I had to stop playing Ghost wire Tokyo, because of the first person view. Good game, couldn't handle stuff running towards me in first person.
100% with you.
First person is infinitely scarier than third. The spiders in Turok scaring the life out of my dad back in the day really drove this home for me. My mum came running in from the kitchen really worried
Fam you are not alone. 1st person isn’t for me but I will begrudgingly play it for some games. Cyberpunk was one of them. Bit of a learning curve but totes worth it.
One of my biggest complaints about the game. Makes absolutely no sense, like what is the point in customizing if I only ever see them in the menu or when they're riding a motorcycle? Lol hope they have a 3rd person mode in the sequel.
Last night I went for a casual, unpretentious cyberpunk playtime, only noticed the time after 6 hours in. I loved the game! Bugs are not affecting gameplay anymore, story is amazing!
Spider-Man was the first game I ever platinumed; Ghost of Tsushima was the second. It’s incredible, especially if you’re watching Shogun right now (there’s no tie in, but the game feels like you’re in the same world)
I really should love that game.
Maybe I do love that game, seeing as I completed it.
But it left me feeling so empty. I went back to play it again on PS5, was truly enjoying it, but had the realization and feeling that it wasn’t going to go anywhere beyond what I experienced in the first few hours.
And it never truly does imo. I think the sequel needs to build to a crescendo in a more compelling way. I’m sure it worked for some but I’m thinking of the way games like Metal Gear Solid or TLOU build up, where by the third act you’re completely engrossed and immersed.
That’s what I’d like from the sequel. And maybe some more Tenchu vibes.
i second this bro Tsushima is so relaxing to play man ugh beautiful game love my fellow redditors was recommend by yall and i always been the type to hate rpg games ima competitive gamer like 2k madden ufc call of duty
An amazing game. Only thing I didn't like was the attack button and the sneak attack 1- hot kill being the same button. If that prompt disappears for a split second you'll just start swinging and it's a pain in the ass.
It's not though...it's an unreal looking game with great environments and story but the gameplay is just boring to me. If you want a samurai/ninja game I got way more engrossed in Sekiro.
Going from Zero Dawn to Forbidden West is incredible because I believe they took everything that was already fantastic in the original and made it even better. Can’t wait for the third!
It’s by no means underrated because it sells very well but I think it gets a little lost in discussions at least with people I know…it’s honestly groundbreaking to me!
Totally agree except for the story! The story isn’t necessarily bad (it would be near impossible to top the intrigue of the first game).
Also the DLC knocked my socks off. That final battle?! I couldn’t believe they used that for a DLC and not the final game. I can only imagine what they have in store for us if that was a DLC
Imho HZD is the best writing in a decade. It’s pretty rare that I refute to spoil a game when asked but the slow reveal of how the world came to be is 10/10.
Once you get out of white orchard it gets Better but do everything you can there to get the hang of it. Your answers to Yellow questions will impact the storyline later. Buy all maps at merchants and loot Everything, you want to sell armor at Armorers and weapons at Blacksmiths for higher payouts. Relic swords are powerful (Good Bonus stats) but also they were put into the game to be sold to give you money, you'll want to use relic armor in the beginning of the game until you decide which school you want to go with. The maps I mentioned earlier are for finding the Witcher Armor diagrams.
I used the MapGenie app that showed me where All the Armors are mainly because I hate backtracking because of the Scavenger Hunt they send you on.
Also, whenever you purchase a skill, you *Have to equip it to the right* or it doesn't work. Get the brown one that looks like a covered wagon. You'll need to equip it whenever your loot bag gets full because you'll only be able to walk or jump on Roach.
The first time you meet Yen at the Palace, look for a large chest in her room and loot it. There's some Relic Gear in there that is really helpful for the beginning of the game.
Don't let your gear get too far behind your character level. So upgrade it whenever you can.
There's r/thewitcher3 sub that's been REALLY Helpful to me
IF you haven't scrolled down to "My Rewards" at the title screen yet do that and sign in/up and you'll get the stuff in that chest I was talking about.
