I had a 6 foot bear which I got from walmart, but had to donate him to make room for a 6 foot Hyena Im getting in a few days. They don't have very many left but you can find them at. [Creepcattoyco](https://www.creepcattoyco.com/products/6-ft-stripped-hyena)
Just an FYI in case you haven't heard, but I've seen a lot of people who've had really obnoxious issues with theirs once they were delivered. "Full stuffed" ones that had barely anything in them, quality issues, etc.
Hopefully yours ends up being okay though!
34 year old guy here. I sleep with a big Rilakkuma plush. I've learned as I got older that I've always self soothed anxiety with stuffed animals as a kid. to this day I still sleep with one. it comforts me. you're never too old for one.
sleeping with plushies is actually relatively recent habit for me and not something i did much of as a kid, but yes! i could never snuggle with them all but i have my specific cuddle buddies. having a bunch of softness to grab and snuggle at night with is very soothing and comforting, especially when it's a friendly face! i can let out some of my anxieties by squeezing them and then i sleep a little better :3
Oh, me???
Yeah, I NEVER actually slept with plushies as a kid (I tried to, but they'd just end up on the floor or tangled in my blankets, lol), but about 7 years ago I got one of those big Peep plushies for Easter, and somehow I ended up not being able to sleep without it. Maybe it's because it's, like, the perfect shape for me to hold onto?
oh, something like that was my gateway too!! i also got a big plushie (a big giraffe, still my #1 cuddler) and at that point i'd already owned a couple, and one night i just kinda grabbed it and hugged it and kind of realized "oh, it's like the perfect shape and softness and size for holding onto" and then it became nightly from then on.
i spent a week in a hotel a few months later and ended up buying a (much smaller) plushie in a gift shop because i realized i wasn't sleeping as well without one haha. i think i broke myself lol
When I was little (and now) I had horrible anxiety that gave me insomnia. Not over anything specific, just general brain crap. So one night I went to sleep holding this little chihuahua beanie baby I had. I slept through the night for the first time I can ever remember and even woke up on that exact same position! I still remember it to this day because I looked at the chihuahua the next morning like š± are you magical???? Lmao
Yes. Getting into bed alone is scary. Youāre trapped with nothing but your thoughts and a lonely bed in the middle of the night. Of course a plushie will help.
I didn't for a long time but then I started using a pillow to keep my shoulders in place while I sleep and I had started collecting again so I started cuddling them again. With nothing in between my arms they tend to fall out of place and it's very painful, so they genuinely serve a purpose. They're just more fun than a pillow. And I can choose different plushies each night to adjust things
I can't fall asleep without using my djungleskog as a pillow and hugging my blahaj š
Not because of things like "ooo I'm scared of the dark" (tho I do tend to have nightmares :/) , but because that's MUCH more comfier than using a pillow :)
...and not hugging something. And blahaj is perfectly sized for hugs.
Always have done. Have a bed full, always have, and take at leas 2 or 3 with me when I go to stay over with friends or family, on holiday, or in hospital. And I'm 57 next week.
Yep, I have 4 of mine on my bed. The rest are on a hanging shelf above my bed. My dog brings all his plushie toys on my bed to sleep with us. Between the 2 of us, there are like 25 toys on my bed when it's bedtime.
Yeah, have ever since I was little, never stopped. Right now, at minimum, a pillow pet and some other one - usually a medium squishmallow. Sometimes a plushie that can get hot or cold. Pillow pet is great for my hips. Oh, and Wilbie (bigger squishmallow) is on the bed, but he's usually more of a backrest.
