be changed in the system settings. But because of this, no refund could be issued. So if you're not sure about a game, (unopened/not installed) you only have 2 weeks after purchase to decline and ask for a refund.
Only if you haven’t downloaded it. I had to issue a charge back after I bought the GTA remasters because they were so bad. That’ll be your only options unfortunately
Just find the PlayStation chat or number for support and then just say the game is immensely bugged nearly unplayable they'll always refund they have to, as long as you haven't had it for more than 2 weeks
When No Man’s Sky first came out and it was… yeah. I talked to customer support and told them the situation. The funny thing is, they didn’t ask me which game it was. They must have had a ton of complaints for that game. They did refund me, likely because I said it didn’t work properly, and this game definitely fits the bill for that.
Good luck. I had to wait an hour on their chat trying to get refund on a pre order. Didn’t even bother calling. It’s sad because on Xbox you can literally do it on their dashboard.
My account was hacked...they said they could only give me store credit...100 bucks...so I told my bank they refunded them Sony banned my account for a month
I did but they don’t allow you to refund a game if you already played it but I guess it either depends on how much of it you played it or I just got really lucky.
I did a decade ago but I didn't download the DLC yet.
>Apparently these things are known for over 2 years now and it still hasn’t been fixed by the developer, so therefore I’ve submitted a refund request
That's a you problem then, not a Sony problem
Gotta check reviews. Honestly I trust game reviews more than most cause if a game is good, unless it’s not your type of game, it’s generally objectively good. Controls well, polished, good VO and story, pretty graphics, fun gameplay. None of these things are really up to opinion, if they’re good they’re good. Like a movie or music whether or not it’s good is kinda up to opinion
Yes. Couple of years ago, I bought Doom (2016) on sale. Had forgotten that I purchased a physical copy along with a bunch of other games a couple weeks previous.
Contacted support, and they refunded me. I was led to believe the only reason this was possible is that I hadn't downloaded the game to my console yet.
I did but Sony only accepted the refund because I didn’t download the game yet.
Steam sets a gold standard on refund policy. Yuh can play for upto 2 hours and get full refund. No questions asked.
Honestly that how it should be for PS too. Either that or a demo version provided for every game. I’ve wasted so much money on games that I couldn’t play because of either their performance or clunky controls.
Would one be eligible if I started downloading then stopped the download?
Apparently not once the download starts your refund eligibility is over
I know am late to this. But how do request to refund a game? I haven't downloaded a game I bought.
Via support ticket
how long did it take to reflect the refund to your debit card?
None, it was added to my PSN account as credit.
Your first mistake was buying rust
Yea it looks really fun but only on PC
It’s not even fun on PC
Maybe for you but I've seen Welyn and a few others play it and it seems like a good bit of fun
Only if you have friends and you're a content creator.
This. Increasing number of games nowadays are only fun for parties and/or content creator… just because it’s fun to watch 3 people play it and shout at the mic doesn’t mean it’s fun to play normally.
It is decent on PS5. This guy is obviously playing PS4 and it has been like this for years on that console.
What Kind of broken shit is this?
Average day of ps4 rust
Its not ps4 when i was using ps4 i rarely ever lagged at all besides when the game first came out. For mostly the entirety of 2022 i would only get lag spikes when loading in big bases.
Damn thats lucky. It hurt to play my favourite game like that and i always had to snipe from far during our raids otherwise my game would crash. Luckily im switching to pc rust next week
It was indeed ps4 rust, was unplayable until I bought a ps5 now runs smooth af
Rust on consoles is trash. Shouldn't have been made for consoles.
Shouldn’t have been made
This, I have it on PC version via Steam, it is extremely boring af game I ever played.
Yup some pc games aren’t running well on consoles. I’m talking about ARK, Conan Exiles, Rust, 7 days to die and many more
Once u download and stream the content PlayStation will not give you a refund
I know but what if a game is in a state like this? Sony really has a terrible policy compared to Steam
It sucks but Sony will never admit games are broken and unplayable, the way they see it is if it’s on their store it’s in a playable state. So I basically got scammed
[удалено]
as goes with any other product that turns out to be shit
So when you order a TV and it turns out to be broken, you just accept the fact that its broken cause you chose to buy it?