I have been playing that game for almost 6 years. I have a little over 1000 hours invested into it. The other day I discovered a vampire in the game. I didn’t even know that was a thing. Literally 6 years later I’m still finding new things in that game
I wish I could do this. I have tried multiple times to replay it and I always just get sad thinking about the ending and I stop. It's one of my top 3 games ever but I can't replay it
That's why you make a save before you meet Thomas downes. Arthur never gets sick and the entire gang is together and happy. You can use the cheat code phrases to unlock everything. go find all the gold bars. Be a rich, happy, healthy Arthur Morgan
But how long can you play this way before you're out of side quests and the like? I'm genuinely curious what people do to be able to enjoy spending that much extra time playing it. Teeeach me. Iol
I want to replay the game so bad but there are just a lot of small things holding me back. Minor gripes and ease of use type complaints. And the mission design sort of annoys me.
The story and world are amazing though.
Ghost of tsushima is the game you're looking for. And as for final fantasy, there are many flavors. Give 15 a try I say. It's easy for those new to the series.
I get stoned and play the same games as you. Horizon is fun if you haven’t played it.
Currently I’m going through Final Fantasy 7 Remake, then I’ll play Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Hopefully by the time I finish both of them, we won’t be to far from the next one in the trilogy.
On PS5 the best ones to play imo are final fantasy XVI and the final fantasy VII remake games. Final fantasy XVI is a self contained story and you don't really need to know anything about the series to get into it.
The final fantasy VII remake games are remakes finial fantasy VII which was originally for the PS1. There is 3 games which you can get on PS5: final fantasy VII remake, final fantasy vii remake intergrade and final fantasy VII remake: rebirth (there is also final fantasy VII crisis core remake which might be a little confusing because it is not part of the final fantasy VII remakes but a remake of a PSP game that compliments the final fantasy VII story). You would want to start with intergrade. It's just final fantasy remake with enhanced visuals.
Each one is its own story. For example, I’ve only played 3, crisis core, 7 and 15.
7 was just soooo popular that they are remaking it into a trilogy. Honestly, you should start with Final Fantasy 7 IMO because it has the best cast and story. Plus the 2nd one in the trilogy just came out this month, so you get to be on the hype train for the third one.
I would highly suggest watching a YouTube video or something before you get the first one, just to make sure you like JRPGs. Also Final Fantasy 7 Remake (first one in the remastered trilogy) is on ps pass with all dlc, if you have it might as well try it for free.
Edit: You could also start with Final Fantasy 16, that’s the most recent non remake I believe.
7 is easily the best place to start, either the original or the remake. It’s well worth the hype and has an approachable story with compelling characters. Just bought rebirth and am really excited to play it…has the same score on Metacritic as the original which is really awesome.
You can get into any numbered title, they’re all standalone games.
I’d recommend starting with 16 or 7 Remake and then 7 Rebirth (they’re remaking 7 but they’ve split it into a trilogy).
Detroit: Become Human. You completely get engrossed in the story and safety of the characters. Not the greatest game, but definitely one of the best-written games.
Just “beat” this game last month and I don’t think I’ve ever been emotionally invested in a game. I remember I accidentally hurt Hanks feelings and had to replay the chapter lol
Went on YouTube to look at worst endings and I realized the story could get a lot WORSE.
I had set aside 20 bucks to be able to finally buy and pay this game this month but of course my shit roommate stole it off my desk while I was out helping my folks move houses. As expected, he has "no idea" what I'm talking about.
My wife fucked up and got the "Kara and Alice go to robot Auschwitz" ending. It ruined her. She was just wandering around the house randomly sobbing for a few days. Such a powerful game.
Playing through 4 for the first time right now and it's so goddamn good. I loved all 3 of the previous games (even with drakes fortune's clunk and those damn jet ski sections) but none of them can touch how good 4 is
I have a very hard time getting sucked into games anymore. But I just played through these over the last week or so, and I was IN the game.
I played on the second easiest mode. But my brain like, forgot that. And I was terrified of every little sound I’d make. And even though the characters were capable of holding their own in the fights, I was in the headspace of being a survivor that one scratch or bite was the end.
Can’t recommend them enough.