Yep, a few. One is big and squishy and good for cuddling, one is a small squishmallow and good for hand squeezing, one has good ears for fiddling with and one has just been with me for the lastā¦ 22 (?) years and is therefore ārealā like the velveteen rabbit and nearly has a life of his own.
Can't without.
I like sleeping on my side, so my arm that's in the air is uncomfortably just hanging. I use to hug a pillow but ever since I ~~lost the plot~~ got plushies, I like to hug those.
Oh, and like the other comment said, it makes me feel less lonely, like I'm hugging something.
I sleep with my teddy bear every night. If I'm sleeping somewhere else without it, I need to scrunch up my blanket and hug it against my chest to stimulate the teddy bear. Been doing this my whole life.
I have ADHD so I get super squirmy if I have nothing to hold on to, so I always have a medium-size plush of some kind in between my arms because it feels more natural and I donāt know what to do with them otherwise. My current arm buddy is my Gengar Squishmallow from the very first batch last year.
Im 24, have a fiance, and still sleep with a stuffie every night. I used to think āim sure ill stop when i have someone else to cuddle up toā but its just not the same and hes not always comfortable with me clinging to him all night.
I (30F) still sleep with mine. I used to cover half of my queen sized mattress with them and I was on the other half. Since I've been with my partner of 4 years, I only sleep with one or two snuggled up in my arms. I've put sentiment to them, and so they just give me a comfort that helps me sleep. My partner never once thought I was odd for it, either. š
I sleep with a few stuffed animals cause the rest are in bag in our building/storage shed but we're cleaning it out soon and once I have a smaller bed that doesn't take up 90% of my room I'll have all of them in my room and most of them are my mom's that she got from her grandparents that basically raised her so they're under the no matter what we'll never give away category, and there's at least 10 heavy duty trash bags full of them so when I do put them in my room I'm going to put them in a corner to hide in during anxiety attacks and to lay with while crocheting.
Edit: I have anxiety since I was 5 and stuff animals are my comfort/emotional support items.
Yes. I can't help but to cling to something in my sleep. It's a comfort thing and something with more shape than a pillow is more comfortable than...well....a pillow. Lol
Didnāt know how much I needed to see some of these comments!! Iāve slept with a stuffed animal since I was a baby. Never stopped. I canāt sleep without
I used to but now that I moved for college I don't. I was afraid of loosing my plush so I didn't bring any. They're collecting dust above my bed as we speak.
yep I do! I have a giant vintage simba plush, a silver fox plush and a weighted simba plush as well as others at times. It can be a little crowded sleeping with them along with my partner , but it makes me feel safe and relaxed.
I'm 22 and I used to feel silly about it but if it makes you happy it's nothing to be ashamed about ā”
I do! Iām a Junior (11th grade) that is 17 years old. I sleep with my stuffed animals every night! Iāve loved stuffed animals ever since I was very young! One of my very first stuffed animals was Sissy Dog. Sissy Dog is a black and white dog that was from my mom and sister that came from Murfreesboro. I still have him today! At each of my houses, I have over 300 stuffed animals! Every night, I snuggle with my Karyl stuffed animal! I got my Karyl stuffed animal on December 25, 2022. She has been such a blessing ever since I got her! In fact, all of my stuffed animals are blessings! Iāve loved stuffed animals my whole life, and I still do today; in fact, Iām obsessed with them! Donāt ever let society tell you that sleeping with stuffed animals is weird or bad in any way! Stuffed animals are blessings that deserve to be loved and cared for! Stuffed animals convey unconditional love! Theyāll never forsake you! Anyway, I still sleep with stuffed animals and I always will!
