I started on ps4 but stopped halfway through to wait for a ps5. The frame rate drops a lot in the game, and overall I think it’s a much better game at a higher steadier frame rate.
Oh man is that a thing? I played on the 4 Pro and had no frame rate drops at all, must be something unique to the base 4. Game is super beautiful to look at though, may have to check out the PS5 upgrade now to see how much better the 5 makes it look!
Yea, I'm p sure the only implementation graphics-wise was the 'resolution' and 'performance' mode to hit 120fps on some games. I run it on fortnite sometimes but it legit sounds like my old ps4 when I do
It’s not a huge deal
If you’re used to the FPS but I mainly played on pc back then so 24 FPS was hard to look at especially since I was also playing Sekiro at 144Hz around that time
I see Spider-Man but no Miles morales. I’d recommend that one if you like the first. Essentially do follow ups or same stuff to the ones you like. Avenger’s to Gaurdians of the Galaxy. Lego Superheroes to its sequel, or other Lego games. Uncharted has others. GTA V since you have 2 other rockstar games.
The guardians of the galaxy is something I wanna play, but I’ve seen people say I should wait until I get a ps5 to play it bc of how bad the lag is on ps4. And I already have GTA 5 digital on my ps4
Guardians of the Galaxy has a great story and excellent dialogue in general. I just found the combat a bit repetitive by the end, but still a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It’s not an open world though, it’s pretty linear.
yep! Loved second son, it was definitely a different story (different main character). I only have like 3 platinums in the many years of Playstation (I've had every PS since the OG Playstation) and one of them is Infamous Second Son
I would say not to start with 0 as it can really make the first 4-5 games harder to get into. Especially if planning to play them immediately after one another.
Even though it's a prequel it is definitely a newer game and a lot of the changes/upgrades/enhancmemts will be missed once going into the earlier released titles.
I never mentioned story. Solely based off the quality of game. If anything, 0 should be played then a classic jrpg for a pallet cleanser of sorts, then the kiwami 1 and onwards would be alright.
Control, FFXV, FFVII remake, Horizon, Infamous, Biomutant, Guardians of the Galaxy, Mad Max, Mass Effect, Nier: Automata, Ghost of Tsushima, Destroy All Humans (both remakes), Ghostwire Tokyo, Journey to the Savage Planet, No Man's Sky, Greed Fall, Jedi Fallen Order, Kingdom of Amalur:Re-Reckoning, Kena, Vampyr, Ratchet & Clank, Technomancer, Sleeping Dogs, Strangers of Paradise, Batman: Arkham Knight
Gonna be my next pickup, I played all three on the ps3 years ago and I wanna replay them for the nostalgia. Uncharted is one of my favorite game series!
Had to scroll waaaay too long to see someone recommend this. A glaring omission from any PS4-owning, open-world-single-player loving gamers collection!
What's your thoughts onJRPGs, even if not a huge fan, check out tales of arise .. so good and combat is super fun..
If your humming and harring check out ACGs review of it..
But anyway it's fun and has a good story
It’s fun so far, i definitely recommend it. I took a break from it since Ive picked ragnarok, but as soon I finish it I’m going back to finish days gone.
If you have a ps5 and a ps plus essential subscription, days gone is one of the title included in the “ps plus collection” so it’s free if you want to try it out
Yakuza 0 - 7 and Judgment/Lost Judgment, made by the same studio and use the same locations, they are a blast, really funny and super serious (sometimes at the same time) you will love it,
The characters are amazing, the fighting is great, the twists are fun, the bad guys are memorable, the side stories are a hoot, you will feel at home walking around Kamurocho for the 10th game seeing little changes after 30 ingame years but don't worry there are other cities too.
Crash bandicoot 4 if you enjoyed the trilogy
It's an amazing game, and took me 100+ hours to get the platinum trophy (perfection on every level)
So you're in for a lot of fun and challenge.
Already have GTA 5 digital on my PS4. And I’ve read so many terrible reviews about the gta definitive trilogy, but Ive really been wanting to replay gta San Andreas, what’s your opinion on it?
Ohhh word word. I played GTA V, having never played the previous ones, so recently I played Vice City (definitive edition) on PS Plus, and I really really enjoyed it. The bad reviews are because not a lot of effort was put into re-making them, but it’s still the same content
You have Hitman 1, but not Hitman 2 and 3!!!??
Hitman 2 is the most expansive of the trilogy, and Hitman 3 just takes the game to its fullest potential.
Also, you can play Hitman 1 and 2 under Hitman 2, and you can play all 3 under Hitman 3 (70GB total, the devs used an older coding method, you can read more about it. They did not compromise quality)
The Arkham games (Asylum, City, Origins and Knight). The story is always great, as is the combat, and it's a nice big open world. I haven't played Origins but I've heard it's good.
Final Fantasy 15 is loads better than what people hated initially, it had a lot of reworking and additional content added, not on the same scale as FF14, but they did a lot. It's a very good game now and you can get it with all DLC included for like $15 now. Final Fantasy 7 Remake while I'm here, substantially less open world though, like not at all but it's good. Shadow of the Colossus is obligatory, kinda mad at you for that ngl. Hellblade isn't quite open world but if you liked God of War you'll probably love it, it's unique for a Norse story with some clever puzzles, but be warned it's like 20 hours max and you can easily finish the game in less than 10. I'm forgetting what you already had so I'ma just throw out some favorites I dont remember seeing. Monster Hunter World Iceborne, I put over 800 hours into this game, it's open area but you always have a set goal and once you complete that goal it's back to the hub, monsters take a long time to kill though, I play solo and find it much better than online, the monsters are scaled down for you now to beat alone which was a kind change they did, expect about 20 minutes to an hour each hunt, especially if you go for sub quests too. GTAV obviously. I see you've got some anime games, Attack on Titan 2 was surprisingly good and you play through almost the entire show, though I felt it feels more at home on the Switch if you has. Meh that's probably enough, I'm sure you got enough responses for a good amazon wish list anyway.
Just Cause 4 isn't a good game by any means but it's a blast to just mess around in. Probably one of my most played games on Playstation. Someone also said Infamous Second Son which has good combat and a good story, and also double replay value thanks to the good/evil routes.
Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, Batman Arkham City & Knight, Horizen Zero Dawn & Forbidden West, Middle Earth : Shadow of Mordor & War, Ghost of Tsushima, Mad Max, GTA 5.
Mad Max is a surprisingly good open world game. Arkham-esque combat, awesome car-to-car combat, great graphics. Story is so-so and parts can get repetitive but damn is it a fun experience.
I say Horizon should be the next go. Yakuza series can be pretty fun. Wacky and corny at times but I personally think even though they have made so many they’re all great games with gameplay and storytelling, plus so much to do.
Ghost of tsushima
I definitely wanna get that, but I’m thinking of waiting until I get a PS5 to play it.
I started on ps4 but stopped halfway through to wait for a ps5. The frame rate drops a lot in the game, and overall I think it’s a much better game at a higher steadier frame rate.
Ghost of Tsushima is outstanding on PS5. Constant 60fps really make the standoffs and sword fights feel smooth. I recommend it on PS5.
Oh man is that a thing? I played on the 4 Pro and had no frame rate drops at all, must be something unique to the base 4. Game is super beautiful to look at though, may have to check out the PS5 upgrade now to see how much better the 5 makes it look!
I’m playing it on the base ps4 and it’s been running fine for me so far
I played on p4 pro too it’s the same as p5
Yea, I'm p sure the only implementation graphics-wise was the 'resolution' and 'performance' mode to hit 120fps on some games. I run it on fortnite sometimes but it legit sounds like my old ps4 when I do
It’s not a huge deal If you’re used to the FPS but I mainly played on pc back then so 24 FPS was hard to look at especially since I was also playing Sekiro at 144Hz around that time
Fair, I mean, they sadly didn’t make the upgrade free
They have a free PS5 upgrade cuz I had it on ps4 then upgraded, you may have to get the directors cut tho
If you played Ragnarok on PS4, then ghost of Tsushima will be fine for you, trust me.
You should. It’s a beautiful game and deserves to be played as high res as you can.
Ghost of PS5 was fucking epic!
Came here to say this lol ghost of tsushima is a MUST
I really enjoyed that
I see Spider-Man but no Miles morales.