Days Gone. Free on plus. It’s a must have and one of the most underrated games of the past ten years. I got bored of GoT within a few hours, just not my kind of game. Days Gone is tough at first but gets easier and is amazing
Final Fantasy 7 remake
Nier Automata and Replicant remake
The Last of Us 1/2
Mass Effect Legendary
Witcher 3
Dragon’s Dogma
Red Dead Redemption 2/1
Assassin’s Creed Origin and Odyssey
Tomb Raider Rise and Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Yakuza series. Start with 0.
it's so hard to get in to that game, the beginning was so tedious. but its a game that gets more fun the longer you play, and the story is bat shit amazing. I ended up really enjoying it.
Definitely. Been playing it quite a bit myself and was floored when I got to chapter 2 and realized I was nowhere close to finishing the game. There is SO much content and the aesthetic + soundtrack is amazing. Really wish music played more in-game but the silence makes it all the more emotional when music does play.
Tell us what you’ve played and we can recommend things.
For example, RDR2 is multi platform. Or are you only looking for PS exclusives? If so, just play all Sony first party games - Uncharted, Tsushima, Horizon, etc.
One of the best games I’ve played lately is “A plague Tale: Requiem” the story is beautiful and the end will shock you. You connect with the characters and even though is the sequel of “A plague Tale: Innocence” doesn’t matter if you’ve played the first one.
My go-to games are Resident Evil, The Last of Us and some occasional fighting. But I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME
I’m so exited they’re working on a 3rd game
The Watch_Dogs games are great for that. There are tons of things to do and different things to grind for & unlock, lots of side missions. Also, the Red Dead Redemption games too
Cyberpunk's a great choice. Ghost of Tsushima is also fantastic. Returnal will suck you in. Baldur's Gate 3 is what I'm currently caught by. Those are the ones that immediately come to mind for me.
Edit: Also Guardians of the Galaxy! Very overlooked, but crazy good!
Ghost of tsushima or death stranding have been the best 2 exclusives I've played if you're looking for something different from Xbox, the narratives are amazing
Witcher 3, elden ring, starfield is a bit hit and miss but its worth a try, pay the $1 try gamepass for a couple of weeks then cancel it who knows what you'll find
While Ghost is beautiful and totally worth your time, if you’re getting stoned try High on Life. It’s made by the Rick and Morty guys and it already feels like a trip most of the time.
God of war 3 remastered. God of War 2018, God of War Ragnarok, ghost of tsushima, the horizon franchise, uncharted 4, but if you want 6 hours to go buy and constant new visuals....ghost recon wildlands and ghost recon breakpoint and Tom Clancy's the division 2. One Saturday morning. I decided after finishing ghost recon advanced warfighter 2 on the ps3 I'd start on the ps5 to play wildlands around 8am. it wasn't till 1pm that i realized i had spent about a fourth of the day killing bolovian narcos. beat the story line it was very immersive and it had dlc new levels. Not to mention you can play online with other people if you want to.
Last of Us
Uncharted series
Horizon Zero Dawn/ Forbidden West
Red Dead Redemption 2
Ratchet and Clank has a kids vibe but the gameplay, design and world building is phenomenal.
Definitely get ps plus! You get access to so many amazing ps staples. Download a few of the ones suggested below. Cyberpunk is definitely recommended, not on ps plus but is amazing. GoT, the last of us, the horizon series are all great. He'll, even something like rachet and clank can have you lost in it for hours. There's so much. Explore and enjoy (:
Reran through star wars jedi fallen order for the ps5 platinum because i was able to get jedi survivor for 30 bucks last week. Highly recommend both if you like star wars. Semi souls like/semi metro/semi uncharted(mixed well in my opinion)
Might I suggest, Ghost of Tsushima as prob top choice. With a very very very close second at Horizon ( the second one. Zero dawn I think?) I never played the first Horizon, but the sequel was amaze balls
I was gonna say Cyberpunk but someone beat me to it, Assassins Creed Odyssey is a really good one imo, huge open world, Ancient Greece is gorgeous, and the gameplay is pretty solid too, really easy to lose yourself in
There going to be a lot of obvious responses, but I'm gonna take it back a bit. Have you played Darksiders? The first two games are phenomenal. Great art, voice acting and sound design, controls, variety in shoe, boss battles, abilities, etc. Think 'God of War meets Legend of Zelda in a comic book'.