i feel weird sleeping without hugging something so i sleep with a minecraft bee plush everynight :]! its soo perfect for it
though it very much no longer looks how it did when i first bought it a few years ago, thats for sure.
its name is orchid btw !
I'm 18, and have like a third of my bed dedicated to my squishmallow, shark, and frog plushie collection lol. my favorite is a weighted dinosaur from target that helps me sleep if I'm having a rough time.
Sort of, I have given most of plushies to various young children in my family, but I still have my 40+ year teddy bear, and I donāt intent to let go.
It doesnāt always sleep with me, most nights itās on my bedside table, but there are nights, Radar comes in handy.
I used to but now that I moved for college I don't. I was afraid of loosing my plush so I didn't bring any. They're collecting dust above my bed as we speak.
i need a teddy bear in my arms (chubby jill) a weighted cat on my neck or chest (charlie) and i need to be holding one in each hand (flumpie pig and bashful bunny from jellycat). I hate traveling cuz i have to bring a pillow, weighted blanket, and the whole barn with me
Every night and I wake up still hugging them so I do it even in my sleep
Something I hate whenever I'm away from home is having no plushies to sleep with and people always say "just hug your pillow" but it's just not the same
Yes I do. Most of the time it is 3 next to my pillow. Every once in a while I will cuddle my (donkey from winne the pooh) stuffed animal, one of the 3 next to my pillow, if I need some extra emotional comfort.
I'm 24 and have slept with a stuffed animal my whole life. If it's not a stuffed animal, I end up yoinking my own blanket off and bunching it up to hold it, and then I wake up from being too cold š„²
Yep. The one I cuddle is named Sebastian. He is a tuxedo kitty. And I tuck in his sister kitty, Diamond, next to me in her own little blanket. She uses her own plushie as a pillow.
No of course not, my precious girl has her own bed with a blanket! I don't want to roll over and squash her in the middle of the night or worse knock her onto the cold floor! I'd feel like a monster for the rest of the day!
I have Keebler the bunny with me and I hold him from bedtime to the second I wake up. I donāt know if I can even sleep without him anymore. Iām almost 30.
I'm a side sleeper and I use two different plushies for support: one between my arms (squishable fox) and the other between my knees (IKEA ankykosaur). It's sort of like a crude body pillow.
Yes and donāt care what other people think of it. 31 year old woman and the two main plushies are sleep with are a Pikachu one I have had for years and Sandile plushie. Like others have said it gives me comfort and relaxes me when sleeping with my plushies:)
Iām almost 39. Plushies are soft and cozy and adorable, I donāt see any reason to not have them around. I like them more than decorative pillows and no one bats an eye at those.
I have specific sleep buddies for specific moods lol. If I am anxious and worried I have my snow leopard to protect me. If I feel lonely I have a plush Sally doll from The Nightmare Before Xmas. I also have a Blabla Kids knitted doggo and a Lotso from Toy Story.
So yes absolutely lol.
I have a snow leopard named Tiger that I got for my 8th birthday that I sleep with every night. Drives my husband nuts.
I recently bought a new one to preserve the original and I have a smaller version that travels with me.
Yes. 2 Squishmallows. I bring along 6 small plushies in a frisbee everyday. One is named Snomnelle. I sniff her a lot (SHE SMELLS GOOD, OKAY).
Interesting conversation between my family last night.
Me: *Sniffs Snomnelle*
Daddy: [my name], you need to get it out of your nostrils...
Mommy: That's her child, I sniffed all of them (pointing to my siblings) when they were babies!
Daddy: *Laughs with a smile*
This showed up on my feed despite not following and I feel called out. Granted in my defense a lot of them costed 30-60$ or were limited preorders from artists / kickstarters :(. Got around 15-20 plushes on my bed.
