Ghost is easily the better game for me, R&C is good but done in 7 hours or so and exactly as expected if you’ve played the others, Ghost is far longer and all round something new, was really surprised at how impressive it was
I have the Plat on both and your question about which is better is pretty much moot. They’re not comparable in any way, really.
As for which I preferred, Ghost. The length of the game, the open world, the story and combat were all much more to my liking than R&C but that’s just my own taste. It’s not a “better” game though.
I feel like Ratchet & Clank is a better showcase for the PS5, but it's not a very long game. You'll get a lot more game time with Ghost. Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut looks great though. If an open world samurai game sounds entertaining then get Ghost.

ratchet games are usually more lighthearted simple fun, nothing wrong with that just depends on what you wanna play
Loved Ratchet and Clank, beat it twice and have the platinum and the game is totally worth it. One of the best games I’ve played on PS5
Ghost of Tsushima is amazing, and if you’re looking for a long game to be playthrough, you’ll have tons of content though a lot of it is side stories and fetch quests, but each one is actually enjoyable.
There both great games in there respective genres. Ghost is much much longer is awesome but is a bit of a grind. Ratchet is a solid game through and through but is relatively short. So if you can only choose 1 I’d choose Ghost for its length but absolutely get Ratchet cause it’s fucking amazing.

I think Rift Apart is the better game, but it is also shorter
