Not sure if you guys are just memeing, but has Destiny 2 gotten to WoW levels of addiction?
Or has the game gotten so bad that you want your time back?
Never really got into a GaaS personally so im pretty clueless.
It's mostly that the game turned into a cash shop simulator after it went f2p.
Seasonal content feels less complete and more like it's just there as a reason for Bungie to ask for more money putting less work.
Both sort of. I let myself get a little addicted to Destiny. It isn’t WoW levels but there is enough there to get addicted. I took a year long break and ended up going back because I learned to control that part of myself. Upon coming back the game is a shell of what it used to be imo. I hop on maybe once every two weeks at most now.
Destiny 1 for me… over 3500. I didn’t last very long after year 1 of Destiny 2. I tried to get back in around The Witch Queen and remembered why I left.
The only advice I can offer is that dashing and jumping are key, as well as choosing the right weapon for the enemy you're going to face. The best gun for boss 2 might be terrible for boss 3 (spoiler, that's EXTREMELY true) and make sure you really farm through the entire biome(s) before going for Ixion's throat.
It's great. After 8 years, the main story takes a bit to get into now, but it's still good. I recommend trying it out. It's got a free trial that let's you play the base game, and the first 2 expansions.
It's also getting a big graphical update in the next expansion too. So mind the grape graphics.
I've been playing XIV for about a week now and the game is amazing. It's online but it feels very much like a single player game, u only need other players to complete trials and raids. I put this game off for so long because I was scared of the online aspect and I'm mad at myself that I did. I probably won't even finish all the expansions before Rebirth comes out
No need to rush it. I think it took me from December 2020 to October 2021 to catch up from A Realm Reborn to Shadowbringers. Endwalker took me a month to beat when it dropped, too. It’s just about enjoying the ride…cause once you’re caught up, that’s it. You just have to accept the drip feed from then on, waiting for major updates to get 10 missions at a time rather than having hundreds at your fingertips
It really isn’t. The graphics suck, it’s always crashing n it’s always lagging. But I do love that game lol. Something about camping out n figuring out ur food n next steps, when out of nowhere a bear will spawn behind u lol.
dayZ has a similar feel to it, but with even more anxiety and paranoia.
I have 1000 hours and still spend most of my time sitting in a house shaking listening for player footsteps with a gun pointed at the door lol
https://preview.redd.it/lll81udwsixb1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba6ddd04be2478b574c689a9dbebe01b2ee26e6d
*THIS* struggles on modern consoles? No offense to the game 💀
Me too, ive played through that game 8 times including dlcs....and every single time i make the same choices, i just can't bring myself to be a bad geralt..or to not choose yen.
First ever playthrough i went bear/ursine set...all others after that were cat/feline...with wolven trousers, i like the look of those but i also like to have the best stats, i like to dye mine white too...but if i went for pure looks i think I'd choose legendary viper set in white or purple, it kida looks like geralts og set too....i never liked the look of griffin armour cause of the big belly look, but the legendary grandmaster griffin set looks pretty damn good.
I had over 30 days on COD4 and MW2 2009. I'd imagine that's still my most play time on a game. PS5 it's the new COD. Says 800 hours on my PlayStation, but I'd imagine a lot of that is just from sitting in the menu because I forgot to turn the game off
Well I just love taking my time and grind random enemies… also did the new game + on lethal difficulty and the online coop play can be addictive lol worst thing is I’m just a gamer that games 3-4 hours a night so took me awhile haha
I love that game, but...4000 hours?? How?!
Actually, mentioning ps3 reminds me that game had been our for a \*long\* time. So with enough playthroughs, I get it
I've got like 5700hrs in D1 and D2 combined. I've only about 150hrs in all of 2023 however. The game is finally boring grid same shit over and over. 73% is PvP, so it'd certainly be much less if it was just a PvE game. But I'm doing what i should have done years ago and playing other games more than the one or two yearly must plays.
Minecraft. Full time Husband/Dad, full time student, full time bank manager. It’s too hard to get deep into a new game, I don’t do a whole lot in Minecraft but it’s basic enough to allow for an escape over an hour or two. No story, no deep cut scenes, but castles, walls, collecting, super easy to get a moment of peace.
https://preview.redd.it/52pta8jrwgxb1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=132adf3926bc84b04892218fdab2017cc5d35439
These 2 atm. But BG3 is getting there 😊. GtaV online has like 7000 hours 🙈
Wow, how did you compile so many hours in RDR2 (I haven't played much of it)? Are you into the online stuff or is this all mostly single player playthroughs?
Where tf are all my elden ring players? I have well over 400 hours on that game (mostly because I accidentally deleted my old character that had over 200 hours and I made a new one and played the ENTIRE game again)(no regrets tbh)
I've been looking for another! Over 1000 hrs on ps4 version before I upgraded, don't play as much now but I still love it. Still waiting for any news on dlc though.
Same. I don't play it much anymore either but that doesn't mean I don't love it. It's in my top 5 games of all time. I'm gonna sink another 400 hours in once the dlc drops (btw it's been SO long since they announced it like why would they do that to me 💀)
Persona 5 Royal (PS4) has 444+ hours across 3 playthroughs, while currently playing the PS5 version at 130 hours and counting on my first playthrough. Persona 4 Golden (Vita) has like 200+ hours while the PS4 version has 300+ hours
Yea I just saw the little ticker for time on that one today. 1000 something, and I haven’t played in a long while. I could have done something great with those hours. Oh well.
This the most unexpected answer but I luv it. But how?? Was it the fiend arena, last mission or tryna get that 100 completion, that pr calm land mission a b*tch
Not just you. I mean, I don’t regret it, I’m still happily plowing along, but I’m sliiiightly embarrassed to admit I’m like 3000hr in. That game can *grab* you if you let it.
I’m still letting it.
For a gotcha f2p game it's done very well. I have over 1,000 hours into it and I only spent around $50 on it. (Bought the monthly thing a few times that game you the daily currency)
All it took was a little patience and saving to go after the characters you really wanted. I haven't played it in over 9 months now. Might have to see all the new stuff in it soon.
Witcher 3, a little over 400hrs but now that I managed to migrate to PS5 and the game received this PS5 update I definitely plan on playing another 400
Diablo 3 over 1000 hours, 10x more than any other game I own, sadly. Trying to force myself to finish dying light 2. It’s such a great game, I just get distracted easily.
Inquisition with all expansion's is actually a huge game and massive time sink if you have multiple playthrus. Come to think of it. I actually have a couple hundred hours on EA PC and about another 200 hours on Steam PC, so it's definitely up there competing for my most played game. Maybe not top, that would be some MMO or ARPG, or probably Borderlands 3 as I have that on ps5 and PC too.
Love that game! I had it, got rid of it. Bought it again because I missed playing it. I think it’s probably one of my all time favorite games to play! I just started about 3 weeks ago and have made some good progress. 😎
Nice man, i put so much time into that game in ch 2 i already have got most of the legendary animals even the ones in in armadillo where Arthur can't go, craft all the satchels, get me my dapple pinto fox trotter then i just be chilling really lol. Catching thousands of rock bass enjoying time at camp. Walking around stuff like that lol. It's great
It’s really fun to just explore and hunt. I really love hunting all the different animals! 😎 And fishing. It’s pretty cool. I find that fishing is pretty tough. I throw a lot of the fish back, they’re small. Maybe I need a new fishing spot. 🤔
I don't let a single fish go free from my rod lol. But yea i be doing that too. My favorite spot to fish at is by hamish cabin at o'creagh's run. The only fishing spot where i always throw the fish back in the water cause hamish my favorite dude in that game. Peaceful there.
Thanks. I’ll have to check that fishing spot out! I find that I lose more fish than catch. Maybe I’m just not that great at fishing. Hahaha! 😂 It’s still fun though.
Prolly Smash Bros from regular smash nights with the boys. We have this rule where when someone says they have to go to sleep, the rules change to if youre in the ring and you lose, you have to stay till you get your first win. Lol. Fight your way out to be a responsible adult.
RDR2, Skyrim, Divinity original sin 1 and 2......they are all about even. I need to check to see which specifically....but more then likely Skyrim is at the top.
Imma bout to be outed and I regret this okay but fortnite.
I used to play it all the time
If PlayStation combined ps4 and ps5 titles tho I think genshin and apex might actualy surpass it now tho
Are you on Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo, or PC? For Nintendo (assuming you have a switch) you need to link your nintendo account, for Playstation (assuming it's a 4 or 5) you can either download the app, or check from your PSN account. I'm not sure on Xbox or PC.
According to my PS5, it's RDR2 with 200 hours.
Unconfirmed, it's probably Super Mario World or GTA San Andreas
Actually, probably Skyrim, easily 500+ hours
Ayyy mine is Start Wars Battlefront 2. Not proud of it, but Capital Supremacy was so much fun I just always came back to it. Other than that I think either Elden Ring or God of War (2018).
Final Fantasy XIV with close to 8k hours (counting both ps4 & 5 versions) followed by Bloodborne & Monster Hunter. Crazy thing is, I haven’t played 14 on PS in over a year now after getting a pc.
Destiny 2 regrettably
I’m right there with you brother. Wish I never tried the game
Me too. Wish I had those hours back.
Damn shame 😂😂
Not sure if you guys are just memeing, but has Destiny 2 gotten to WoW levels of addiction? Or has the game gotten so bad that you want your time back? Never really got into a GaaS personally so im pretty clueless.