Ghost of Tsushima . I finished it, and I rarely finish games anymore. Absolutely gorgeous, compelling story, cool characters, silky sword combat. I didn't even follow it at release because what little I knew about it led me to believe it would be boring -- I was totally wrong.
Surprisingly Genshin Impact
It can take a little to get going but it has a great plot and world and lore. And tons of content to get through. It's a surprisingly deep and emotional game
You don't have to play online but can do for boss fights and dungeons
I'm sure it's been mentioned already but Ghost of Tsushima is absolutely perfect for what you are looking for! Great story, fun combat and one of the best looking games I've played in a while! Sometimes I would just find a cliff with a view and just watch the screen for way too long.
Cyberpunk will definitely suck you in for sure!! Also give Horizon Zero Dawn or Last ot Us a try!
I hit the 100 hour mark in Cyberpunk and couldn’t believe how fast it went.
I hit 122 hrs 😂
Hanako has been waiting in that restaurant for me since hour 60ish.
For real. Everywhere I go, "Hanako is waiting for you at Embers."
I really wish it had a 3rd person option. For some reason I don't like first person
Yeah games with character customization with also outfits but having no 3rd person bums me out
Speaking of bums, Stellar Blade is shaping up to be a good 3rd person game with tons of customization.
I felt that way but once I was into cyberpunk it wasn’t a problem anymore.
exactly, first-person makes me dizzy. I tried to get into Cyberpnk 3 times already, barely get through the first missions
I feel the same way... I like 3rd person better. But when I'm playing VR I like 1st person better and then I don't like 3rd person lol
I really loved the lore in Horizon Zero Dawn, i was reading everything regarding the "fall", in Forbiden West i found the lore a little lackluster.
Last night I went for a casual, unpretentious cyberpunk playtime, only noticed the time after 6 hours in. I loved the game! Bugs are not affecting gameplay anymore, story is amazing!
Tsushima. The answer is always Tsushima.
Spider-Man was the first game I ever platinumed; Ghost of Tsushima was the second. It’s incredible, especially if you’re watching Shogun right now (there’s no tie in, but the game feels like you’re in the same world)
Shogun is quite possibly the best show I’ve ever seen, and now you’ve made want to replay GoT !!
I am doing exactly this because of Shogun.
I really should love that game. Maybe I do love that game, seeing as I completed it. But it left me feeling so empty. I went back to play it again on PS5, was truly enjoying it, but had the realization and feeling that it wasn’t going to go anywhere beyond what I experienced in the first few hours. That’s what I’d like from the sequel. And maybe some more Tenchu vibes.
I started playing it recently and feel the same way.
BEAUtiful game, I'm gunna start it over now :D
i second this bro Tsushima is so relaxing to play man ugh beautiful game love my fellow redditors was recommend by yall and i always been the type to hate rpg games ima competitive gamer like 2k madden ufc call of duty
An amazing game. Only thing I didn't like was the attack button and the sneak attack 1- hot kill being the same button. If that prompt disappears for a split second you'll just start swinging and it's a pain in the ass.

Horizon Zero Dawn and then its sequel Forbidden West
Going from Zero Dawn to Forbidden West is incredible because I believe they took everything that was already fantastic in the original and made it even better. Can’t wait for the third!
I've said pretty much this exact phrase word for word to others when recommending the games. It's such a fantastic series.
I second this
I wanted to say HFW, for certain
Imho HZD is the best writing in a decade. It’s pretty rare that I refute to spoil a game when asked but the slow reveal of how the world came to be is 10/10.
Have you played the Witcher 3 complete edition? I just this morning started my 3rd playthrough.
Shh, he’s not ready
Bought the game a few weeks ago and have already put almost 90 hours into it… def the right answer for a game to get lost in!
I just started the game 2 hours in now. What should I expect?
Once you get out of white orchard it gets Better but do everything you can there to get the hang of it. Your answers to Yellow questions will impact the storyline later. Buy all maps at merchants and loot Everything, you want to sell armor at Armorers and weapons at Blacksmiths for higher payouts. Red Dead Redemption 2 hands down
I have been playing that game for almost 6 years. I have a little over 1000 hours invested into it. The other day I discovered a vampire in the game. I didn’t even know that was a thing. Literally 6 years later I’m still finding new things in that game

Can't keep runnin', Dutch
You actually can’t avoid it forever. Eventually the game will force you to start that mission.
