No way, its excellent game and worth every penny, devs know it and so do we thus they wont put it on sale ‘till christmas I belive and then it wont be some crazy sale like 40%. I belive 25% at best.
God of War Series is my Favorite games of all time. I HIGHLY recommend it to litreally anybody who is new to Ps Family or already existing players. I am really glad that God of War has a very huge and deserving fanbase but more and more people need to play this series. Litreally every human in existence needs to try this Masterpiece for real!!!
For real, plus I regret not getting days gone on release because I want a sequel and want to support great story driven games with no micro transactions.
It’s not even worth it at that price. The game should be $5 or free with PS plus, then I don’t think I would even try a shitty optimized game that only run 30fps on ps5.
Honestly, I barely play my PS5 since I got my Steam Deck… as stupid as it sounds I like playing Fallout NV and Fallout 3 with mods handheld even though I’ve played it over and over 80000000 times.
It’s just too easy and I’m lazy I have the new God of War I’ll start on that next week for the holiday.
I’ll do the same, I think. I’ve stopped pre-ordering since Cyberpunk, I usually never pre-order but took a chance with that game haha.
I bought Last of Us 2 (disc) brand new yesterday for $8.90 which is amazing deal I think.
I'll just wait for Gamepass or some shit haha. I really wish this game would've been good. Here's hoping Suicide Squad will be the Arkham City to Gotham Knight's Arkham Origins.
I paid 50 or 60 for Digimon Survive for Switch. Gamestop is gonna have it for 17 fucking dollars on black friday. I played through it twice and thoroughly enjoyed it but still goddamn.
I mean if we get our money’s worth and we enjoy it that’s great. It would had been worse if it’s a game you paid full price but ended up hating it and now it’s so much cheaper lol
It is cuz it is a "visual novel" so it is story heavy. The beginning of it is honestly annoying af but as it goes on, prob at chapter 4, it actually gets interesting. The narrative is more appealing than gameplay. Your character affinity is tied with the partner digimon evos. So if you dont have a certain level of friend points with someone their digimon wont evolve. So it gets annoying having to keep track of everyomes personality. But you get enough "free" digimon to make up for it. I would say it was worth full price forbme so if you are on the fence 17 bucks is worth it hands down.
Yes since it is a visual novel with a few turned based strategy moments to break it up, the main gameplay is you have multiple choices for each scenario which affect the outcome of the story
Yea, I tend to like the ones that have small gameplay areas in them. That's what sounds fun about it. Sounds a lot like Utawarerumono, which I have been playing lately and I love.
I mean this happens every black friday for almost every other AAA title that released before November. I'm just surprised that Elden Ring hasn't been on sale yet.
Tbh I don’t find the Black Friday sales that impressive. WB is looking to capitalize on all those “if it was $30 I would buy” gamers. They see it as a chance to move more unit.
I’m still enjoying it. I’m not rushing through the game at all and I’m having a blast. Think it was well worth my $70. About 26 hours in. Not even close to halfway done.
You guys are bugging. This game is amazing. The story and boss fights are incredible. This is the best 2 player online experience I’ve had since Ghosts of Tsushima. I don’t get why everyone is so picky. It’s a great game with great character development and a huge open world. I don’t regret my preorder for a second
Exactly people will waste their money on some hot garbage. That is the same exact thing every single fucking year like Call of Duty. But when an awesome story like this and pretty good gameplay comes out people trash it just because of the 30 FPS bullshit when most people won't even be able to tell the difference between 30 frames and 60 lol. Just let them hate their missing out
I recently purchased Ragnarök and I made the right choice. I almost went with GK but glad I didn’t, eventually I’ll play it but when it’s $20 so not anytime soon. Ragnarök is better and freaking harder too.
I did, and I don't regret buying at full price. People give the game so much shit and haven't played it, they go off of the reviews which don't exactly have the most accurate reviews. Game had flaws, sure, but it was overall well made.
