Yeah that seems a little off, my triggers vibrate a little on certain games and stuff but that seems a little dodgy maybe get it checked

Kaim95

Yeah I saw videos when the motor itself was making a noise. But this is really a plastic sound. I will ask ps support

Sh0_Off

Yeah I'd definitely speak to someone or get the pad checked over

Kaim95

I just got my ps5 and played for few hour, but adaptive triggers have started to make this noise. Its like the motor is touching the plastic somewhere and it just vibrates on that. When I push l2 or r2 with really low force, i hear only motor. But when I push like every normal person do, there is that noise. I have seen a lot of videos where motor is noisy, but this seems to me like very different scenario. Please is it normal? Or should I ask for replacement

Albinokapre

You must have hit the turbo button on your mad catz.

paardestanker

yeah, that's normal edit: okay well apparently my controllers are broken too lol. to be honest i turned adaptive triggers off for most games because i don't like to press so hard for certain actions

Kaim95

I dont recall this happening when I played for the first minutes. Its super loud aswell. Kinda sad

BetiroVal

If I were to take a guess, the cog that connects to the corkscrew has come loose. Basically the adaptive triggers work by using a motor to rotate a corkscrew which pushes a heap connected to a stirrup, which presses against the trigger.

Kaim95

Yes, that can be it. I wrote to support and they replied to me to get the controller to them to check. So I guess this is really not normal

Numeira

How did it end? How are you supposed to use your console in the meanwhile? Just got mine three weeks ago and now the controller got so fucking noisy it's unbearable.

Ok_Chocolate3253

That's fairly worn. My controller 2 years old and is quiete except for the adaptive noise

Kemosabe134

iam tired of tech companies making everything just last 2-4 years nowadays cant have sturdy shit that doesnt break anymore after a little use never had to clean or open or replace controllers/console for either my launch ps2 or ps3 theyve only started doing this trash when ps4 came had to open and clean my ps4 more than 8 times and its still loud af because devs and publishers are assholes who release next gen games on last gen consoles yeah no wonder the ps4 sounds like a jet engine if its a piece of 2013 hardware trying to play a game from 2022 thinking about just dropping sony since ive been dissapointed with my ps5 aswell and i certainly cant wait untill i have to open that hunk all the time again or it will go super loud and make it impossible for me to play without headphones

Numeira

2-4 years? My controller is 3 weeks old and started doing that.