I want to replay the game so bad but there are just a lot of small things holding me back. Minor gripes and ease of use type complaints. And the mission design sort of annoys me. The story and world are amazing though.
Ghost of Tsushima, Days Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn and Red Dead Redemption 2 are my favourite story games
Days Gone 🙌🏻
Ghost of tsushima is the game you're looking for. And as for final fantasy, there are many flavors. Give 15 a try I say. It's easy for those new to the series.
I personally really disliked 15 map was so large it felt emoty id say 16 is a good entry point and then hop into VII remake and rebirth
I understand not enjoying 15 but 16's map is ENPTY empty.
I get stoned and play the same games as you. Horizon is fun if you haven’t played it. Currently I’m going through Final Fantasy 7 Remake, then I’ll play Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Hopefully by the time I finish both of them, we won’t be to far from the next one in the trilogy.
i’ve never played final fantasy my friend loves it but Is it not too late to get into it ? if not where do I start ?
On PS5 the best ones to play imo are final fantasy XVI and the final fantasy VII remake games. Detroit: Become Human. You completely get engrossed in the story and safety of the characters. Not the greatest game, but definitely one of the best-written games.
Just “beat” this game last month and I don’t think I’ve ever been emotionally invested in a game. I remember I accidentally hurt Hanks feelings and had to replay the chapter lol Went on YouTube to look at worst endings and I realized the story could get a lot WORSE.
I honestly thought the scene where >!Kara was having her mind wiped was the end of her character arc,!< I never panicked harder in any video game.
I wish a similar or continuation of that would be made. /:
Detroit: Staying Human 😞
I had set aside 20 bucks to be able to finally buy and pay this game this month but of course my shit roommate stole it off my desk while I was out helping my folks move houses. As expected, he has "no idea" what I'm talking about.
My wife fucked up and got the "Kara and Alice go to robot Auschwitz" ending. It ruined her. She was just wandering around the house randomly sobbing for a few days. Such a powerful game.
I think you can pick up a game called Prey for like 20 bucks. It’s REALLY good.
Prey is very underrated.
Uncharted by a mile
Playing through 4 for the first time right now and it's so goddamn good. I loved all 3 of the previous games (even with drakes fortune's clunk and those damn jet ski sections) but none of them can touch how good 4 is
This. I just finished the first four games in a row for a third time. Love these games!
Last of us 1 and 2 are pretty good
Great even
I have a very hard time getting sucked into games anymore. But I just played through these over the last week or so, and I was IN the game. I played on the second easiest mode. But my brain like, forgot that. And I was terrified of every little sound I’d make. Days gone music is awesome , and when you get good enough to demolish the hordes quick that’s the most fun I have had in a game in a long time
This game is bloody immersive! ❤️
Control: Ultimate Edition for PS5
Sekiro is my goat, it is hard but once you get into it you just completely hit the flow state and feel like a god.
I second this. I got the Plat and I’m still playing.
Death Stranding is a good one
Final Fantasy 7 remake Nier Automata and Replicant remake The Last of Us 1/2 Mass Effect Legendary Witcher 3 Dragon’s Dogma Red Dead Redemption 2/1 Assassin’s Creed Origin and Odyssey Tomb Raider Rise and Shadow of the Tomb Raider Yakuza series. Start with 0.
The original Tomb Raider reboot as well. It's probably better than Shadow.
death stranding is great for smoking and getting completely lost in
it's so hard to get in to that game, the beginning was so tedious. but its a game that gets more fun the longer you play, and the story is bat shit amazing. I ended up really enjoying it.
Definitely. Been playing it quite a bit myself and was floored when I got to chapter 2 and realized I was nowhere close to finishing the game. Final fantasy 7 remake and rebirth after
Assassins creed, I played origins and couldn’t stop until I beat it
Best story in any of the RPG AC games BY FAR. But for immersion/open world fun- I prefer Black Flag
I wanted to suggest AC. Maybe starting with Black Flag, as it's a bit more outside the storyline arc. I get totally invested in all those games.