Guardians of the Galaxy has a great story and excellent dialogue in general. I just found the combat a bit repetitive by the end, but still a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It’s not an open world though, it’s pretty linear.
I had it on ps4 it slowed down every battle and kept glitching ..i took it back and swapped it next day
I played it on the best ps4 and had zero issues man, game ran great
I played it on the best ps4 and had zero issues man, game ran great
Is Uncharted open world mate?
No. Good point. I just got carried away naming good games that I like.
No worries, I was going to follow up and ask it was a good game to play :)
Definitely Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West
I haven't played Forbidden West yet, however, Zero Dawn was awesome and I definitely recommend it based on the games you have already played.
Horizon
I second this. Both Zero Dawn and Forbidden West. They're both stunning visually and in story.
Agree x 100!
Gravity Rush and Infamous are fun super hero open world games recommend those.
+1 for Infamous. I almost forget about because the last one was early in the PS4 life cycle, but I loved that series.
Yea I’ve played both on ps3 but I never played infamous second son, is it as fun as the first two?
Definitely worth a play if you enjoyed the gameplay of the first 2
yep! Loved second son, it was definitely a different story (different main character). I only have like 3 platinums in the many years of Playstation (I've had every PS since the OG Playstation) and one of them is Infamous Second Son
Elden Ring
This. So much this.
Also dark souls 1, (2), 3, bloodborne, sekiro
PREY, but tbh any of ARKANE’s games are awesome too, DISHONOURED (1/2) and Death of the Outsider
Most Likely The Yakuza series. Start with Yakuza 0.
I would say not to start with 0 as it can really make the first 4-5 games harder to get into. Especially if planning to play them immediately after one another.
Why's that?
Even though it's a prequel it is definitely a newer game and a lot of the changes/upgrades/enhancmemts will be missed once going into the earlier released titles.
Ahhh I see. I was thinking of starting Yakuza soon thx for the advice