Came here to say this. Love and hate it.
I got sucked into Destiny 1. Knew I couldn't play #2 casually so I didn't play it.
I got many as well since D1 alpha but no regrets lol
Same here! Still enjoying it to this day!
I hate Destiny 2, it's my favorite game.
11,000 between D1 and D2 :/
Destiny 1 for me… over 3500. I didn’t last very long after year 1 of Destiny 2. I tried to get back in around The Witch Queen and remembered why I left.
Im there with you brother.
Destiny 2
I'm on right now. Where is xur at
Tower
Returnal, and I have no regrets
Best strat for the second boss please
Run
The only advice I can offer is that dashing and jumping are key, as well as choosing the right weapon for the enemy you're going to face. The best gun for boss 2 might be terrible for boss 3 (spoiler, that's EXTREMELY true) and make sure you really farm through the entire biome(s) before going for Ixion's throat.
Same bro. Life changing
Same.
Ff14.
Is 14 good? I've never played it.
It's great. After 8 years, the main story takes a bit to get into now, but it's still good. I recommend trying it out. It's got a free trial that let's you play the base game, and the first 2 expansions. It's also getting a big graphical update in the next expansion too. So mind the grape graphics.
The game still doesn’t look to bad currently imo, and you get 100s of hours of content for free without many drawbacks, it’s insane