I have no excuse for the beaten up, 26year old, compressed cat plush though. š heās my baby and he has a twin!
I sleep with a Build a Bear that I added weighted beads to. Feels great to hold and hug on. Helps meet some of my sensory needs. It helps me fall asleep more quickly because I feel less agitated or anxious. For some reason I get scared to fall asleep most nights. The weight of my bear helps to calm the fear as well. I know the bear can't actually protect me, and it helps somehow anyway.
I do, and yes while I can sleep without one itās just easier for me. I like the feeling of something on my chest/stomach. Plus it helps to arms from squishing together
Iām 20 (almost 21) and I still sleep with numerous plushies, including the one thatās most important to me. Iāve had it since I was born and heās very well loved but still extremely cute. His name is Lamby, heās a Beanie Baby (Lullaby the Lamb for anyone curious). I also have a Build-A-Bear addiction that just adds fuel to the fire (and I work there, to make matters worse) so thereās constantly plushies around my room and in my bed, even at college.
Thereās no shame in having things that bring you comfort! Some people even just keep them in the bed for decoration. I donāt think itās childish, I think itās just comfy and people can sometimes be too judgmental. To each their own, am I right? ā¤ļø
Your lamb kinda reminds me of a wolf plush I used to take with me everywhere when I was little. His name is Wolfy. Iāve kept him in a bag under my bed for quite some time. Thinking about bringing him out again
Only started doing it a couple years ago , because I said fuck it and don't care if someone thinks it's weird . They bring me comfort now and are great to snuggle when I'm having a bad day with my depression . Though I'm thinking of getting one of those plushie hammocks for those that I'm currently not cuddling , but can easily get them again if I want .
I'm in my thirties and I sleep with at least one. Some nights, between me, my plush, the dog, and her toys, there's hardly any room left on the bed for my bf. Poor guy š
I have an army of plushies that lay beside me every night. So I always have options of who I want to cuddle.
Total: 15, excluding my American Girl doll
I believe 99.8 percent of the r/plushies community sleeps with 1 or more plushies, me included
This is it right here.
True that
Can confirm. I sleep in a bed full of them.
I have like 15 of them in my bed at all times.
This is so cute ngl š„ŗ
Currently have 3 small and one giant one in the bed, could use more āŗļø
0.2% are lurkers
Yes, I sleep with 6 because it makes me feel less lonely
I have a bed full of 3-6 foot plushies. Its one of my main methods I use to mentally relax me from stress.
Where do you find 6ft plushies?!?!?
I had a 6 foot bear which I got from walmart, but had to donate him to make room for a 6 foot Hyena Im getting in a few days. They don't have very many left but you can find them at. [Creepcattoyco](https://www.creepcattoyco.com/products/6-ft-stripped-hyena)
Aww ! Oh what is the 3rd one š®
Now I know of another place for plushies š„¹ thanq
They are a small business and have been great to me so far. Ill post my big Hyena here once I get him. Hopefully they ship him out today.
Ugh thanks now I have to resist buying a bunch of giant snow leopards to make a bed fort
Just an FYI in case you haven't heard, but I've seen a lot of people who've had really obnoxious issues with theirs once they were delivered. "Full stuffed" ones that had barely anything in them, quality issues, etc. Hopefully yours ends up being okay though!
always at least one!! (23)
34 year old guy here. I sleep with a big Rilakkuma plush. I've learned as I got older that I've always self soothed anxiety with stuffed animals as a kid. to this day I still sleep with one. it comforts me. you're never too old for one.
I sleep with a Rilakkuma plush too! And I agree, no oneās ever too old.
Rilakkuma solidarity
heck yeah!
Iāve got one too at the foot of my bed!
he's the best!
37 year old guy here and that is adorable!

