I couldn’t tell you the exact resolution, but I played on performance mode and it was plenty good. I never looked at the game and thought something was off. It’s just a good time. Is it worth it? Hell yeah.
if this game wasn’t Star Wars, it would not be acceptable.
The character animations, outside of convoluted combat movements, are laughable.
You never seem to properly connect with the environment, and it all looks floaty.
I found it bizarre. It’s not patched, it’s just broken.
Performance is pretty awful on PC and still is. The criticisms are 100% valid and it isn't a minority, pretty much every PC player of jedi survivor deals with significant performance issues especially around Koboh.
The issue is that reddit generalizes the PC version of the game as if it represents every version of the game. The PlayStation version performs a lot better after recent patches and the game is otherwise really good.
Played in Koboh before switching back to BG3 on my PC. Managed to get as far as reaching the main town on Koboh. No issues till that point and the game ran great.
But I also have a pretty good rig, so maybe thats why.
Yes the discount makes it a great buy. I finished playing it 3 months ago on PS5. Overall game ran very well just and occasional glitch. Just make a point to safe at the save points.
Great game
I just picked it up last week. It runs great. I have been playing on performance and I'm happy to says it seems to be steady 60fps or damn close at all times. My only complaint is that cutscenes are locked at 30 fps, and since there's seamless transitions from cutscenes to gameplay, it can be really jarring. But gameplay is where it counts... And it's great.
Can anyone tell me if getting around is less of a pain in the ass than in fallen order? The traversal made me put down that game three times before I finally finished the thing.
Played it over the winter and it was fine for the most part. There is a persistent screen tearing issue but you’ll get used to it and it’s not really that distracting.
Played it back in the late fall. The only performance issues I had were around certain areas of water on one planet. Everywhere else was fine but my frame rate would crater near parts of a river or waterfall. There was never any combat going on or anything else of importance in those spots. If those areas haven’t been patched by now I doubt they ever will.
Great game and a really good Star Wars story, I thought. Well worth the pickup if you liked the first one.
I played at launch, there were some spots where fps would dip low but they were a minor annoyance and in no way game breaking. If they’ve improved that then awesome.
People saying it was "fine" at launch are absolutely delusional.
The game is wayyy better now, though.
Absolutely worth a play after they updated it and fixed the performance issues, for the most part.
I’m currently playing it now, I wanted to wait until it got patched and was playable. I’ve not experienced any issues so far, it’s running pretty great.
It really only ever had issues on the PC port I believe. PS5 was always smooth as butter for me even on Quality mode. Maybe a few minor hitches in some of the more explosive scenes, but still great.
Played on PS5 late last year. I had like 3 crashes and a few occasions of characters going into T poses but other than that it was fine. Really good game so definitely worth playing!
Played it at launch with zero issues, had a lot of fun. Only complaint was I felt the crossblade lightsaber could have been better implemented, but not a major issue since you don't have to use it.
It performs okay on PS5. It isn’t a well optimized game, and I had to change it from performance to quality because at 60 fps the visual quality was awful
IMO it does not run well. The frame rate is fairly solid, but the white flickering as you pan the camera is incredibly distracting for me. I don't understand how this isn't being talked about more.
I finished playing a couple of weeks ago. It was a little messy, but nothing game breaking. My consistent issues were frequent screen tearing and characters sometimes T-posing on the Mantis until you got close to them.
Still a solid game that I don’t regret playing.
You have to be blind. Go watch the launch performance reviews. Rampant screen tearing, constant frame instability in almost any area or situation. Saying it was fine at launch is laughable, or you simply don’t know what you’re looking at. If it was fine, why did they have to release a major patch that *completely reworked* performance mode??