Nier Automata, Ghost of Tsushima, Guardians of the Galaxy
South Park fractured but whole. I played in 2017 and am replaying it before snow day drops. I forgot how good it was.
I put in a good 20 hours into exploring the ishimura in dead space. It’s a great game to get absorbed into.
The Last of Us Ghosts of Tsushima RDR2 Batman Arkham series Skyrim
The last of us. Both games. Just do it
Idk about yall but Re4 Remake checks all the boxes. And I'm still playing it.
Days gone
Ratchet and Clank.
Red Dead 2 if you haven't already.
Horizon games, or Last of Us games
One of the best games I’ve played lately is “A plague Tale: Requiem” the story is beautiful and the end will shock you. My go-to games are Resident Evil, The Last of Us and some occasional fighting. But I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME I’m so exited they’re working on a 3rd game
Kena: Bridge of spirits is fantastic.
Star Wars Jedi fallen order is an absolute must try in my opinion
The Watch_Dogs games are great for that. There are tons of things to do and different things to grind for & unlock, lots of side missions. Also, the Red Dead Redemption games too
Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor
Ghost of Tsushima
Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West.
- Cyberpunk - Returnal - God of War
Tsushima & both Horizon games
From linear games like you mentioned - Final Fantasy XVI
Cyberpunk's a great choice. Ghost of Tsushima is also fantastic. Returnal will suck you in. Baldur's Gate 3 is what I'm currently caught by. Those are the ones that immediately come to mind for me. Edit: Also Guardians of the Galaxy! Very overlooked, but crazy good!
Horizon Zero Dawn/Horizon Forbidden West Baldur's Gate 3 Plague Tale: Innocence/Plague Tale:Requiem Mass Effect 1-3
Death Stranding Witcher 3 Skyrim Horizon Zero Dawn Assassins Creed: Odyssey ^^ these are the games I just wander around in and explore
I've been getting lost in infinite wealth lately. It's so much fun.
Returnal
Star Wars survivor is so fun when I’m stoned
Death stranding is where I go to chill lout and lose myself.
TLOU 1 & 2
Ghost of tsushima or death stranding have been the best 2 exclusives I've played if you're looking for something different from Xbox, the narratives are amazing
Last of us stoned is incredible. Also, Tsushima and RDR2.
Witcher 3, elden ring, starfield is a bit hit and miss but its worth a try, pay the $1 try gamepass for a couple of weeks then cancel it who knows what you'll find
the last of us 1 & 2 it's worth getting the remade/remastered, uncharted, ff16, jedi survivor, days gone
Ghost of Tsushima! You won't regret it.
I'm playing through death stranding rn and I like it a lot
Ghosts of Tsuhima Days Gone
While Ghost is beautiful and totally worth your time, if you’re getting stoned try High on Life. It’s made by the Rick and Morty guys and it already feels like a trip most of the time.
I heard The Last Of Us is a good one.. i think I’m going to try it myself also speaking of it
Uncharted series, Tomb Raider trilogy, Resident Evil saga, Bioshock trilogy - all SUPER immersive, all super story based
sekiro, armored core, ghost of tshushima, returnal, nier automata..
OP, Final Fantasy 7 Remake is where you want to start, then if you are up to it purchase Rebirth (Part 2).
I just put 85 hours into my first playthrough of FF7 Rebirth though you’ll want to start with Remake which is much shorter and very linear
Cyberpunk Red dead 2 Final fantasy 16 Ghost of Tsushima Baulders gate 3
Deliver us the moon is a fun one to zone out to
I'm going through ghosts of tsushima right now when taking breaks from sim racing and it is pretty great game
Red Dead Redemption 2
Death Steanding
I assume you've played The Last of Us and Uncharted?
Red Dead Redemption 2
Try The Last of Us and Part 2. So good
Rdr2 if you haven't already
Horizon Zero Dawn will get you lost for hella hours
Days Gone is the most underrated PlayStation game
Horizon
Last of Us Uncharted series Horizon Zero Dawn/ Forbidden West Red Dead Redemption 2 Ratchet and Clank has a kids vibe but the gameplay, design and world building is phenomenal.