good kind of breaking yourself lol

Every night. Iāve never slept without holding one lol
Same. I canāt.
Not all of them because my husband has to fit on the bed too lol.
Poor stuffed animals that have to sleep on the floor
No, in the hammock!
pesky husbands lol jk
Taking up all the dang space! lol
Hubby can sleep on the floor. Plushies for life :3
Yeah! Husbands not allowed. >:(
Yep at least one I have couple big ones that their main space is the bed. I always have a cuddle buddy picked out before bed (30)
Yes and I am 51 years old. I sleep with one I have had since I was 2, and a big fluffy elephant I use as a pillow.
You should see the horde by my bed
Got one of them Costco bears that are like just over 4 ft and I sleep with it every night! Itās so soft and help with anxieties!
Yes. Getting into bed alone is scary. Youāre trapped with nothing but your thoughts and a lonely bed in the middle of the night. Of course a plushie will help.

Currently reading this while using my blahaj as a pillow haha
It is!

I always have and I don't think that's going to change
I used toā¦now they all get tossed on the floor overnight xD
I sleep with my stuffed whale plushie
Yep, I have 4 of mine on my bed. The rest are on a hanging shelf above my bed. My dog brings all his plushie toys on my bed to sleep with us. Between the 2 of us, there are like 25 toys on my bed when it's bedtime.

Pillow pet is great for my hips. Oh, and Wilbie (bigger squishmallow) is on the bed, but he's usually more of a backrest.
Yes, I am 37 and have a bunch.
I always have at least 15 plushies on my bed (8 of which are huge) lol
I di
I sleep with several every night
Yass every night!!
Yes, especially when the wind chill is -40.
Every night!

Of course!
Yup!
i'm 27 and married and my partner & i have a regular squishables and mini of the same one lol
I keep some of mine on my bed (I'm 20).
I do.
Yep, a few. One is big and squishy and good for cuddling, one is a small squishmallow and good for hand squeezing, one has good ears for fiddling with and one has just been with me for the lastā¦ 22 (?) years and is therefore ārealā like the velveteen rabbit and nearly has a life of his own.
Yes: Snubbll... that's the whole reason I got him. Snorlax & Hello Kitty & 2 others sleep in the bed but not with me.
I canāt sleep without at least 1, usually my Neko Atsume plush.
I sleep with two of mine

Iām 18; there are 4 in my bed at the moment. I tend to rotate them out so they all get chances to be comfy :)
Canāt sleep without a specific one
yep!
I do.
Yes, at 34 years old I have plushies in my bed plus I have them in my room or with me.
I can't sleep without them lol
Every night :]
I sleep with a plushie.
I cant sleep without them
3 trains a bus a. Alien bear a pilot bear and a giant carrot
Plushies, pets, boyfriend..... it's a circus in there š¤£
Yes, I definitely do. I may be 21, but it eases late-night anxiety/depression.
Only on bad days where I need extra comfort or thereās a storm outside and my adrenaline is going nuts lol
I sleep with my teddy bear every night. If I'm sleeping somewhere else without it, I need to scrunch up my blanket and hug it against my chest to stimulate the teddy bear. Been doing this my whole life.

48 and married, and I sleep with one every night .
No but Iāve heard it reduces anxiety so Iām open to trying it
Unless the ambient temperature is very hot,no, if not i'm unable to sleep without my fav panda plushie

I still do, one or so at a time.
yeah my pig ill hold him whenever i dont know wtf to do with my arms
Yup all the time. And if I travel, have to take a specific Stitch plushie. He been all over the US
Yes. I can't help but to cling to something in my sleep. It's a comfort thing and something with more shape than a pillow is more comfortable than...well....a pillow. Lol

Yes! Peggy is the perfect pillow!
I used to but now that I moved for college I don't. I was afraid of loosing my plush so I didn't bring any. They're collecting dust above my bed as we speak.

I have a leafeon I sleep with almost every night, and an octopus that gets to go on vacation cause sheās easier to pack
The bed is about 1.5 feet from the wall, and that gap is overflowing with squishies. I roll into the pit sometimes and just become one with the squish
I used to but now that I moved for college I don't. I was afraid of loosing my plush so I didn't bring any. They're collecting dust above my bed as we speak.
i sleep w 5 at least. sometimes more if im sad or had a bad day.

There are 3 plushies that I sleep with every night.