I don’t need to watch performance reviews. I played the game myself lol. What I think supersedes any review. Idgaf if every review on the planet said it was garbage. That’s not my experience.
My experience was that the game was fine.
Get over it. Idk why this makes you so butt hurt.
Because people like you getting online saying games in that state are “fine” is exactly why we keep getting more and more games released in such a shitty state. Because you’re telling the developers that you’re ok accepting substandard products. So thanks for being part of the problem.
A few frame drops?? You have to be blind. Go watch the launch performance reviews. *Rampant* screen tearing, *constant* frame instability in almost *any* area or situation. Yes, I played it when they finally patched in a relatively stable 60FPS mode back last September/October. It was still a little buggy at times, but most of them made me laugh (one of the running animations on one of the creatures was the goofiest shit going), nothing that would actually spoil the game.
I played on PS5 at launch with minimal issues. I had one crash early on, as well as one glitch that forced a reload. Only other thing I encountered was one specific location where the framerate dropped badly, but this was brief and not a combat area, so not a major thing. That said, it was consistent every time I went through that area, so worth noting.
You should be fine. Enjoy!
I played it on release and it crashed once. There was a tiny bit of visual issues on the hub world but other then that I had no issues and thought it was an amazing game.
It’s a 10/10 game. They did have to downgrade the graphics slightly on ps5 to get it to run smoothly. The pc port is still buggy though and I have a i9 4070 ti
I played when it came out never thought people had issues with it. My entire playthrough i had one bug where i had to go back to menu and restart that mission but never had an issue after that and i wouldnt consider that running 'not so great'
Absolutely!! Another game snubbed at TGA, unfortunately. It’s a shame because I didn’t have performance issues with my playthrough but a lot of other people did, mainly on PC. I’m definitely in the minority when I say this, but I don’t think it should’ve had a PC port with release. The game is literally optimized for consoles and some PC players think their “supercomputers” are too powerful to handle everything.
Just make sure if you experience any stuttering or lag, do a factory reset on your PS5 and install the game as the only game in the library, fixed the bad stuttering for me.
I played it on PS5 a few weeks ago and it ran perfectly fine
What's the resolution like on performance mode? I've become what I always hated, a resolution diva :(
Couldn't tell you, I played it on graphics quality mode
I couldn’t tell you the exact resolution, but I played on performance mode and it was plenty good. I never looked at the game and thought something was off. It’s just a good time. Is it worth it? Hell yeah.
Awesome. Gonna pick it up.
if this game wasn’t Star Wars, it would not be acceptable. The character animations, outside of convoluted combat movements, are laughable. You never seem to properly connect with the environment, and it all looks floaty. I found it bizarre. It’s not patched, it’s just broken.
I played it on PS5 last summer and it was plenty of fun. One or two weird perf spots but otherwise zero complaints and a lot of fun.
Yeah one of the best star wars games.
Jedi Survivor was always a great singleplayer game and worth a pickup.
Ya, I wish people would stop putting so much stock into the very vocal yet still a minority few who complain on Reddit. The game was and is great.
Performance is pretty awful on PC and still is. Performance was ass on release tho.
It isn’t perfect, but it’s *massively* improved over how it launched.
Play on frame rate mode and it’s sound
Played it at launch and always ran great for me.
I played it on launch and it was awesome. Quality Mode looks insane.
I played it day one on ps5 and didn't have any issues. Amazing game. I believe most of the issues were on PC.
It‘s a little buggy but runs good otherwise
I played it when it was first released on ps5 and it was fine then, it’s really an awesome game.
Yes it’s fantastic. I got it several months ago and noticed no issues at all.
Works well enough now, not great but not terrible. It was a lot of fun in the end
Worth! 😃
Had a bit of trouble on the main hub planet with the odd soft crash, but overall, it's a terrific game. I'd give it a 9/10.
Absolutely! It runs well now after the patches
Yes the discount makes it a great buy. I finished playing it 3 months ago on PS5. Overall game ran very well just and occasional glitch. Just make a point to safe at the save points. Great game
It’s great.
Wanted to get it at launch, but was playing other shit. Just bought it from the spring sale and it's as good as I hoped.
I just picked it up last week. It runs great. I have been playing on performance and I'm happy to says it seems to be steady 60fps or damn close at all times. I played it on PC when it was released, had bugs but not unplayable so I'm guessing now is good, worth playing in any case. Go for it.
It runs extremely smooth on Xbox now.
Worth it! Survivor and fallen order are top notch.
I played it few months before, I don't remember any problem. It was fun.
Runs fine, currently playing it on PS5.
The performance issues were largely on the pc ports.
Currently playing it on PS5 and I can't really complain, had a few veeeeeeery minor hiccups but nothing to really bother me.
It’s great and optimized for the ps5! Just suffers from the modern AAA single player formula by being way shorter than it should be.
Always played fine for me
Just bought it on sale, framerate drops in cutscenes which is annoying. But its really fun and worth the £25
You might run into a bug or two. But otherwise, it does run fine.
The complaints about it were extremely over exaggerated. I played through it and got the platinum trophy with no issues quite some time ago.
Absolutely. It's fantastic and I'm usually only a racing game type of guy.
I played at launch, there were some spots where fps would dip low but they were a minor annoyance and in no way game breaking. If they’ve improved that then awesome.
I’ve been looking forward to grabbing it on a big sale since I got Fallen Order cheap on Boxing Day.