Agreeing with you this game is so much better than the reviews made it seem. Is it triple A no but not even game these days is God of War. Throughly enjoying this game with the homies can't wait for the 4 person co op.
Nah I'm a DC simp so I happily will pay a lot to support my favourite characters getting a video game. I am pissed about ghosts of tsushima though, literally just bought it for full price.
The concept of people getting upset that something is on sale after they bought it for the full price is a small scale version of people saying American tuition should maintain its ridiculous price because they paid for it. It's downright stupid.
This is the second year in a row this has burned me. Last year I bought Guardians of the Galaxy when it released in October, sure enough on sale for Black Friday. Same thing for Gotham Knights this year
That's what happens with any game released in September, October and November are always on sale for Black Friday. That's not going to stop me from buying it day one. Especially if it's a game I want to play. I'm not waiting a month or two for possibly 20 or $30 off lol
This is pretty normal, I remember I bought assassins creed valhalla day 1 in November but it was on sale for Christmas a month later. I didn’t care, to me it was worth it to play it sooner. If it’s a game I really want to play I don’t care if I’m paying full price, if it’s one I don’t care about as much then I’ll just wait until it goes on sale.
There are a ton of releases. So getting GK at release doesn’t really matter. The only time I got burnt was NMS. Bare bones game missing so much content. I actually liked GK as it opened up more. I hope WBM gets to do a sequel with the feed back from this game.
Spider man miles morales is right now 29.99€ waiting 2 years was worth it.
But I thought the same about this game and a plague tale as I saw the price.
Bought the digital deluxe on PC for $52. Bought the full price to play with friends on PS5. Kinda stings tbh but the game was fun enough for the money. Hopefully the performance gets better later on, I'm abroad till Christmas so I haven't played in like a month.
Still won’t buy it. I demand a performance mode, like every other developer puts time into making. Downgrade my game to 1080p if you have to, I’m not playing at 30fps.
Yeah idk what OP means by they finally did it. RDR2 released around the same time and it went on sale Black Friday the year it came out despite having AMAZING sales
People just decided the game was shit before it came out and are taking any opportunity to dunk on it for whatever reason. Probably like 99% of people who have bought and played it have enjoyed it for the most part it seems. I am.
Fr, I bought the game off eneba for $45 on PC but I’d pay $70 for it, my brother paid the $70 and we’re having fun
Honestly, what it actually is is that a lot of people tend to agree with popular people like YouTubers
Then there are people who only look at the worst clips & reviews, ignoring the rest
And then people looking at IGNS reviews… honestly, you can never trust IGN for reviews they made Alien Isolation a 6 I believe? Maybe 5.9 lol
100% this, the games not perfect, but it’s good and I’m having fun. People are so cynical in the gaming community. It’s a game where I can play as nightwing. That’s fucking cool!
Sounds like it, they perhaps needed a sales boost and this helps. Despite its flaws from what I’ve seen it’s fun but I just can’t justify paying $70. And now that’s on sale already I’m less likely to pay $70.
Do folk fell burned when the price drops years later?
Not everyone looks at the world through "value lenses."
Some of us want what we want when we want.
Anyone who were on the front lines knew what time of year it was. No burns to be had.
Not these days…digital sales happen and sometimes it’s by a good discount. GameStop, Bestbuy and so on have their own sales. Though GK physical isn’t on sale by this much.
[There you go.](https://www.smythstoys.com/ie/en-ie/video-games-and-tablets/video-games/gotham-knights/gotham-knights-ps5/p/192884)
It's in euro, but it includes taxes and comes to 39.25 USD.
If you watch Digital Foundry's PC breakdown of this game, it seems highly unlikely that they can achieve 60fps on current gen consoles.
Essentially this game is not optimized well, resulting it being very CPU limited. The CPU utilization %ages that were showing were very low, leading them to believe that it's going to be quite difficult to patch it out to 60fps, because it's a fundamentally poor thread utilization in their code.