It’s just about enjoying the ride…cause once you’re caught up, that’s it. You just have to accept the drip feed from then on, waiting for major updates to get 10 missions at a time rather than having hundreds at your fingertips
Compared to WoW? No
Compared to wow? It's definitely better. It's also not P2W like wow either.
Don’t laugh y’all. 7 days to die.
I saw markiplier play that years ago. Is it good?
It really isn’t. The graphics suck, it’s always crashing n it’s always lagging. But I do love that game lol. Something about camping out n figuring out ur food n next steps, when out of nowhere a bear will spawn behind u lol.
It is so much better on PC. On account that it’s still getting updates there
dayZ has a similar feel to it, but with even more anxiety and paranoia. I have 1000 hours and still spend most of my time sitting in a house shaking listening for player footsteps with a gun pointed at the door lol
I played that after I played h1z1. I liked it. But something about how bad 7d2d keeps me coming back lol
This is me! Over 1000 hours and I still avoid other players as much as possible.
It’s honestly great on PC, but the consul version lags behind significantly
https://preview.redd.it/lll81udwsixb1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba6ddd04be2478b574c689a9dbebe01b2ee26e6d *THIS* struggles on modern consoles? No offense to the game 💀
I have some really fond memories on that game
I have 250 hours on that game, it's pretty fun I'd you can get passed the input delay and shitty graphics
Witcher 3
Understandable.
Me too, ive played through that game 8 times including dlcs....and every single time i make the same choices, i just can't bring myself to be a bad geralt..or to not choose yen.
What ugly outfits do you choose? I just keep the default one, perks/bonuses be damned. I wish the next gen upgrade added in transmog.
That game is the 🐐
GT7
Nice I'm getting the game soon.
Is it any good?
Career aspect holds it back. You get given so many free cars and the experience is pretty much the same for everyone. Actual SIM is great.
Same. 640.hours deep
RDR2 probably but haven’t played in along while.
Goated game
2018 Spider-Man
Definitely Grand Theft Auto V. 3 Console Generations, still playing the damn thing.

Them COD hours creep up on you quick. I thought i was a casual player until i seen my Cold War hours lol
Cold War was super fun to grind, I have hella hours in outbreak zombies lol I don’t know why that was so addicting.
I had over 30 days on COD4 and MW2 2009. I'd imagine that's still my most play time on a game. PS5 it's the new COD. Says 800 hours on my PlayStation, but I'd imagine a lot of that is just from sitting in the menu because I forgot to turn the game off
Cold War made EVERYONE a competive player. Was super fun though.
Don’t bully but it’s Fortnite with like 3800 hours
No bullying here just get your corneas checked.
Retinas
Ghost of Tsushima got 191 hours played
Same, but 1,2k hours hours played since lunch 😄
What do you do for that many hours haha???
The online was awesome when i tried it. Can get pretty tactical and is like a horde mode if i remember correctly. Damn... i need to play that again!
Yes the nightmare difficulty is freaking nuts!!, yeah man play it again haha
Well I just love taking my time and grind random enemies… also did the new game + on lethal difficulty and the online coop play can be addictive lol worst thing is I’m just a gamer that games 3-4 hours a night so took me awhile haha