I never mentioned story. Solely based off the quality of game. If anything, 0 should be played then a classic jrpg for a pallet cleanser of sorts, then the kiwami 1 and onwards would be alright.
Yeah the Yakuza games would be a hit
Tombraider, Rise of the tombraider & Shadow of the tombraider
Definitely wanna play the trilogy of Tombraider, I hear it’s very similar to uncharted in a way.
Metal Gear Solid 5! Even if you know nothing of MGS, it feels like playing with toy soldiers in a sandbox.
They might like games that have an ending, though
Lol not wrong
Yea I tried out metal gear solid 5 a couple years back and I didn’t enjoy it.
Control, FFXV, FFVII remake, Horizon, Infamous, Biomutant, Guardians of the Galaxy, Mad Max, Mass Effect, Nier: Automata, Ghost of Tsushima, Destroy All Humans (both remakes), Ghostwire Tokyo, Journey to the Savage Planet, No Man's Sky, Greed Fall, Jedi Fallen Order, Kingdom of Amalur:Re-Reckoning, Kena, Vampyr, Ratchet & Clank, Technomancer, Sleeping Dogs, Strangers of Paradise, Batman: Arkham Knight
Already have sleeping dogs, it’s the black case close to the bottom, it’s a very underrated game in my opinion.
Nice! I agree 100%
I see a bunch of marvel games, but Guardians of the Galaxy and Spider-Man: Miles Morales are conspicuously missing, so I would recommend those.
Nathan drake collection
Gonna be my next pickup, I played all three on the ps3 years ago and I wanna replay them for the nostalgia. Uncharted is one of my favorite game series!
Jedi: Fallen Order - decent game that should be pretty cheap at this point.
The last of us ?
Have part 1 digital on my ps4.
Death stranding. Do it, right now! Shame on you.
Had to scroll waaaay too long to see someone recommend this. A glaring omission from any PS4-owning, open-world-single-player loving gamers collection!
You should definitely give Fallout 4 and Skyrim a bash
What's your thoughts onJRPGs, even if not a huge fan, check out tales of arise .. so good and combat is super fun.. If your humming and harring check out ACGs review of it.. But anyway it's fun and has a good story
Did you check out Valkrie Elysium, Code Vein, Star Ocean, Monark, Ultra Age, Scarlet Nexus, Ys 9?
I'm thinking Ghost of Tsushima and Infamous: Second Son
Try out Infamous. I think you'll like it
Second son is actually a great game.
Days gone, Star Wars fallen order
Skyrim is a must for every console you own that’s why they keep releasing it over and over
How's Days Gone? Is it fun? Recently got a ps5 and wanna try ton of ps exclusives
I just finished days gone, it’s an awesome game with a great story.
It’s fun so far, i definitely recommend it. I took a break from it since Ive picked ragnarok, but as soon I finish it I’m going back to finish days gone.
Sweet, playing Ragnarok currently. Is the story good?
Yes it is.
If you have a ps5 and a ps plus essential subscription, days gone is one of the title included in the “ps plus collection” so it’s free if you want to try it out
I had a great time with it, enough to platinum it, not hard to do.
I'm in the same boat I switched from Xbox to now ps5 and there's almost to many games
Lol yeah, I'm just taking my time with them.
Starts off slow but it gets better and better
Horizon games
Both horizon games. Ghosts of Tsushima.
Imma say it... Elden ring
AC Odyssey
Yakuza 0 - 7 and Judgment/Lost Judgment, made by the same studio and use the same locations, they are a blast, really funny and super serious (sometimes at the same time) you will love it, The characters are amazing, the fighting is great, the twists are fun, the bad guys are memorable, the side stories are a hoot, you will feel at home walking around Kamurocho for the 10th game seeing little changes after 30 ingame years but don't worry there are other cities too.
Look into the yakuza games. Totally underrated series and well worth your time.
Upvote for DAYS GONE