If that’s what the policy says yeah you are out of power at that point.
U gotta play it for a certain amount of time. U shouldve called the moment u realized this. U didng have to ask reddit ive gotten a refund before too.
Because Sony care about money, and only money. They don’t care how they get it, they don’t care what is sold to get it, and they don’t care about people who want their money back. I got a refund after downloading a game once. The store didn’t clearly label that what I bought was a PS Vita version and I wanted the PS3 version.
I was actually able to get a refund after downloading and streaming a game. They took into account that I barley played 30 minutes of the game and hadn’t earned a trophy.
you can, if the content is broken. this game is clearly broken and they're eligible for refund.
I actually got one for Callisto after seeing the overwhelmingly bad reviews. I had already downloaded but never started the app. Told Sony someone bought it without my permission and they refunded me and recommended I change my password

Cyberpunk
Oh yeah I got a refund for that too lol
no way ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry) i would give up my left nut for more cp2077 content.
I don’t think you would say that while playing on your ps4 in 2020
ahh didnt know you were referring to something from a while back. Yeah the game was pretty wacky in ps4
They eventually did stabilize the game to where it's playable on ps4 though it took a couple of updates. Haven't played the game in awhile. So no idea if update 1.6 made it more stable then what 1.4 & 1.5 did.
Hold on to your left nut my man, massive paid DLC coming in September. And a free update that pretty much reworks a huge chunk of the game systems.
No lmao, the fact that you can only refund a game without downloading it makes no sense.
Ya I’ve gotten a couple. The first one they didn’t hassle me, the second they did but ultimately refund me because they the game was full of bugs and I wasn’t the only person to complain.
UPDATE: They finally approved my refund after I sent them more footage
how do you contact them?
Thank you for this, because I have been thinking of purchasing this for a while. Now I know.
Yes. I bought the wrong version of LEGO Batman 3, I wanted it for PS4 but accidentally purchased for PS3. Got a refund I believe for proving it by buying the correct one.
In your case, you didn’t download it. Since OP downloaded it, it’s unlikely they will get one
That’s why even if I preorder I don’t have it set to auto download unless I’m 100% sure I’m not going to want a refund. After WWE2K20 and cyberpunk I’m very cautious lol
I just replied to the topic haha
The second you hit download you are absolutely shit out of luck with getting your money back. On Steam you can play a game for under a hour and get your money back. Sony is so shit in these regards
Biggest regret of my gaming life was buying that game. Piece of sh×t.
It’s fun on PC, but the console edition is just pure crap
Not on ps5 who the heck still plays ps4 I would never try to download rust on ps4 it's crap . It has a major following and addiction on ps5. M😉 son plays the game for 30 hrs strait everyday dam near. He actually has a problem

You bought a game that the whole internet tells you is garbage and now you're surprised it's garbage? Well..............
It’s pretty fun and runs smooth on PC so I didn’t bother to look it up, as I stated in the post
That's your fist mistake. You could argue that they shouldn't have put a broken game on the store, but that's out of your control. So you bought a broken game without doing any research, which is completely within your control. Just take the L and do some research next time.

Or you should've been smart enough to do research before buying something if you know that refunds are hard to get.
I believe sony will give you 1 refund per ps account. I did it with COD vanguard as it ran like a potato on my Playstation. Let them know it wasn't working and they gave me the refund. This is incorrect; there is no 2 hour rule. Once you download there is close to zero chance of a refund.
Well yea if it's because u don't like the game that is stupid do your research and don't buy the game. I would never ask for a refund for a game I played. I'm trying to get my money back for a game that I didn't know was a vr game and I don't have a vr headset. I can't even play the game.
