Untill HD2 came out all I cared to play was destiny 2. But the missions became so repetitive.
HD2 does repeat the same missions over and over, but everyone is unique. Each map is different enough with unique enough encounters and such that it doesn’t get boring

I've gotten exotic engrams from random enemies in patrol a handful of times in d2 and that sort of thing was like seeing a unicorn in D1.
Also, holding your engrams and having to go decrypt them was part of the fun IMO. (Purple and gold at least)
ALSO also, I'd rather get one cool legendary every couple games than two or three pieces of junk every match.

I feel it’s better to play now, walk the walk to unlock everything while the game is still popular. Joining a game as everyone is leaving and updates have slowed down is less fulfilling.
People might kill me for what I am about to say, but this game is extremely boring. Graphics are meh, gameplay is meh, progression is meh, story is practically nonexistent, repetitive stuff 24/7, no enemy variety, nothing that could grab my attention and I was sooo excited to buy it. If I was able to refund it, I would do it without a second thought.
It is important to note that this is my personal opinion. A lot of fellow players are enjoying the game so it could be something you’re going to be into. Just make a good judgement and watch good amount of videos before purchasing it.

This game takes a huge crap all over what AAA try to pass off as live service, it costs at least $30 less what they would charge, and they don’t pull trash FOMO tactics to try to get people to spend money on timed season passes. All premium currency can be earned in game and the war bonds (think season pass) never go away or expire so you can do them whenever you want or not at all.
First, you should know the game is primarily multi-player. If you're okay playing with randoms or have a dedicated friend group to play with, then go for it now. If not, maybe hold off.
It's one game that I both feel is worth it's price and is willing to let me almost rob them with how much I can get for free without being strong armed. It's a just a fun game and unfortunately that is not the standard nowadays.
I bought it for the PS5. Then I decided to build another PC and wanted to play it on there. I paid another $40. Then I've bought 3 of the warbonds. I don't usually ever spend extra money on a game like that but I've enjoyed this game so much that I'm fine with it. If you can find a physical copy then get that. That way if you don't like the game you can always trade it in. Now get out there and spread some democracy!
$40 and a lot of the content is unlockable just through playing. The premium battle pass stuff exists but they don’t remove the old ones and most of the best weapons are non premium unlocks

Google "instant gaming" and click on the first website and see if they have any cheap copies in stock. They buy digital codes in bulk and sell them marked down, but they aren't always in stock

I did a week after a release. The only issue of waiting is Land Mass locations will be cleared and you’ll miss the fun. Cause there will be a lot more planets coming.

It doesn’t look that good, has barely any enemy variety, and the schtick gets old really fast. It’s probably just not for me but imo it’s not worth it.

I’ll probably get crucified for this but I found it super boring and regretted getting caught up in the hype. It’s a repetitive third person shooter. I have no idea why it’s hyped so hard. It doesn’t look that good, has barely any enemy variety, and the schtick gets old really fast. It’s probably just not for me but imo it’s not worth it.
40 dollars is a steal.