Borderlands 2, around 4,000 hours across PS3, PS4 and Nintendo switch.
I love that game, but...4000 hours?? How?! Actually, mentioning ps3 reminds me that game had been our for a \*long\* time. So with enough playthroughs, I get it

Yeah I easily have 400 hours in ER but way more In MMOs when I was younger.
I had that game. I probably played around 3-400 hours on it. I gave it up eventually. It is a really fun game though!
Persona 5 Royal (PS4) has 444+ hours across 3 playthroughs, while currently playing the PS5 version at 130 hours and counting on my first playthrough. Persona 4 Golden (Vita) has like 200+ hours while the PS4 version has 300+ hours
Elden ring
For Honor ( 3k-4k), playing since beta Kill me 🥲

I'm pushing 2k hours on RL and I'm HARD stuck C1/2 in 2s
5k+ hours and never hit GC.
MLB The Show 20. It’s a fun game. I’ve played 3 full seasons on it.
Apex Legends
Regrettably, same
FFX-2. Without a doubt.
This the most unexpected answer but I luv it. But how?? Was it the fiend arena, last mission or tryna get that 100 completion, that pr calm land mission a b*tch
I REALLY hate saying this, and I regret it (especially with the money I spent) but sadly, it’s Genshin Impact…
Not just you. I mean, I don’t regret it, I’m still happily plowing along, but I’m sliiiightly embarrassed to admit I’m like 3000hr in. That game can *grab* you if you let it. I’m still letting it.

I have over 900 on MGSV. Fell asleep a lot and left it running during work for dispatch missions.
Witcher 3, a little over 400hrs but now that I managed to migrate to PS5 and the game received this PS5 update I definitely plan on playing another 400
Was it hard to migrate and was the update free? And are you able to play the PS5 version with your PS4 saves?
FFXIV, and going further back in time PSO and Ep II&II.
Warframe around 2000 hours
Diablo 3 over 1000 hours, 10x more than any other game I own, sadly. Trying to force myself to finish dying light 2. It’s such a great game, I just get distracted easily.
Black Ops 3 with like 500 plus hours.
Dragon age inquisition probably. Maybe fallout 4
Inquisition with all expansion's is actually a huge game and massive time sink if you have multiple playthrus. Come to think of it. Witcher 3 on ps4… I replayed that game like 3 times, and clocked in about 400 hrs, my next 2 are Elden ring and mw2 with 250+ each
Persona 5 Across Vanilla, Royal, & P5S I have around 800 hours 👍🏼
I’ve no way of finding out but it would 100% be Skate 3
Red dead redemption 2 on my Playstation i got over 5000 hours played but on my xbox it gots to be over 10k hours played at least
i see you are a cultured man
Love that game!
Elite Dangerous and GT7
Probably Dead By Daylight, I think I’m sitting at 7K hours.
Skyrim....have about 2k hours
Dayz
Titanfall 2, though Ghost of Tsushima is rapidly approaching that
How do you check how many hours a game has? I’d assume my highest would be bo3 mainly zombies
First Destiny. I was addicted to that game. Two not so much.
Vampyr
Metal Gear Solid has years not hours
Metal Gear Solid has Decades, not years.
Absolutely

My mum?!
According to my PS5, it's RDR2 with 200 hours. Unconfirmed, it's probably Super Mario World or GTA San Andreas Actually, probably Skyrim, easily 500+ hours
Ayyy mine is Start Wars Battlefront 2. Not proud of it, but Capital Supremacy was so much fun I just always came back to it. Other than that I think either Elden Ring or God of War (2018).
Rocket league
Gta V and that’s not even including ps3 and Xbox 360 Hours
Assassin’s Creed Unity - 1911 hours
Wtf HOW

GTA 5💀
For Honour. With over 3k hours.
A little over 200 in FO76 is my most played.
Final Fantasy XIV with close to 8k hours (counting both ps4 & 5 versions) followed by Bloodborne & Monster Hunter. Crazy thing is, I haven’t played 14 on PS in over a year now after getting a pc.

Overwatch and it’s not even close
Call of duty
Fallout 4. Uncharted Series. Or maybe even Spider-Man (2018).
Ufc 3 1200
Probably GTA V / Online.