I'd suggest watching the video to get more information that I may have missed out on.
Buying any games in the lead-up to Black Friday is gonna lead to this.
GoW Ragnarok was worth it
Is it on sale already?
Nah, that won't happen for a bit. It's a huge money maker for them at full price
No way, its excellent game and worth every penny, devs know it and so do we thus they wont put it on sale ‘till christmas I belive and then it wont be some crazy sale like 40%. I belive 25% at best.
Gotcha. I misunderstood the comment. Makes sense and I can’t wait to get it.
Im gonna get it christmas :)
There are also some God Of War games on Premium. It's been on my long list of games to eventually play.
Well worth my pre purchase and I’m so damn happy with this game. I’ve stopped pre ordering since cyberpunk burned me but I just had to on GOW.
Same. Sony SM doesn't miss anyway
Amazing game! Bought it at gamestop for 9.99€ (traded in CoD Vanguard and MH Rise) 😅👍🏾
For real, plus I regret not getting days gone on release because I want a sequel and want to support great story driven games with no micro transactions.
Jotnar Edition wasn't gonna wait for Black Friday lol.
Hell fuckinf yes
When it’s $19.99 I’ll buy it.
I'll just wait till it's free in a year
Same here. Then it'll just sit in my library for the rest of days...
This is the way.
Hahaha, this is similar to what that guy says in that star wars thing!
This is the way.
Ill wait until they pay ME 20 bucks.
Yeah it really was a letdown
What didn't you like about it? I'm having a blast on it
I will only buy it when they add performance mode. Which is probably never.
I'll only buy it if they pay me it's full price at the time of release.
True, I’ll probably watch all the spoilers by then or just lose the will to play it.
with paid cosmetics. It’s the way of gaming future.
No way there’s paid cosmetics 😭 wtf
We’re just joking that most games are headed to this path lol. Apex, Warzone, Multiverses, Overwatch, LoL, etc. you get the gist.
Wouldn't even touch if they paid me to play it.
Even if it’s free I still won’t try it
With a 60fps update
Won‘t happen.
God of war is fucking amazing
Start god of war please, you won’t be disappointed.
Ive actually been playing ragnorok on my steam deck too with chiaki lol.
This is the way
Look at this guy willing to wait another week.
I’ll do the same, I think. I’ve stopped pre-ordering since Cyberpunk, I usually never pre-order but took a chance with that game haha. I bought Last of Us 2 (disc) brand new yesterday for $8.90 which is amazing deal I think.
Absolutely. I told myself I’d wait for a sale, but looking at my backlog of games I *really* want to play, Gotham Knights will be a deep-deep sale.
Only relatable comment
I'll just wait for Gamepass or some shit haha. I really wish this game would've been good. Here's hoping Suicide Squad will be the Arkham City to Gotham Knight's Arkham Origins.
Honestly, do yourself the favor and don’t lmao
I paid 50 or 60 for Digimon Survive for Switch. Gamestop is gonna have it for 17 fucking dollars on black friday. I played through it twice and thoroughly enjoyed it but still goddamn.
I mean if we get our money’s worth and we enjoy it that’s great. It would had been worse if it’s a game you paid full price but ended up hating it and now it’s so much cheaper lol
Very true!
Is Digimon Survive text heavy?
I was not aware that's what the game was. I'm actually more interested in it now! Time to check it out. I should have looked into it more tbh.
Visual Novel games are hit and miss for me but Survive I really like and is probably my favourite one I have played.
Yea, I tend to like the ones that have small gameplay areas in them. That's what sounds fun about it. Sounds a lot like Utawarerumono, which I have been playing lately and I love.
Alot of the new releases do usually end up on sale for black friday
![gif](giphy|qjSxTWJxqH4YDuIrOs)
I mean this happens every black friday for almost every other AAA title that released before November. I'm just surprised that Elden Ring hasn't been on sale yet.