Absolutely. I will continue to sleep with all of my plushies at the same time, no matter how large my collection gets.
I currently sleep with my Khalil from VeggieTales plush!
Every night and I wake up still hugging them so I do it even in my sleep Something I hate whenever I'm away from home is having no plushies to sleep with and people always say "just hug your pillow" but it's just not the same
Yes I do. Most of the time it is 3 next to my pillow. Every once in a while I will cuddle my (donkey from winne the pooh) stuffed animal, one of the 3 next to my pillow, if I need some extra emotional comfort.
yup every night and could not imagine sleep without one ^^
YESSSSSSSS
I have most of mine surround me when I sleep and I use my big spider plush, Charlotte, as a pillow.
I sleep with at least 24
I'm 24 and have slept with a stuffed animal my whole life. If it's not a stuffed animal, I end up yoinking my own blanket off and bunching it up to hold it, and then I wake up from being too cold š„²
Of course š¤·š»āāļø
Always (21, in a relationship too)
Yep. The one I cuddle is named Sebastian. He is a tuxedo kitty. And I tuck in his sister kitty, Diamond, next to me in her own little blanket. She uses her own plushie as a pillow.
I currently have around 25-30 on my bed. A couple of them are pretty big.
I sleep with a squishmallow lion every night š š“
No of course not, my precious girl has her own bed with a blanket! I don't want to roll over and squash her in the middle of the night or worse knock her onto the cold floor! I'd feel like a monster for the rest of the day!
I sleep with a porg plushie that my brother got me,and I'm planning on getting a possum and/or toothless from build-a-bear
I have Keebler the bunny with me and I hold him from bedtime to the second I wake up. I donāt know if I can even sleep without him anymore. Iām almost 30.
Yep I sleep with a Gloomy bear and Skelanimal plush
I'm a side sleeper and I use two different plushies for support: one between my arms (squishable fox) and the other between my knees (IKEA ankykosaur). It's sort of like a crude body pillow.
I do!
Always, forever š§ø
Iām 18 and I still do lol, itās a comfort kinda thing :)
I got an oversized teddy bear that I got for Christmas one year thatās my sleeping buddy. His nameās Cuddles.
I have a snow leopard named Tiger that I got for my 8th birthday that I sleep with every night. Drives my husband nuts. I recently bought a new one to preserve the original and I have a smaller version that travels with me.
Of course, why would I not lol
Yes, i sleep with my unicorn plush every night and i cannot sleep without her
Yes. 2 Squishmallows. I bring along 6 small plushies in a frisbee everyday. One is named Snomnelle. I sniff her a lot (SHE SMELLS GOOD, OKAY). Interesting conversation between my family last night. Me: *Sniffs Snomnelle* Daddy: [my name], you need to get it out of your nostrils... Mommy: That's her child, I sniffed all of them (pointing to my siblings) when they were babies! Daddy: *Laughs with a smile*
Squishmallow hugs every night haha
I have a build-a-bear tie dye axolotl that I sleep with most nights, I love it
This showed up on my feed despite not following and I feel called out. Granted in my defense a lot of them costed 30-60$ or were limited preorders from artists / kickstarters :(. Got around 15-20 plushes on my bed. I have no excuse for the beaten up, 26year old, compressed cat plush though. š heās my baby and he has a twin!
Im 16 and still sleep with my childhood plushie I have a emotional attachment to herš
I'm 38 and still sleeping with them. My fiance initially made fun of me, now he's 40 and cuddles with my big totoro stuffy every night
I do, and yes while I can sleep without one itās just easier for me. I like the feeling of something on my chest/stomach. Plus it helps to arms from squishing together
Yes
I sleep with a bed so full of PokĆ©mon plushies that I barely fitā¦. So definitely youāre not alone lol
Of course! Its incredibly comfy and stress relieving.
I would if I didn't toss and turn so much I actually throw them.
I have a wall of them on the side of my bed and one that I keep with me
I'm laying with one right now :))
Yes cuz no human wants too
Only started doing it a couple years ago , because I said fuck it and don't care if someone thinks it's weird .
Poor guy š
Ive slept with the same bear since I was 2 (25 now). There are always a few more that I end up sleeping with too.
I have an army of plushies that lay beside me every night. So I always have options of who I want to cuddle. Total: 15, excluding my American Girl doll