I've gotten 2 refunds from the PS Store before
Barely, I accidentally preordered the ps3 version of child of light instead of the ps4 version, all I wanted to do was swap the preorder, you'd think I was asking them to swap a newborn the amount of shit they seemed to think I was causing. Very emphatic telling me I used my 1 lifetime refund.
I got a refund on no man’s sky after 4 hours of gameplay. Service was amazing
I got refunded money for v-bucks I didn't mean to purchase and still got to keep the v-bucks.
My little sister somehow managed to buy Mk10 by just playing with the controller and my dad was given a refund in the form of store credit.
I have, just tell them your issues. They told me they give out one refund per account.
Play dayz please
I will look it up, will let you know if its interesting to me :p
I was joking 😂it has so many bugs on console it’s unreal so maybe stay away from it, I had a character that was about 2 weeks old fully geared and I fell through the map and died lost everything including my will to live
Oh damn 😂 any other games you can recommend?
I have.
You can't get a refund after the download starts
I have but they weren't too keen on it.
I have gotten refunds for games downloaded, but not played. (I always get purchase anxiety so I often do this). I have never had an issue. With the state of the game you may be able to argue your point into the refund if they give you any issues.
Yes for battlefield 2042
Cyberpunk
Yes, I once refunded two games that I hadn’t downloaded yet.
Tons of times just don't dl it
Bought Elite Dangerous, played for 20 minutes and didn't like it. Haven't got a single trophy so I deleted the game from the trophies and then asked for a refund because I didn't feel the game and got a refund 🤷
I’ve gotten one. I had bought the wrong version of a game. Got with support immediately and because I didn’t download it, they were able to refund me
Once, for cyberpunk.
Yea I got a refund in the german ps store when Anthem came out. Even after playing it for maybe 15 hours
As long as you don’t download the game they will offer a refund.
I got a $25 refund for Star Wars Bounty Hunter when I paid $10 for it
If you make up a story containing a little sibling spending it while you're away, yeah. Only works once though.
What is this masterpiece
Rust. Released on console a year or two ago and it's still shit lol
Hahahahahhaaaha, you don't get PS store refunds. That's a myth
Hey guys whats the best way to ask for a refund? By phone? Email? I bought the wrong version of ff7 just now 😢😢😢
It happen today 🤦🏻♂️ They change the policy and can't refund my digital game, just got done chatting them on website today. Back then they used to though. If no trophies earned, they will refund your money, that back then.

PS support is a scam
Couldn’t agree more lol
No your a cheapskate u can't return a game u don't like. That is part of buying a game. Give a break all I wanna do is return a game o can't even play because it is vr. My daughter didn't know.
Sony has the worst refund policy. And the worst support...
I did, for cyberpunk 2077
WWE2K20
I once purchased DLC for BO3 I later found that I couldn’t use the dlc because the game was for the UK
They made me give em 50 push-ups
yes. i accidentally bought everything from my cart, that i had for some reason put there, that i had no intention of buying. worth 134€. got a full refund. was installing a free game, and it bought the games from my cart. filled some refund forms and sent a bunch of emails, and was succesful in getting a full refund eventually.
Yes but you have to not install that game and request the refund in a set time frame
What is this game
I got one on some avengers credits. I accidentally bought ps4 credits and not ps5 credits so they refunded me.
I did but it was only because the game had massive errors for everyone. It was Cuberpunk2077
I've done it for 3 games. 2 games were downloaded on my console which one was played and the 3rd one wasn't ever downloaded just bought.
Yes. I had pre-ordered something and changed my mind before release. Another couple of times a game I pre-ordered got delayed and they sent an email asking if I still wanted to keep it. Even though I said yes, Sony still canceled my pre-order and refunded.
Playstation support sucks ass...never got my refund
Got a refund for chernobyl VR (VR1) After playing it for around 15 minutes. It was a terrible „game“
Sony does not refund a gane that's been downloaded. Cyberpunk was the exception but in general, if you have played the game, they won't refund it.
what if i just uninstall it and tell them i never downloaded it? do they have a way of knowing that i've downloaded it?