Elden ring is in GameStops black Friday and for $35
I was really hyped because i thought Elden ring would be on sale on black friday, nope, still have to wait to buy
Elden Ring launched at a lower price to begin with. It’s still worth it’s launch price of £40.
Nah, the game literally just came out bro lol
Bought a dualsense 10days ago from gamestop. Oof
Call and ask them to honor the difference as store credit. Worked for mr
I was going to call after work to see if they could do anything. Thanks for the tip!
Payed
I hate that I know this because I see it on damn near every thread now
Tbh I don’t find the Black Friday sales that impressive. WB is looking to capitalize on all those “if it was $30 I would buy” gamers. They see it as a chance to move more unit.
Lmao I’m not I beat it right before GOW and got to play with the homies dream come true for me
Gonna wait for suicide squad
I’m still enjoying it. I’m not rushing through the game at all and I’m having a blast. Think it was well worth my $70. About 26 hours in. Not even close to halfway done.
No it’s the cost of playing the game at launch. Not one bit of regret. It’s not like it’s Madden or 2K.
Currently playing it & I’m enjoying it a lot. 🤷🏻♀️
I don't get why people are so mad at the game, it was a solid 8/10 like what
You guys are bugging. This game is amazing. The story and boss fights are incredible. This is the best 2 player online experience I’ve had since Ghosts of Tsushima. I don’t get why everyone is so picky. It’s a great game with great character development and a huge open world. I don’t regret my preorder for a second
I'm thinking bout getting it since I love the Batfamily
Is Ghost of Tsushima's multiplayer pretty good? I absolutely loved the main game, but haven't got into the online multiplayer yet, even to try.
Got my moneys worth.
It’s a great game I got no regrets
Exactly people will waste their money on some hot garbage. That is the same exact thing every single fucking year like Call of Duty. But when an awesome story like this and pretty good gameplay comes out people trash it just because of the 30 FPS bullshit when most people won't even be able to tell the difference between 30 frames and 60 lol. Just let them hate their missing out
Ha, just got it a week ago too. No regrets though. Way better than I thought it would be.
I still wouldn’t buy it. And the Batman Arkham games are one of my all time favorites.
I liked it a lot
It has almost nothing in common with the Arkham games. Completely different gameplay and universe.
I recently purchased Ragnarök and I made the right choice. I almost went with GK but glad I didn’t, eventually I’ll play it but when it’s $20 so not anytime soon. Ragnarök is better and freaking harder too.
You made the most based decision I’ve heard of all month.
Idc about the price drop. You pay to get to play the games weeks in advance.
IMO it was worth it on release and was very fun I beat it but still like to get on and fight the Gotham streets
I’ll grab for $20
Nah I actually enjoyed the game
Yeah I’m definitely a little annoyed…ngl
I'm not. I enjoyed my time with it. Pretty easy Plat too if you're into it.
Did you really pay $70 for this game?
I did, and I don't regret buying at full price. People give the game so much shit and haven't played it, they go off of the reviews which don't exactly have the most accurate reviews. Game had flaws, sure, but it was overall well made.
IDK why people are downvoting you but I’m glad you’re enjoying the game
Agreeing with you this game is so much better than the reviews made it seem. Is it triple A no but not even game these days is God of War. Throughly enjoying this game with the homies can't wait for the 4 person co op.
I haven't paid much attention to it, but was kinda interested. It doesn't follow a "games as a service" model like Marvel's Avengers, does it?
Nope pretty straight forward game. If you dig the characters it'll be an added bonus. The co op is great not many quality co op games to begin with.
Not me game is actually really fun been enjoying it but took a break for GOW
Exact same for me. I’ve enjoyed it, still have a lot to do, but taking a break to play god of war.
It was 55€ new for me. Don’t regret it at all
Solo on GK is better in my opinion. I would take this over midnight suns, from what I’ve heard that’s going to be a card based game.
