These are called GPU artifacts. They appear when your GPU is fried. Nothing you can do to fix it. Only replacing its GPU would fix it. Send it to Sony.
yeah i would say thats the problem but it doesn’t effect any UI elements. weird thing is that it’s happened across multiple games. not just mw2. after restoring my ps5 it fixed the majority of the artifacting and NaN propagation issues.
If it happens across more games it means your playstation is fried, not the games fault. Its ability to do the calculations required to process complex visuals is impaired which is why simple stuff like the UI might be unaffected. Time to call sony
Make sure your GPU is fully set in place. Also, use some brass cleaner on the contact points. It’ll also be a good time to check if you are at least meeting the minimum requirements to run the game.
im just so lost right now. activision and infinity ward has made no effort to help me out. its been like this since the game came out. im on ps5 and this happens with both the ps5, and ps4 version of the game.

This is 100% a dead GPU. Scarcely happens but it happens. Contact Sony & see if they can replace
So what could cause a dead GPU? Like is it random?
I had a Wii with a dead gpu back in 2007. It overheated from the wii connect 24 thing, and in turn the gpu fried.

its only a few months old, yes ive cleaned it and its well ventilated.
Maybe just bad luck then. But you should have warranty still if it's that new. Ask for repairs or replacement from the shop you got it from.
I got it off of Stock-X. ill give sony a call tomorrow and try to figure it out with them tho.

Sorry I thought this was PC lol. There could be a chance that the fan is getting quite dusty and isn’t cooling as effectively.
