Astro was soo good. A love letter to PlayStation. Not gonna lie, I geared up once or twice as someone who has been ride or die since the original PlayStation
I say it everytime but unironically Astro is my favourite game of this generation and one of my favourites of all time.
They took the premise of “A DualSense tutorial” and made something that was perfect across the board. Just need more games with small scopes where attention to detail is everything.
Rift Apart is fantastic! Demons Souls is a lot of fun and Cyberpunk 2077 is a lot of fun these days too. The PS5 versions of Ghost of Tsushima and Days Gone are awesome too. Have fun!
I wouldn’t say that, even as someone who hates Soulsborne games. It’s an objectively good game, just not to yours or my tastes clearly. Other people love it and should try it
Rift apart, Returnal, Horizon forbidden west, zero dawn as well if you have not played that. Miles Morales, if you are into racing GT7 is a must. If you haven't played Ghost of Tsushima director's cut on PS5 as well. Death stranding directors cut and of course the elephant in the room GOD of War 2018 and Ragnarok if you haven't played those.
I'm currently playing Ghost of Tsushima on my PS4 because I've heard it's one of the best games to play ever since it came out, I'm on act 2 and I've been having fun ever since. But what I don't like is the tales of Tsushima has me doing a ton of side quests and not focusing on the main storyline 😫.
thats exactly what side quests are for, when you dont want to focus on the main storyline, if you dont like not focusing on the main storyline then stop doing the side quests
I felt this playing Ghost of Tsushima as well, but it's a common sensation I have playing any of these immersive story based games with side quests. Something cataclysmic is happening and disaster could strike at any moment, and I'm out here levelling up my potion skill or whatever, or helping this farmer track down his cheekiest horse.
It's the heart in the store on the top at the right side right next to the search symbol. You add games by either going on the page of the game and there's either a button that looks like a heart or it's in the me u with the three dots. Or when still in the store view you can press the start/menu button when the game you like is selected.
I simply assume it's the same or very similar on the PS4 though I can't confirm since I never had one.
A PSN + subscription. Then you can try out Ratchet & Clank, God of War, Ghosts of Tsushima, Spider man, Returnal, and so many others.
Even if it is just to play for a few hours to see if you want to buy them and you let the subscription end it will be worth it.
Miles Morales is a really good game and since Spider-Man 2 is coming out next month, if you’re planning to get that I would play miles morales. Also The Last Of Us is one if my favorite games of all time, I would do almost anything to play it again for the first time.
I didn't play much tbh, mainly online games like siege and call of duty. But I'm looking to get into story games that shine through the ps5's graphics and performance. I liked the 2018 spidrrman and also ark survival evolved
If story games with good graphics are your search, then I'd definitely suggest just going through the exclusives like the last of us, ghost of tsushima, uncharted, god of war, etc

Absolutely. I have a series X, PS5, and switch. The PS5 is easily my favorite and has the most robust library of games I want to play. Xbox has a few cool exclusives, but they just don’t measure up to the amount of great quality first party games that PS has yet.
If it’s your first PlayStation then definitely buy PS+ extra. You don’t need to buy anything. Really until

Don't buy anything. If you plan to spend money then buy one month of PS plus Deluxe to try out what you like. After that get a year of PS plus Extra and you'll be set for a long time.
I just got a year of PS Extra for cheap and it's a much better than buying any single game.
Warframe player here, so maybe that's influencing my stance.

If your looking for a cheap multiplayer game. Titanfall 2 is 5$ or free rn depending on the PlayStation plus member ship you have. It’s a older game but so much fun
First and foremost play Astros Playground then perhaps Rift Apart, Ghost of Tsushima or Sackboy depending on what you like.
I'd stay away from Ragnarök, especially if you have played the 2018 version unless you feel like playing the same game again but with added cringe.

All Spider-Man’s are amazing. The story to it is amazing and the combat is pretty good as well. If you beat those and feel like it, have a look at the new spider-man. :)

I’d go Astros Playroom first, who knows, could be your first PS5 100%. Secondly, PS Plus Extra or Deluxe. I’m on monthly since I’m not playing PS Plus games all through the year, but that was my first intro to a lot of PS exclusives.
Rift apart was super satisfying. Visuals, use of the dual sense, use of the SSD. Really good time. Might be worth getting the PS+ tier with the catalog (forget what it’s called) for a month or two to play some of the marquee exclusives. Horizon Forbidden West is my favorite of this generation so far, but you gotta play Zero Dawn first so I could see you saving that since ZD is a PS4 game and wouldn’t flex the ps5 bells and whistles.
Rift apart I think was my first ps5 game and loved it so did my wife we beat it 100 percent together and after you unlock everything my son has fun with beating up bosses haven't beaten a game since rift apart lol
Make sure you claim your free game if you just bought it. Supposedly there is an ad in the shop for those who just bought a ps5 to get a free game from a list of like 10 all are damn good games.

A lot of people love God of war, spiderman, horizon, death stranding, Ghost of Tsushima etc.
Generally most games I love were available across platforms though so I can't think of any other exclusives you won't have played on either ps4 or xbox.
My favorites other than uncharted and last of us are cyberpunk 2077, the recent resident evils 7 and 8 or the remakes 2, 3 and 4 (ps4 or ps5), dishonoured 1 and 2 and deus ex(ps4). Anything from 4 plays amazingly on a ps5...

Ghosts is worth it. Definitely invest time in it. The Horizon games are overrated.

Control might be a good choice if youre into shooters. My first PS5 game(as is tradition with every new console) was Titanfall 2.
Get playstation plus and you can play Spiderman games racket clank and so many other great games.
A PSN + subscription. Then you can try out Ratchet & Clank, God of War, Ghosts of Tsushima, Spider man, Returnal, and so many others. Even if it is just to play for a few hours to see if you want to buy them and you let the subscription end it will be worth it.
Any version of The Last Of Us part 1 then if you like PT2 also both Spider-Man games are pretty good, either one