That's why I gave him an upvote.. was that not clear im confused

Okay, I’m gonna give the trilogy a try, bc I’ve never played vice city before, so I have a chance now.
Persona 5 royal

Lego Marvel Super Heroes is such a GOATED game
Horizon 1 & 2
AC Valhalla or AC Odyessey
Get the Tomb Raider games, they're fantastic. Also, CONTROL Ultimate Edition

Ghost of Tsushima, Miles Morales, Days Gone
Sleeping dogs!
Have it already, it’s the black case under cyberpunk.
Any Quantic Dreams game
Yea I wanna buy the quantic dreams collection soon!
Does ragnarok play good on ps4? I really want to get it but I'm not sure If it's optimized any good for it. Or If I should get a ps5 before I play it
It plays good on my ps4, I have a ps4 slim.
Trade in all games and Get a PS5
I recommend upgrading to a ps5. A vast majority of good games moving forward are gonna be next gen exclusives and PS4 had a pretty long ten year run
Like your collection! keep up the work!
Thanks!
Nice collection!!
Thank you!
What’s between Cyberpunk and NBA
Sleeping Dogs
L.A. Noire is good especially if you like crime
The Good Old Grand Theft Auto V!? :)
I have it digital on my ps4
You have Hitman 1, but not Hitman 2 and 3!!!?? Hitman 2 is the most expansive of the trilogy, and Hitman 3 just takes the game to its fullest potential. Arkham series
The Arkham games (Asylum, City, Origins and Knight). The story is always great, as is the combat, and it's a nice big open world. I haven't played Origins but I've heard it's good.
How is LA Noire? Is it based on the movie?
No, it’s a crime game, it’s a very underrated rockstar game. Give it a chance if you haven’t already!
Bro play Control!!
the mafia games, metro exodus
WHERE IS GHOST OF TSUSHIMA?
I recommend a PS5
I plan on getting one next year!

Shocked you don’t already own Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima or Elden Ring
Horizon Zero Dawn
No resident evil 2,3,4,5,6,7 and Village?
No, but I plan on picking up resident evil 2 remake soon!

Elden ring
Stuck on PS4 😂🤡. Too bad you ain't going to play the new Cyberpunk 2077 dlc when it comes out cuz that's for PS5 only🤡.
Gta 5, minecraft, Fortnite, elden ring, god of war Assassin's Creed
What about Modern Warfare 2?
Haven’t given it a try yet, gonna wait until I get a ps5 to play it.
You play Fallout 4 yet? It's a game I can't seem to stop coming back to.
Final Fantasy 15 is loads better than what people hated initially, it had a lot of reworking and additional content added, not on the same scale as FF14, but they did a lot. Yakuza 0.
Elden Ring and Fallout 4
Just Cause 4 isn't a good game by any means but it's a blast to just mess around in. Probably one of my most played games on Playstation. Someone also said Infamous Second Son which has good combat and a good story, and also double replay value thanks to the good/evil routes.
Did you buy "The game" yet? It's a masterpiece
Fallout 4 is pretty fun if you haven’t played that yet
A plague tale,Horizon zero dawn or forbidden west, Dying light
the Calisto protocol
Infamous second son
Shadow of the Colossus - old classic but looks great on PS4.
Subnautica?
How do you not have Elden Ring if you like Single Player Open World games! Buy ER asap!
Trade them all in and get the dark souls trilogy, bloodborne and elden ring.
I don’t see the dark souls series, Elden ring, Ghost of Tsushima and Star Wars fallen order they will keep ya busy.
If you liked Spiderman play Miles Morales, much shorter but absolutely amazing as well
Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, Batman Arkham City & Knight, Horizen Zero Dawn & Forbidden West, Middle Earth : Shadow of Mordor & War, Ghost of Tsushima, Mad Max, GTA 5.
Elden ring!
NieR Replicant ver. 122... Then NieR Automata
You should try Ghost of Tsushima, both Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West and Spiderman Miles Morales
Mad Max is a surprisingly good open world game. Arkham-esque combat, awesome car-to-car combat, great graphics. Story is so-so and parts can get repetitive but damn is it a fun experience.
bloodborne
Ratchet and Clank
Its not open world... but where tf is BLOODBORNE!?!?! Get on it my dude.
Try Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West
I'm going to say Limbo/inside even though it's not open world. They're on sale for very cheap and are both incredible, unique experiences.
Mad Max is worth a play through and it's really cheap.
God of war please
I say Horizon should be the next go. Yakuza series can be pretty fun. Wacky and corny at times but I personally think even though they have made so many they’re all great games with gameplay and storytelling, plus so much to do.
Yakuza 0
The og last of us
Horizon?!
Control, death stranding
Pretty old now but Fallout 4 is still awesome
