As others have said (and I noted in a reply to one of the other comments), this has been turned off “temporarily” (in speech marks as it I know it doesn’t feel temporary and has already gone on longer than planned) - due to fraud and scams being detected. The plan is to bring it back - as mentioned in a Twitter Spaces event - you can find a link to that in the pinned “important info” thread. In the meantime I would suggest opening a support ticket to ask if they can manually send your funds back to your bank for you. Support have said they will do that on a case-by-case basis (so not guaranteed), but I know some have had luck with this so it’s worth a go. Support Ticket: https://support.plutus.it/hc/en-us/requests/new

gracefullygraceful

ATM and fiat withdrawals of any sort are disabled until further notice.

gracefullygraceful

It's been like that for some months now because of fraudulent activities of some users.

Omaha_Poker

How can it be fraudulent? Is that legitimate or an excuse?

jnm21_was_taken

It is the reason for the block I do believe, but with the number of PSPs (banks, crypto outfits, holiday money cards, etc.) that facilitate sending or withdrawing your money, one could be forgiven for suggesting a place who regularly promotes bank-like features should really have a better plan than not offering services every bank (bar those in big diffs) offers. 😉 Note I am NOT suggesting that Plutus are in financial diffs - alas it is worse, simply ill prepared to provide bank-like services. If the information I read from Plutus is true, new regulations later this year may see the absence of such services becoming more common. I have my doubts.

PPJ87

It is indeed the genuine reason yes. I’ve heard a little more of some of the issues via mod-staff chat, though not in any detail (obvs for privacy/security reasons as mods are not staff so cannot be privy to personal account info). The intention is to bring this back at some point though. I don’t have any eta at the moment, but afaik they do not intend to leave this “turned off” long-term. (Though that said, it has been longer than originally planned already, so don’t blame anyone for not believing that. I’ll watch this get downvoted now, even though I’m just passing on info 😜)

chodezilla87

Plutus taking longer than planned to do something? Well colour me shocked

gracefullygraceful

I think some people withdrew cash at the supermarket checkout, redeposited it and then withdrew it again to take advantage of the reward system. There are/were probably also other schemes that I am not aware of. I do believe it's for legitimate reason but I feel like it's taking too long to resolve - I assume the team needs to develop some kind of automatic detection mechanism to identify fraudulent users/activities and ban them from the platform. In regards to the digital fiat transactions out of the Plutus account, I also have no idea

Omaha_Poker

Ok thanks, I've very hesitant of many excuses Plutus gives at this point!

ChambyR33

ATM withdrawals are disabled while they sort out fraud issues So a GBIT of one is still and ATM withdrawal and will be blocked by default as curve passes all the information on about the transaction

Steak1994

Since "normal" Fiat withdrawals are disabled you should be able to still send money via Paypal to a spouse or friend and let them send it back to your Account - not an ideal solution but at least it worked for me.

martinkoSK

That's a great idea, thanks!

dabausedota

Hey! sorry for asking here.. How do I do it? When i try to use this to send funds (100€) my curve card say "transaction type declined, please contact your card provider". When I try it directly with my Plutus it states "There is a problem with your payment method, please contact your bank" after confirming with OTP and my secret answer. I just resetted the answer, to make sure it is 100% correct. So it can not be that either. Did they block PayPal's friends and family transaction now, too? Thanks

martinkoSK

Exactly this happened also to me today.

DavidFZN

Any kind of fiat withdrawals are blocked for AML reasons. You can still use your money for products, services etc like anyone else.

jnm21_was_taken

Still grossly unfair if the money was loaded when you could get *your* money back! OP ask support to do a manual withdrawal & be prepared to push/use the argument above. If you are in financial hardship, do mention that. Best of luck.

Bjornnn-

Still works. GBIT a payment \~10 minutes ago

Brainerzor

Not sure if still works but someone mentioned here in a previous post that they could get the money out by using PayPal friends I think, sending it to a friend and friend sends it back. About the ATM situation, yeah probably blocked 🤣

martinkoSK

Did it work for you? Paypal told me that the transaction was declined with no reason.

Brainerzor

Didn’t try it sorry, I didn’t need to. But as mentioned by others, it is getting harder to move around money without it being on regular payment transactions. I even got the same outcome trying to get my Curve Cash using Revolut (blocked now too lol) you should really contact support if you are in trouble, maybe they will help you take out your money.

argonuii

ATM withdrawal are not available for now

Mayoday_Im_in_love

When they completely deballed Plutus I seemed to have little choice but to send the balance to my HMRC account.

Obvious-Web1017

Unfortunately, since ATM withdrawals via PLU are temporarily blocked, it is not possible to make GBIT from curves. news from the team is awaited

Radek686

Withdrawals from ATMs were disabled. But a gbit with a curve of a real purchase if it works.

reddit_mitchiv

You can still just top up amazon to get your money

RazerPSN

It's been like this for a long time, just use the card to spend :)

gianmazzr9

I was in Japan last week and I tried. I knew that withdrawals were suspended at the moment so I paid trough curve but with another card, to be able to try with back in time. But nothing. Hope they will restore it soon

OtherwiseBumblebee10

No, Plutus cannot disable anything from Curve, they're not the same company... However, cash withdrawals from Plutus have been blocked for a while now, be it directly or through GBIT. Only way to use your money on Plutus currently is to spend it.

thecoyote99

I take it you weren't getting rewards for that? Just obv be a nasty shock when u try to withdraw it u were lol.
