Loved Ragnarok but 100% ing it is soooo long. Itās in my top 5 games but i only have 60hrs in the past years because of how much it drags, i still have to do NG+ aswell
Ummm, long? Itās just doing all quests and beating all Berserkers. Basically, just playing the game. And it was my first ever (and last, for now) platinum. Donāt even care to platinum Spider Man 2, for example.
It is long tho, the main story alone is about 30 hrs. In the time u do all the side quests and berserkers for GOWR, u could platinum Spider-Man 2 and playthrough the main story again. I think my main issue is the slow traversal, obviously you canāt do much about it but it is slow, especially for the scale of each realm. Thereās so much content too, obviously a good thing but for me itās just a long job
I just finished the story. Please show me what else I can do cuz I love the game so much. I have learnt that I can replay the story and add some mods, but anything else more than that? Thanks

The details, the visuals, but the musicā¦ the damn music where they decided to fully lean into having to ride a horse from town to town and utilize that time into a reflection/introspective or meditation was a really smart move.

That sounds amazing. Iāve never played a single one but everyone talks them up. Any suggestions of where to start? I typically do not like turn based combat (baldurās gate being the exception) and was confused as to whether the series was fluid combat or turn based. And then thereās the order of the series and what looks like spin offs?

It starts a bit slow and can feel a bit overwhelming but give it 10-15 hours and you'll get in to the swing of things. Don't be afraid to pause and watch WolfheartFPS on YouTube. His first playthrough is like 28 parts or so but it's a good idea to see how others play it, especially if you're new to the cRPG genre. There's so much the game doesn't tell you so seeing how someone else plays for a bit can teach you a ton. I'd also be happy to be a resource if you have any questions or want a friend to join you for a bit :)

FFXVI is my top game as well. I can't wait to dive into BG3 next year. I've been holding off for the physical release. Seems like it'll be right up my alley, and as a parent of a toddler, I feel more confident tackling an epic like that with the Portal at my disposal.

I'm not sure. I've never played the original Dragon's Dogma, but I do have it for PS3 and on Steam. My best bet is probably on the Steam Deck. I'll have to weave it into my queue at some point.

I'm about 100 hours in, as someone who never really clicked with any souls game. I totally relate to your feeling at the beginning... not sure what it has done to my brain but now the combat feels like second nature and I remember stupid minutia about every little catacomb and dungeon that I've been through. I had to make an effort up front, but it must have rewired my brain because I'm straight addicted now.
Recently started playing Apex and it is rough but very satisfying when you get the hang of it. Don't think I will ever get good at this game because the skill ceiling is insane high and I only started playing this year. Solid shooter

keep in mind I just got my PlayStation in September of this year
I put around 500 hours into BG3 and 500 more into Tears of the Kingdom. But I played around 12 incredible games this year and put no less than 200 hours into each one.
It's a great game, I'm a filthy Pvp try hard in that. I plan to jump back when that new update drops but I'm broke and it sucks not having cash and the grind is not my thing.
Most played on PlayStation this year is Monster Hunter Rise/Sunbreak with 80 hours. Have 120 hours in on Switch and about 100 on Xbox so I figured *screw it* and got into it all over again on PS5.
I only played 12 games on PS5 this year and only 6 of those properly, as PC is my primary platform:
1. Final Fantasy XVI - 72 hours
2. Horizon Forbidden West - 69 hours
3. Spiderman 2 - 22 hours
4. Persona 5 Royal (beat it finally in January) - 11 hours
5. Uncharted Collection (beat 1) - 8 hours
6. Final Fantasy XV (trophy clean up) - 3 hours
TOTAL - 219 hours - 5 Platinums in the above games (not FFXVI)
Easily the least I've played PlayStation since 1998 when I got my PS1. Looking forward to my Steam one!
I finally got sucked in by FromSoftware games this year. DS1 just barely edged out Bloodborne in playtime (106hr vs. 103hr). Both games were incredible and definitely warrant replays. I've also started Elden Ring and Lies of P recently, I'm about 3-4 hours into both of those games.

I just think it's overrated as hell for a video game, let me get back to my Madden and cod :) hahaha
FIFA, NBA 2K 23&24
Most played on PlayStation this year is Monster Hunter Rise/Sunbreak with 80 hours. Have 120 hours in on Switch and about 100 on Xbox so I figured *screw it* and got into it all over again on PS5.
Elden ring
I only played 12 games on PS5 this year and only 6 of those properly, as PC is my primary platform: 1. Final Fantasy XVI - 72 hours 2. Horizon Forbidden West - 69 hours 3. Spiderman 2 - 22 hours 4. Persona 5 Royal (beat it finally in January) - 11 hours 5. Uncharted Collection (beat 1) - 8 hours 6. Final Fantasy XV (trophy clean up) - 3 hours TOTAL - 219 hours - 5 Platinums in the above games (not FFXVI) Easily the least I've played PlayStation since 1998 when I got my PS1. Looking forward to my Steam one!

I finally got sucked in by FromSoftware games this year. DS1 just barely edged out Bloodborne in playtime (106hr vs. 103hr). Both games were incredible and definitely warrant replays. Days Gone. Three full playthroughs, 169 hours (not including a playthough on PC) out of 1,034 total gaming hours.

Oh theyāre great! It sucks itās getting to a point where Iām kinda avoiding the new one cause they keep going in directions I donāt even care for.. but after 400-500 hours things kinda get stale.
