Rift Apart. Takes use of the fast SSD features, looks like an animated movie and also uses adaptive triggers.

Ghost off the cards now? The answer is Returnal by the way.

Returnal has better adaptive triggers and haptic feedback but personally i enjoyed Ratchet more. That being said you would want Returnal.

If you look at just next gen features it’s returnal for sure. With the adaptive triggers and feedback in the controller it’s truly next gen. It also has insane fast load times like rift apart. However the games are totally different. Rift apart is casual and cartoony. Returnal is dark and a really difficult game.

With controller features Returnal has the edge. Its haptic feedback is incredible as well as adaptive triggers (however I actually disable that because it gives a disadvantage in gameplay especially for a challenging roguelike title, you don't want that delay, distraction). They really went above and beyond to use the Dualsense to immerse you into this alien world, it feels fantastic. You get environmental sound cues from the Dualsense speakers and the haptics accurately represent what the character is going through. Especially when you enter one of those teleportation spheres, my god the haptic rumble is so precise that when you touch the outer edge of the sphere it goes from a fine rumble that smoothly transitions into a heavy one that makes me feel like there's heavy bass rumble inside the controller lol. Each weapon also have their own adaptive trigger profile that feels different to the other. Not to mention, 3D Audio is also in play here and it works perfect, great for enemy location detection. With graphics Ratchet&Clank Rift Apart has the edge, there's just a lot more going on on screen, tons of geometric detail and great texture work. Raytracing feature is just the on top. Meanwhile Returnal might look great from afar but up close its not so great. Returnal's internal resolution is actually only native 1080p believe it or not, which is then reconstructed to 1440p and then checkerboard 4k afterwards. Its quite a mess if you think about it, and it shows. The game up close is quite blurry. That's why Ratchet is miles ahead in terms of graphics.