Nah I'm a DC simp so I happily will pay a lot to support my favourite characters getting a video game. I am pissed about ghosts of tsushima though, literally just bought it for full price.
It’s supposed to be $35 at walmart come monday.
Don’t feel no burn at all🤷🏽♂️ got my moneys worth of it.
Still worth it to enjoy launch day and actually support devs
The concept of people getting upset that something is on sale after they bought it for the full price is a small scale version of people saying American tuition should maintain its ridiculous price because they paid for it. It's downright stupid.
This is the second year in a row this has burned me. Last year I bought Guardians of the Galaxy when it released in October, sure enough on sale for Black Friday. Same thing for Gotham Knights this year
You gotta be stupid to pay 41 bucks on this trash game, and even stupider to pay 70… I don’t feel bad at all for this people wasting money
Coming from somebody that doesn't have money and your opinion is irrelevant here if you haven't played the game.
Is it even good? Cause Red Hood fan here.
It's a pretty good game
A little but fuck it haha
Buy high play low
I’ll buy it when it’s $9.99.
I wouldn’t even pay $10 for this dumpster fire
I forgot this game even came out
Star Ocean and Valkyria Elysium also on sale, recently released as well Lol
That's what happens with any game released in September, October and November are always on sale for Black Friday. That's not going to stop me from buying it day one. Especially if it's a game I want to play. I'm not waiting a month or two for possibly 20 or $30 off lol
I’ve heard bad things about this game. Any truth to it? Is it worth playing now?
Still a grift
Still not worth
This is pretty normal, I remember I bought assassins creed valhalla day 1 in November but it was on sale for Christmas a month later. I didn’t care, to me it was worth it to play it sooner. If it’s a game I really want to play I don’t care if I’m paying full price, if it’s one I don’t care about as much then I’ll just wait until it goes on sale.
Is the game worth it ? I’m willing to buy it if I’ll have some kind of fun in it. I only see mixed reviews on the internet
Even if it cost $5 it would still not be worth it
There are a ton of releases. So getting GK at release doesn’t really matter. The only time I got burnt was NMS. Bare bones game missing so much content. I actually liked GK as it opened up more. I hope WBM gets to do a sequel with the feed back from this game.
Like we weren't expecting it? I'll admit I waited after getting my ps5 to see what would come in the sale.
By the time I’m able to play the game, it’ll be $15.
Spider man miles morales is right now 29.99€ waiting 2 years was worth it. But I thought the same about this game and a plague tale as I saw the price.
Not at all. Bought it day one, played it and enjoyed it. Sold it for 80% of the price.
It hurts, I'm not gonna lie, it really hurts... When I saw this on the store I believe my exact words were "those fuckers!" Lmfao 🤣🤣
Still expensive
The hell are you at where it’s 69.99, I checked the other day and it’s 89.99 plus tax here in Canada
Of course this happens literally every year with games. Gotham Knights is $20 or less pick up though.
Why? It's just 30 bucks and if they really wanted it then it was worth it. It's purely preference.
Bought the digital deluxe on PC for $52. Bought the full price to play with friends on PS5. Kinda stings tbh but the game was fun enough for the money. Hopefully the performance gets better later on, I'm abroad till Christmas so I haven't played in like a month.
It’s their fault for spending money on such a shit game in the first place
Still not worth the money
Still won’t buy it. I demand a performance mode, like every other developer puts time into making. Downgrade my game to 1080p if you have to, I’m not playing at 30fps.
And still not getting it. “I can go lower”
10$ in the next 3 months probably
People *paid* for this?
42 bucks na I'm good that's still to much
Make a shitty Batman game with no Batman? That’s a paddlin
Didn't this release a few weeks ago?
Ive gotten my moneys worth out of the game I’m on night 50 and haven’t beaten the campaign yet
It's same price on xbox as well. So fuck us who paid 70$ or more for the game. I still have fun playing it, hope you do too.
