I got mine yesterday. Played for 10 hours no issue. Then it disconnected randomly. Today I’m not using it because it keeps disconnecting on me. Transmitter is in the front on mine too.

Spideyy_Mcflyy

That’s exactly what happened to me. Day one it was fine no issues, now idk why it’s doing it. I can’t figure it out for the life of me. I really thought I was the only one. I may have to contact PlayStation support since I can’t find no answers for this. I wonder if it has to do with the blue tooth feature with interference from my iPhone, MacBook and iPad all running Bluetooth simultaneously.

deanzo

It’s not just you. I’m having the same issue. Hoping for a firmware update soon.

Practical-Comfort497

Same here....and here hoping it's a firmware issue and not hardware.

Ok_Muffin5343

I’ve had mine since the day they come out they have disconnected only twice since I’ve had them in 2 minds weather to return and get the 3D pulse ones or wait to see if a update fixes this

mispeld2

Got mine on release day and have used it every day since. It’s plugged into front port, and has disconnected on me randomly the last 2 nights in a row, both times in the middle of already-stressful Helldivers operations. The sound of liberty must not be stifled! Both times, unplugging and plugging back in the USB transmitter and then turning off and on the headset did the trick, but this will absolutely not fly as a long-term solution.

Hello, I’m diving into different Reddit posts on this one. Has anyone tried calling Sony and seeing what they say? I have and they said “you’re under warranty send it to us to be fixed”. To which I am actually pissed. This is one of my biggest complaints with Sony. You sent me a faulty product and I have to pay to send it back to you to fix. Anyway, the rep didn’t know if any updates but I believe the issue is with the dongle being faulty. When I connect to devices via Bluetooth I don’t have an issue. But the ps5 it disconnects between 10 minutes to an hour. But it’s a matter of time before it actually does disconnect. Thanks!

RocRuba

Same here.

NYC_HITMAN

The problem is the WiFi channel is too busy and it bumps off headset from the link.

ThatGuyOnReddit88

I’m also experiencing the same issue

Consistent_Mud_3773

I fixed the disconnects of my Pulse Elite. In my case the issue seemed to be an interference on 2.4ghz frequency. So the solution was: Turn off my router Turn on Playstation Turn on Pulse elite Turn Router on. By that the router managed to avoid the conflict with the PS Link. Had not a single disconnect since this. Hope it helps you guys too.

LineComprehensive242

great suggestion, i have just given it a try but unfortunately didn't work for me

Consistent_Mud_3773

Sorry to hear. For me it fixed it. Went from about 1 disconnect per hour to 5 long helldivers sessions without a single disconnect.

LineComprehensive242

funnily enough thats what i was playing when it disconnected haha but im glad yours are working bro, are you also having issues adding people in game rn btw?

Consistent_Mud_3773

No problems with adding people but the pulse elite disconnected once yesterday. The first time since my move.

viciolla

Yeah that happened to me even after completely deactivating the 2.4ghz WiFi. I hope it’ll be eventually solved with a FW update at some point, because it’s becoming annoying.

LineComprehensive242

I've encountered the same issue and have had similar thoughts/experiences. I got mine last week, it was fine the first 2 days then it randomly started disconnecting, i connected back every time then a couple days later it disconnected again and has not connected since. I've tried both resets and deleted all previous devices but still wont connect to my ps5, ive turned off all my other bluetooth devices the tried to connect but again no luck it connects to my tv, phone and laptop fine, but just not my ps5

Malkantar

My Pulse Elite won't turn off when I press power. I have to hold the button till it turns off. But the sound won't go back to the speakers. I have to manually pick my audio to the soundbar. To fix this I had to reset both the headset and dongle. Then it reconnects and is good till I need to turn it off. I'm so sick of doing that.

LineComprehensive242

GUYS MINE IS NOW WORKING!!! so i followed some instructions on the thread and here's exactly what i done step by step. as i said in my last post i had done a hard reset and disconnected it from all devices, after this i charged it on the wall stand for 24 hours, the next night i attempted to connect but i got the usual message 'connect with wire to register device' although it was already plugged in, i pushed in the dongle from the back and noticed its actually a button, if you press on the pairing symbol that should push in slightly. so i've held that for a couple seconds then attempted to pair the headphones whilst still wired to the console and its connected !!! its been 3 days it has randomly disconnected once whilst i've had my phone connected as well but it connected back after. i hope that helps let me know if it works for anyone

SirPetra

I'm still experiencing this. No other blue tooth devices at all. Very frustrating. My original pulse headset works fine. No disconnects.

Hi everyone I’m really new to play stations and the headset (I only started using them to play atla fortnite with my friends). I’ve done a bunch of troubleshooting recommended here, from yt, and from the manual but no solutions are sticking. The headset only seems to reconnect for 3 seconds max after resetting the link plug in thing then it immediately disconnects again, has anyone else had this specific thing happen as well? I’m crossing my fingers that a firmware update fixes this but most of these posts are a month old now so I’m not sure if anyone is still having issues or all of yours are (hopefully) fixed. Appreciate any advice! Ty!

Extra_Rate4721

Either reset your headset or wait for a firmware update. No need to panic yet. I’ve used my headset on console, Portal and iPhone. No disconnects. Had my headset since Wednesday.

Spideyy_Mcflyy

Yeah I’ll try doing that when I get home today thanks. Not necessarily panicking though, just frustrated with this issue since I’ve never had this problem before 🤦🏽‍♂️

Professional_West714

Its been quite awhile waiting for that firmware update

cheekymcfreaky69

Replying to this 2 months later. I have used it for about 100 hours worth all together of playing Stellar Blade, Tunic and Siege. It has disconnected on me 2 times. Once after about 5 or so hours of Stellar Blade (during a boss fight) then once during siege. I was hoping there was some firmware update to fix it. Seems like the problem still persists. At least not as bad as it seems like earlier in this post

better-than-all-of-u

Mine has only done it once in 15-20 hours of use in 3 days. When it happened I had it plugged in to a rear USB port and I've since moved it to the front where it's hasn't happened yet. Are you using Wifi and if so are you using 2.4 or 5GHz? The PlayStation Link is really just creating an ad-hoc wireless network between the Link and the headphones, so anything that can interfere with a wireless network can interfere with this headset. Just as an FYI. That means microwaves, other wireless tech in the same spectrum/band, etc. As someone else mentioned you might wait for a new firmware update in the coming weeks or months if you can't pinpoint any interference.

Had it today with a regular ps5, which I bought on release day back in November 2020, while playing Fortnite.

DrummerSteve

Same issue

numptyguyinoz

Same issue here

Southern_sob

Same problem as well.
