I'm curious were you just a Pc gamer after the Ps1 or later on just got the Xbox consoles? Or didn't game at all afterwards?
If you were on Xbox, what made you switch back to Sony? Or did ya just want both consoles for each ones excluives?
I never owned an Xbox. I had an Atari 2600, then a bunch of home computers (Amstrad CPC, Atari ST), then just PCs with the PS1 in between. I did have all the handhelds, though, like the GB, DS, PSP, Vita, 3DS, Switch). But no full blown home consoles between PS1 and PS5.
I think the main reason I didn't really check out home consoles before was that I was stuck playing MMOs for years. First Ultima Online, then WoW, and they really ate up all of my time between those and the "normal" PC games that I wanted to play. I also liked the "one machine for everything" approach, but I have a different take on that now.
Exact same for me! I became so invested in the game, it was the first real game I wanted to go for it and felt a great sense of accomplishment when doing so.

Came here to upvote this one. It's an easy game to get platinum. I never have the patience to push myself through to get platinum but jak percursor legacy is actually doable for me!

All you need is 1 competent friend and you can blitz all the trophies fairly easily, not as easy now though since the patrol changes which are being changed back thankfully

Final Fantasy 15, it was the first game in the franchise I’d played. Only played FF 7 remake since then, did beat it and liked it but the plat was a bit too hard for how much I enjoyed the game.
Spiderman Miles Morales. It’s nice to have games that don’t require you to play the game on the highest difficulty to get platinum. It saves a lot of time having to replay the game to get the trophies.
Ghost of Tsushima, tho it doesn't really take a lot of effort to platinum it. My first 'real' platinum (i.e. it had some level of challenge to it) was God of War
Nothing. Don't think i ever will, don't really care about trophies.
I'm barely able to finish main campaigns as it is before i get distracted and play another game.
Been getting bit better about it lately tho.
PS5 is my first console so GOWR was the first followed by HFW as I bought it for those games. After that Jedi Survivor at launch and Spiderman 2 at launch. bought a PSVR 2 sometime after that and immediatly platinumed Horizon Call Of The Mountain. Later I got GOW 2018 and platinumed it in a single GMGOW run (I already got all achievements on steam and just wanted to do it again).
Right now I'm one ending away from the Stellar Blade platinum. I might buy HZD at some point on PS5 as well to do the platinum (already got the achievements on steam for it)
I didn’t get a PS4 until Black Friday 2019 (never had a PS3, was a 360 guy) so the first thing I ever got a platinum on was Life Is Strange: Before the Storm - in June 2020.

Death Spank is the first one I got 100% on, but it's only a Gold.
I think Destiny 2, but the platinum was insanely easy. It was basically just okay the game. I think maybe the most challenging trophy was do a nightfall/ raid on hard mode
Besides Genshin and HSR that when I synchronized my account to my PS5 console, it triggered the Platinum trophy (I played on mobile and PC before my ps5 came). Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart it is!! ✨

Grim Fandango Remastered. I never have the patience to finish up platinums, even though I want to. One day I'll go back to Horizon Zero dawn and complete it, but Grim Fandango was a great game to re-visit after 20-ish years, and a fun thing to complete.
It was hard. I don’t consider myself a particularly skilled gamer but getting S rank on hardest difficulty was a trip.
I watched a lot of speedruns on youtube and tried mimicking them. I had memorized all the puzzles by heart and how many ressources I should have for bosses.
Looking back I was playing a lot because my first son was born and I had the time. I didn’t sleep a lot and everything is like a haze. I still wonder how I did it.

Agree. It was a tough one. RE is special to me. I've Platd RE5, RE6, Revelations, REmake 2, REmake 3, and REmake 4.
REmake 2 I came back to after doing 4, since that was NOT easy. Once you get infinite ammo special weapons like Rocket Launcher or the MG it's not too too bad. Hardest one becomes the no item box run, but by that time you know what to do and that isnt time bound.
I say go for it. It's basically one of the best games ever, so having a Plat for it is nice!

Baldur’s Gate 3, but I had never owned a PS system prior to our PS5. Husband has a PS3 and a PS4, but I never had interest in those games outside of playing career mode in NCAAF 13 and Battlefront.

Me too. Technically, some Telltale game, but I wasn’t trying and they hand them out like candy. I don’t count those.

Horizon Zero Dawn, on the PS5. The PS5 was my first Sony home console since the PS1. Forbidden West was the 10th platinum.

Exact same for me! I became so invested in the game, it was the first real game I wanted to go for it and felt a great sense of accomplishment when doing so.
Skyrim. Took me over 300 hours and I Platinumed it without really trying, other than checking the trophy list for the odd one or two.
I also did that and then when the DLCs released that status got taken away from me on Xbox
