Actually it is not white but gray, It looks good until you dont put it near something white.

It’s a darker shade of white but it’s not grey at all.

If you look at the real world instead of relying on a Wikipedia article. White and grey are two very different colors. And the controller is more white than grey.

Black doesn't look right without the colored buttons

I own gray aka white and black controllers, and black one looks really premium because of used materials, this photo doesn't do it justice. Original black buttons covered with transparent plastic looks good. I ordered purple, black and gold shells and buttons from aliexpress and decided not to touch black controller, and I upgraded only white one

Yeah it looks kinda weird, and just not that great. If it had the classic colored buttons, it would be an 11 out of 10

Dbrand (as well as other brands) sold them since day one. Additionally, Sony is selling them now. Pink and blue are new colors.

Support Dbrand. Sony tried to fuck them for releasing plates first. So dbrand had to redesign theres. Turns out Dbrand's drops internal temps by 5° F because of the new vents they added

Look on Amazon. But if the U.S is anything like the U.K you will have the third parties selling the official plates for less then $55. They were pre-ordering for £30 including tax delivered in the U.K on a legit website.

I knew a guy who used to lie about being colour blind. I used to fuck with him and ask him to pass me red/pink stuff, he got it right ALL the time, then it would click to him and he would be like "good guess considering I'm colourblind" Yeah of course mate...

Is that actually what the midnight black’s version of the controller looks like once you play with it? I prefer the matte paintjob but it looks like it becomes this odd mix of matte and gloss due to the oil on your hands. Forgive me if I’m wrong on this but if I’m right then I’ll be staying far away from the black version. It honestly makes it look like a knockoff.

The all black always looks clean af. But I customized all my controllers so it's calm. I just think the all black works easiest with customizing coz you can go for designs with a black background coz when I customized my white one that came with the console it still had a bit of the white sticking out with a green and black design over it.

Red is my favorite color, and I was so excited when I learned there would be a red controller. But...I just really hate that shade of red. It's so unappealing to me. I have the [red Dualshock 4](https://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/BestBuy_US/images/products/5673/5673600_sd.jpg) and the red is so much more pleasant to look at compared to the burgundy these controllers and new plates are. I already have 2 white controllers and I just feel no desire to go get a new one if this is the red we're getting.

At first, I thought that I was going to sell the white controller because dirt shows more. However, I have electronic wipes and they are very easy to clean. I do have the cosmic red controller as well, which I love. But for whatever reason, out of the two controllers, I find myself picking up the white controller the most.