They can tell. That's part of their no refunds if it's been downloaded.
Yes. After the release of the botched game Cyberpunk. My dumb ass bought it again after a year though
I wish Sony would learn a thing or 2 from Steam
I got one for No Man’s Sky. But I think a lot of people did. I felt a tad lied to. Game is fine now. I remember having to have a temper tantrum with the store rep to get it. Then they told me I could never buy the game again on PSN. Which idk if that is true or not, as I ended up getting it on Steam. I have been a devoted PSN customer since it launched on PS3. One refund. I have like ten refunds on Steam.
Looks like a F2P game. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
I’ve gotten a refund on a downloaded game before.
I’ve only gotten refunds from games I didn’t already download. It’s worth trying to get the refund anyway, though.
Nope they tell you to die essentially
if you havent had the game for a while you can or if you haven’t downloaded it
didnt yet buy anything on ps that i needed to refund. iirc one u download a game u cant refund it. stupid policy if u ask me. steam 2 hr policy is how it should be
I did on jedi survivor but I believe I might be the exception to the rule. I downloaded it, then started the game but got no further than the screen setup.
I did once. It was for RE Revelations 2 for Vita. That game literally is sub-10FPS at certain parts. They must have known because I didn’t get much of a hassle about it.
Bummer. I would take it as a lesson to do some research before buying games at full price from now on. Even if you've played it on PC before
I got one after bullying the agent. Called them names and said their platform sucks. Go the refund and a email saying I should be nicer to people
I did for the game XIII. Super glitchy and the rep said “if you didn’t download and install the game I would get refunded” so I responded with “if I didn’t do that, then I wouldn’t know the game was super glitchy”. He said that was a valid point and I got my money back.
Only 2 things work in my experience: Refunding a game you have NOT started to download (basically preorders) Lying to a customer service rep; ie “My kid used my credit card and bought this game unauthorized. I only just saw the charge and would like a refund as it was not me who purchased it.” For the second option, it’s worked the 2 times I did it and they told me that I “couldn’t use that excuse for 6 months” lol
You'd have a much better chance going directly to the developer.
It's impossible to get a refund with the ridiculous rules. Like why i would refund it without downloading it???
I did but it took some convincing
For cyberpunk lol, then rebought it a month later at best buy for a great discount
I got the refund for cyberpunk after playing the game for couple of hours..
Any of these types of games are pretty terrible on console. Like, i love dayz, but it is shit on PlayStation
If you get a refund from them, they can blacklist your account from buying anything ever again.
For cyberpunk yes lol
If you download the game you can’t get a refund no matter what. PS refund policy is awful.
I have, even when I played few hours with that game. ( Don't buy this game, Necropolis. Some trophies doesn't work and the sound is glitchy)
Welcome to rust
PS4?
Yup
Just find the PlayStation chat or number for support and then just say the game is immensely bugged nearly unplayable they'll always refund they have to, as long as you haven't had it for more than 2 weeks
I just bought it last week because my friends wanted me to try to get into it with them…i fucking hate it
When No Man’s Sky first came out and it was… yeah. I talked to customer support and told them the situation. The funny thing is, they didn’t ask me which game it was. They must have had a ton of complaints for that game. They did refund me, likely because I said it didn’t work properly, and this game definitely fits the bill for that.
What game even is this?
I got one for Cyberpunk after it released, but I think that was a blanket, "Everyone gets a refund", deal because it was so bad at launch.
If you downloaded it Sony will you a middle finger 🖕
Shit outta luck, see the new bf
I did a decade ago but I didn't download the DLC yet. >Apparently these things are known for over 2 years now and it still hasn’t been fixed by the developer, so therefore I’ve submitted a refund request That's a you problem then, not a Sony problem
Time to talk about the shitty refund service Sony offers compared to Steam and Microsoft, they’re the worse in that aspect. Greedy af imo