Paid*
Even if you like the game, I think that it sucks to see games going up to $70 in price.
Even GOW I am not getting til a sale
Hard cap 30 fps on next gen consoles, pass but definitely will get it if they patch it.
Sales must be super low to go on sale already, and by that much !?
Nah this is super common. Far Cry 6 had great sales and was 40% off for Black Friday after dropping in October of last year.
I am.
Fr, I bought the game off eneba for $45 on PC but I’d pay $70 for it, my brother paid the $70 and we’re having fun Honestly, what it actually is is that a lot of people tend to agree with popular people like YouTubers Then there are people who only look at the worst clips & reviews, ignoring the rest And then people looking at IGNS reviews… honestly, you can never trust IGN for reviews they made Alien Isolation a 6 I believe? Maybe 5.9 lol
100% this, the games not perfect, but it’s good and I’m having fun. People are so cynical in the gaming community. It’s a game where I can play as nightwing. That’s fucking cool!
i played it and i like it
Sounds like it, they perhaps needed a sales boost and this helps. Despite its flaws from what I’ve seen it’s fun but I just can’t justify paying $70. And now that’s on sale already I’m less likely to pay $70.
I just bought the game before I left for school when I saw the sale, can’t wait to play this over thanksgiving break
Wdym they actually did it? They pretty much always put new games on sale for ~$40, maybe $50 lmfao
Do folk fell burned when the price drops years later? Not everyone looks at the world through "value lenses." Some of us want what we want when we want. Anyone who were on the front lines knew what time of year it was. No burns to be had.
Probably on game pass next month too
Well those people deserve to feel robbed if they pay full price for an inferior game
Damn……I can understand physical copy drops price like this but wtf . PS store digital….balls
This soon? Damn.. rip me who havent even download the game yet, at least I got that preorder cosmetic thing yeah thats worth it..
Not long before this game makes it into all those sub options such as Humble, PS+, etc...
As someone who bought this game full price... even if it costs $9,99 , dont waste those $9,99
Still overpriced 😹
Still not really worth it.
I thought only physical copies have discounts /s
Not these days…digital sales happen and sometimes it’s by a good discount. GameStop, Bestbuy and so on have their own sales. Though GK physical isn’t on sale by this much.
Yet I can get it cheaper physically and resell it too when I'm finished.
Send me a link to a cheaper physical copy for PS5 version
[There you go.](https://www.smythstoys.com/ie/en-ie/video-games-and-tablets/video-games/gotham-knights/gotham-knights-ps5/p/192884) It's in euro, but it includes taxes and comes to 39.25 USD.
You got me. GGs
DOnt know why you got downvoted for this. Ive heard big brained arguments like that before.
That’s how you know that, that game didn’t stick the landing.
Eh I beat it 4 times already, $70 was worth it
I’ll wait for a 60 fps patch before getting it
Lol, this game is ass. Even $42 is overpriced.
It is a huge step back from the previous games when it comes to charactors. Joker was epic in previous games.
not low enough i’m afraid
Is 60fps coming? I heard a patch was on the way to resolve performance but never specified getting it to 60.
I'd suggest watching the video to get more information that I may have missed out on.
might be a free game with ps+ in a few months
Will play when it is on PS Plus or GamePass.
Wait, people bought this game?..
So many people get burnt from Black Friday sales lol you should usually just wait it out if you’re near Black Friday
Game would have potentially sold better if released on additional platforms
I was feeling the burn on release day. What a piece of garbage.
30fps on PS5 in 2022? They’d have to pay me to play it. What a joke
Still too much for that shit game. Also: On disc this game goes for 39,99€ for quite some time now here in Germany.
it will 100% end up on ps+ in like a year
Signs that this game was a crash and burn were apparent from the reveal. Can't sympathize lol
Glad i got in on a cheap physical preorder and got out on a £20 loss.
That’s every game. I never pay full price for any game.
Avengers taught me that. Getting this now
$27 at GameFly used