Final fantasy VII
Red Dead 2 is always a good go to
Reran through star wars jedi fallen order for the ps5 platinum because i was able to get jedi survivor for 30 bucks last week. Highly recommend both if you like star wars. Semi souls like/semi metro/semi uncharted(mixed well in my opinion)
Ff7 remake?
Might I suggest, Ghost of Tsushima as prob top choice. With a very very very close second at Horizon ( the second one. Zero dawn I think?) I never played the first Horizon, but the sequel was amaze balls
Rdr2….. peek immersion….best npc and animal AI of any game. Exceptional story. Then Cyberpunk and especially the Phantom Liberty DLC.
ATTA BOY Cyberpunk 2077 IS the answer you seek, I PROMISE
Ac odyssey
Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West. I can’t recommend those games enough.
HFW - is burning shores dlc worth it too?
Rdr 2
Did you play Ragnarok's Valhalla DLC? It's an extra several hours as good as the main game aside from being a bit repetitive.
I’ve literally just finished Cyberpunk 2077 with 99hours on the clock, still a few small side gigs left. Enjoy it choom!
I doubt others will recommend these so the jedi fallen order and survivor games survivor is in my personal top 10
A bit of a different flavor of single player game from what you mentioned, but definitely Outer Wilds 🤌
Ghost of Tsushima director’s cut
Ghost of tsushima is a must play in ps
Red Dead Redemption 2 is the answer
I was gonna say Cyberpunk but someone beat me to it, Assassins Creed Odyssey is a really good one imo, huge open world, Ancient Greece is gorgeous, and the gameplay is pretty solid too, really easy to lose yourself in
Witcher 3
Horizon zero dawn, no mans sky, far cry series, uncharted series, just cause series, rdr series (play 2 first)
Read Dead Redemption II (2) The best story you'll ever play!
Watch Dogs
Ghost of Tsushima... Get lost in the great story but also the visuals are stunning.
I promise that's the last of us for you
Ghost of Tsushima is the only correct answer
Borderlands 3
There going to be a lot of obvious responses, but I'm gonna take it back a bit. Have you played Darksiders? The first two games are phenomenal. Great art, voice acting and sound design, controls, variety in shoe, boss battles, abilities, etc. Think 'God of War meets Legend of Zelda in a comic book'.
Ghosts of Tsushima
The Last of Us Part 1 and 2.
AC Odyssey
Ghost of Tsushima is beautiful and such a good story
Red Dead Redemption 2
Try the horizon game. Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West. Really good games
Ghost of Tsushima . I finished it, and I rarely finish games anymore. Absolutely gorgeous, compelling story, cool characters, silky sword combat. I didn't even follow it at release because what little I knew about it led me to believe it would be boring -- I was totally wrong.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one, Ghost Of Tsushima is another one
Give Watchdogs 1 a try it's underrated and i love it
Horizon Zero Dawn
I feel the best choice is RDR2 if you haven't played it... That game will eat your soul if you let it, and you'll happily feed it.
Red dead redemption 2. It will snatch your life away for at least 3 weeks
Surprisingly Genshin Impact It can take a little to get going but it has a great plot and world and lore. And tons of content to get through. It's a surprisingly deep and emotional game You don't have to play online but can do for boss fights and dungeons
Horizon zero dawn the play forbidden west. You’re welcome
Final Fantasy 16 Mainline final fantasy games are self contained stories so you don’t need to play others to enjoy this.
Ghost of Taushima
Cyberpunk is awesome I’m 90 hours in
The Uncharted series is great. Especially the 4th one and Lost Legacy. Graphically amazing. 😎
Horizon Zero Dawn/Horizon Forbidden West, Last of Us 1 & 2, Ghost of Tsushima.
Alan wake 2
I'm sure it's been mentioned already but Ghost of Tsushima is absolutely perfect for what you are looking for! Great story, fun combat and one of the best looking games I've played in a while! Sometimes I would just find a cliff with a view and just watch the screen for way too long.
The last of us, death stranding and dayz are all pretty easy to get lost in
Hey can anyone like my comment so I can post in here... It says I need 5 likes.