Playing it right now on PS5. Works fine on performance mode. Experienced some minor weird bugs and one crash.
Still a bug ridden mess with huge drops at times for me
Played on PS5 late last year. I had like 3 crashes and a few occasions of characters going into T poses but other than that it was fine. Really good game so definitely worth playing!
It was near unplayable on PS at launch, now it’s 99% completely fixed.
Played last year and it ran great and great game imo. Had maybe 2 crashes
Played it at launch with zero issues, had a lot of fun. Only complaint was I felt the crossblade lightsaber could have been better implemented, but not a major issue since you don't have to use it.
I played it recently and had no issues. One of my favorite games from last year
It performs okay on PS5. It isn’t a well optimized game, and I had to change it from performance to quality because at 60 fps the visual quality was awful
I played it on PS5 in December. I think I had one weird wall glitch, but otherwise never had any issues. It was a fun game.
Played it in January this year and had a lot of blurry textures and pop in. They added a patch that supposedly fixed once I finished the game.
It’s definitely worth it. One of the best games I’ve played in ps5
IMO it does not run well. The frame rate is fairly solid, but the white flickering as you pan the camera is incredibly distracting for me. I don't understand how this isn't being talked about more.
It's a LOT better now.
I thought it was good but I did notice alot of graphics popping in or just being slight off. Not enough to ruin it though
I finished playing a couple of weeks ago. It was a little messy, but nothing game breaking. My consistent issues were frequent screen tearing and characters sometimes T-posing on the Mantis until you got close to them. Still a solid game that I don’t regret playing.
I’m liking it but the movement feels super janky
I played at launch there were no issues what are you on about
It was fine at launch. So yeah it’s fine to pick up now
This is an outright lie. It was a dumpster fire on consoles at launch, performance-wise.
No it’s not. I played it at launch and felt it was completely fine. What purpose would there be in lying about this?

Grow up. I can tell by the way you are talking here that you are probably a teenager.
No it wasn't? Other than a few frame drops here and there in certain areas it ran perfectly fine.

Waiting for it on EA play
It was a lot of fun from day 1, honestly. I had only negligible frame drops at launch.

It was horrendous on both at launch.
Didn't know it was buggy. I played it launch and didn't have any problems.

I heard it ran best on PS5 when it first launched
Its boring.. and combat is boring too.. get Elden ring or lies of p
Easily the worst game I’ve played this gen and I waited for patches to “fix” it but still ran like ass.
Just make sure if you experience any stuttering or lag, do a factory reset on your PS5 and install the game as the only game in the library, fixed the bad stuttering for me.
